29 Finally! here in the Capital (2)

A yell that seemingly came out of nowhere resonated inside the wide stoned room, gaining the attention of everyone in it.

"Young master Ezekiel! Duke Jidek has been interrogated in his office right now. We need everyone's testimonies to claim him not guilty of treason." Harold announced this while breathing heavily because he had run all the way down the underground system of the Ischyrós Castle to inform others of the critical news that is currently happening.

Ezekiel frowned. "Everyone, let's go! We need to talk to the Royal Knights so they won't detain my father." he quickly ran all the way to the Iron door. And headed up the stairs, while the other men soon followed behind him.

Yet someone was really irritated at the scenario happening right now. It was Xarth. He can still feel the throbbing in his stomach as he watches the others climbing up the stoned stairs out of the underground system.

However, Xarth just stood still on where he had been standing the whole time as he doesn't want to be caught up with another troublesome situation.

'Ha...I don't know anymore! Why is this happening to me?' Xarth groaned.

'Art! Look behind you!' Soleis flew in circles as he instructed Xarth to look behind him because he just noticed something notable.

Xarth heard this and slowly looked behind his back, he could see a blue large gem the size of his fist shimmering as it remains still on the stoned floor of Amoth's Chamber.

"What is that? And, Where did it come from?" Xarth asked Soleis as he clearly can't remember what happened when he was falling.

Soleis flew closer to his contractor. 'Contractor, That came out of Amoth when he started vanishing into black smokes. It seems to be a special contract maker called 'Bond item', It's like the white moonstone bracelet that I gave you. Though, this one reeks of pure malevolence, clearly stating that the owner of it is corrupted by 'Black Magic'

"Ha! then I ain't touching that!"

'Nooo!! Bring it with you!! It's not corrupted anymore as the black markings are all gone. It seems like was I was mistaken, It's not a 'Bond item' but a 'Summoner's Gem'!'

"What!?" Xarth blurted out as he was shocked at those two words.

'A 'Summoner's Gem' here!? So early!? Why!? Is it connected to them!?' Xarth contemplated meeting those people.

'That's more reason to NOT bring it with me! I don't want to be associated with them!' He now has gained a new irksome situation.

A scowl was slowly forming on his handsome face as he just imagined meeting those two troublemakers. "No, I won't bring that with me!" he screamed at Soleis as he doesn't want to be associated with that kind of item.

'No! It seems to be really important! Just take it with you!' Soleis protested as he really wants Art to take the item.

"No, Thank you." Xarth averted his gaze upon the Blue gem and walked his way towards the stairs leading up while staggering slightly.

Soleis immediately disappeared into thin air but also instantly suddenly appear with another Elemental. This time he brought his friend a Wind Elemental to help him put the 'Summoner's Gem' inside Xarth's spatial bag. A gray light orb started to float next to the white light orb which was Soleis.

'So, Soleis? Why do you need my aid? And What am I exactly supposed to do?' The Wind Elemental asked as he glances at Soleis's Contractor climbing up the stairs.

'Looks like, You've found someone Incredible to be your first Contractor.' Huricus mentioned since he can feel the overwhelming mana leaking out of Soleis's Contractor.

Soleis happily flew closer to his friend Huricus. 'Right!! I don't even know that I was that lucky to find someone like that on the 'Yarcier Forest' I'm so lucky!! He really is strong and, yet he doesn't know it.' He bragged as he was quite lucky to have Art as his first-ever contractor since he was considerably picky.

(A/N: This was the forest where they had stopped to eat lunch and where they discovered the underground dungeon. Notice: I'm currently editing the chapters so the forest name 'Yarcier Forest' hasn't been implemented in chapter 9 do, please pay attention to the updated version of every chapter since there are some changes and new information.)

'Yeah! Yeah! I get it, So what do you need help with?' Huricus asked once more.

Soleis flew backward. 'Huricus, help me install this 'Summoner's Gem' on my Contractor's spatial bag.' He requested as he can't make the 'Summoner's Gem' move from the ground because he was a Light Elemental that specializes in Light elemental spells.

The gray light orb stopped talking because he was deciding whether he should help his fellow Elemental.

Huricus, let out a sigh. 'Fine! Only this one-time Soleis...I don't know what're you planning to do but make sure it doesn't go against the law of nature.' the Wind Elemental added.

'Of Course!!! You've known me for a long time. shouldn't you know that I won't be doing something like that?!' Soleis vowed that he wouldn't use it for something malicious.

Huricus cast the spell 'Float' and naturally, the Blue gem floated in the air controlled by the Wind Elemental. 'Alright! let's go.' he suggested as Xarth is already at the top of the staircase.

The two Elementals quickly flew towards Xarth unnoticed because Soleis cast a Light Elemental spell. 'Light Illusion' A Lvl. 7 spell that lets the caster be invisible for as long as they like though it consumes more mana the longer you use it.

They swiftly squeezed the 'Summoner's Gem' that was the size of Xarth's fist onto his spatial bag by his waist unseen. The two then stopped at the middle of the staircase to bid their farewells.

'Thank you very much Huricus!, You are the best!' Soleis said this while spinning around his gray friend The Wind Elemental.

Huricus chuckled. 'Right...Then, I'll go back to the village now. Since Lyrei will get angry and also, I already granted your request, but be sure to come to the village later! See ya!' Huricus immediately disappeared in front of Soleis.

The Light Elemental looked at his friend disappear happily for his help. Soleis quickly went up to his Contractor, Who is almost out of the underground system.

'Art!! Wait, for me!!' Soleis screamed to gain Xarth's attention.

Xarth slowly turned his back to his bond. "Hurry! We'll be left behind." and gestured him with his hands to come over quickly. Because the others are likely already talking with the 'Royal Knights' regarding the alert that had been alarmed from His highness quarters.

'Royal Knights' A special unit made out of King Taylor Slyman's most trusted individuals, they are people that know about the King's inhumane experiments. They are numbered to be a 10 person unit that is professionally trained by a Swordmaster. Every one of the 'Royal Knights' is on the same level as the Main Messiah's Army Captain knight 'Rodulf' which is close to reaching the Swordmaster level.

The unknown Swordmaster that is currently serving under King Taylor Slyman from the sidelines is someone who came from another Kingdom. It may be someone from the Western continent or The Eastern Continent Kingdoms that likely also conduct this kind of experiment.

Xarth hastily hurdled his way up the flight of staircase, he was already on the Duke's office which was located on the ground floor close by the dining room of the Ischyrós Castle. He looked around the Duke's office to only not find the others that were supposed to be talking with the 'Royal knights' in that very room.

"Where are they?!" Xarth screamed, he couldn't find 4 grown men in this wide ass room.

He wrenched open the doorway to the Duke's office and quickly run down the hallway to look for them. 40 minutes have passed since the others went off to stop the 'Royal Knight' from detaining the falsely accused Duke. That made him more worried because he was imagining annoying things that he doesn't want to be part of. As time flew by and he still couldn't find them.

He decided to go to the dining room hoping that there would be some people in there to ask for help. Xarth pushes the entranceway, to gratefully see maids and servants cleaning the room diligently.

One of the maids looked over at the door that was pushed by Xarth, she saw him and hastily made her way towards him.

The maid positioned herself in front of Xarth before bowing down before him. "Good morning, Young master Xarth." She quickly lifted her head and asked. "What could I help you with this morning?" She spoke while slightly having a shaky voice since she was the timid type. She has blue hair, pink eyes, a sweet-looking face and, freckles spread across her cheeks and Dorsum. That gives off the impression of someone hardworking.

Xarth looked at the maid with an indifferent expression. "Have you seen the Duke or someone that was accompanying me?" He asked.

The maid started to think. "Hm...Oh! Right!, Young master Xarth. I saw Young master Ezekiel. He was running on the corridor towards the main entryway of the castle accompanied by 2 other men. They have quite a frantic look on their faces as they pass by." She described.

"Alrigh--

*BEEP BEEP BEEP

A loud beeping sound was heard throughout the perimeter of the Ischyrós Castle by every one awake that morning. It was the distress signal implemented by a talented alchemist, who is said to be traveling from Continent to Continent seeking out untold discoveries.

The maid's pink eyes started shaking. "T-the distress signal?!" she squeaked.

"Huh?! What distress signal?" He leaned his way closer to her and asked.

The maid was startled by this, she immediately covered her face as she was embarrassed by the sudden step forward of the charming Young master in front of her.

Xarth titled his head sideways before swiftly grabbing the maid's wrist to take off the hands that were covering her face. "Hey! Tell me, what does it mean if the distress signal is activated!?" he started to shake the wrist of the maid because he was feeling anxious at the current situation.

"Young master Xarth, It only means one thing it's either something happened in the Magic barrier surrounding the Lancaster Territory or something bad has happened to the members of the Lancaster Household," she explained as she looks at the Young master with concern.

Xarth let go of the maid's wrist and calmed down. "Where could I find the Captain Knight of the Lancaster's army?" he asked once more with an unwavering gaze upon his deep blue eyes.

The maid nodded her head. "Follow me, Young master Xarth!" she suggested since the other maids and servants inside the dining room, have already fled the scene. They believed it was a distress signal that indicates that the Magic barrier around the Lancaster Terriroy temporarily wore off and that the 'Wanderers' could get inside their territory. That could cause havoc and turmoil.

'Wanderers'

Are creature that spawns at one of the forbidden areas in the Southern Continent called 'The Land Of The Forgotten.' Some people speculate that the 'Wanderers' spawn because of the agony and despair they built up before they died. Causing them to resurrect, to create pain and despair for others who didn't go through something like they did.

They ran their way through the corridors to go to the back entrance of the Ischyrós Castle to safely avoid any suspicion.

Xarth followed the maid from behind, he could clearly see her blue kept hair flutter from the small breeze they create while running. They were currently on their way to the Knights Headquarters to meet Xarth second most liked person other than Zero 'Park Min Ah' inside the novel.

Xarth taps on her shoulders. "Hey, What your name?" he asked since he can't keep on calling her maids or servants because it's really rude from his perspective.

While continue running she slowly opened her mouth. " I am Olivea, Young master Xarth," she responded while her back is turned away from him. Because she was currently focused on running so that the Young master could hurriedly talk with that person.

Xarth just stared at Olivea's back since it was the first time he talked to a girl that close before he was still busy with his job on his real world. "Nice to meet you, Olivea." he elegantly smiled at her for being so helpful.
