Family

Ethan got to his hometown around seven that evening, and was welcomed warmly by his mother and sister. In a true mother’s fashion, his mother hugged him so tightly that it was almost a struggle to breathe, then pulled back and held him at arm’s length to look him over very carefully.

“You look much better than you did last time." She said, running her hands over his body as she inspected him and then nodded, apparently satisfied with what she saw. "So what does a mother have to do to get to see her only son often? Don’t tell me that it is only when someone dies that we’ll get to see you.”

“Of course not, mom. I didn’t know you were so strong. You nearly broke my bones hugging me.” He joked. “I’ve missed you a lot.” He finished, hugging her again.

“Oh, please.” She scoffed, although she looked extremely pleased. “If you miss me that much, then it would not be a struggle to get you to come and visit at least once in a while.”

“I was here about a year ago, mum.”
