Am I... dreaming?

Okay, this one is definitely good. Especially since it's so broad. Since Lu Chen is an earthbender, he can grow very strong, or if I decide to live peacefully, I can just study, become smart, and invent stuff.

"Whoa!"
I sat straight up on my nice bed, sweat pours down my face.
"So that wasn't a dream... I really died and came back... with... I guess another me? Whatever, too confusing to think about."
I look around my big room and everything looks familiar. My big bed, my dresser, the mirror the green rugs with Earth Nation logos on it, and the poster of The Boulder on the wall next to my bed.
"Heh, nice to know that I seem to be around the time period of the show. I don't think I remember The Boulder going back to the arena after the war. Maybe he did in the comics, but I've never read them."
Just then the door to my room opened and a maid came into view.
"Oh! Young Master! You're awake! I must tell your parents!"
Oh yeah, Lu Chen is a part of a powerful family in Ba Sing Se. The second richest if I'm not mistaken. The first being Toph's family, Beifong.
Thinking of my family's place in the Earth Kingdom's hierarchy, a few more maids come into my room with a wheelchair.
"Come, Young Master, we will take you to meet with Lord Chen and Mistress Chen!"
"It's okay, I can stand just fine. Earthbenders are tough, so that means I gotta be tough too."
"As you wish, Young Master."
They bow their heads and head outside.
I make my way out the hall and head to the Study Hall, where my dad is working on whatever business he has.
I knock a few times before I hear and 'enter'.
I open the door to greet my dad, Fu Chen, and my mom, Ki Chen.
Haha, Ki Chen. Sound like kitchen.
"Hello, Father. Hello, Mother."
"Oh, my son, your mother is so glad to see that you're fine!"
Ki runs up to me and embraces me, and kisses my forehead.
Ki is a pretty older woman with green eyes, and long brown hair tied into a bun with chopsticks keeping it together.
"Your Father is also glad to see you standing again."
I look to my dad who just spoke. He looks like me, but a lot older and with black eyes and black hair tied into a small neat bun on top of his head along with a trimmed goatee without a mustache.
"Thank you for worry about me, Father, Mother."
"Oh, there is no need for that with your parents while we converse in private! Are you sure you're okay, my son?"
"I'm fine, Mother. I feel great, in fact."
"That's good to hear, Lu. Looks like you'll get to marry after all."
I look at my father in confusion.
Marry? Who, me? To who??
"Um... Father, what do you mean marry?"
"Did the hit to your head make you forget? I told you before we went to our beach house. I've made plans with Lao Bei Fong to have you marry his daughter, Toph Beifong."
What?! That tomboyish girl who likes to fight?!
Actually, that doesn't sound too bad.
Did Toph ever mention she's to get married? Is this an AU?
Yeah, this definitely is now that Xavier's soul merged with Lu Chen's.
"Oh, okay."
"I must remind you to take care of her since she is blind. You must make sure you have people that can tend to her every need once you two take over as Patriarch and Matriarch of the Chen Family."
"Yes, Father, I will make sure she's taken care of."
Yeah, right. Like she needs my help. She's gonna be one of the first to bend metal for god's sake!
I can't deny that I'm excited to marry Toph since y'know, tomboys are the best and all.
But, to make sure this marriage goes through, I have to respect Toph, and encourage her escapades to the arena, then run off with the Avatar with her.
Basically, I gotta give her the freedom she wants, so that she at least treats me like a friend.
She seems easy to fall in love, considering she's shown to like Sokka for a while, for no particular reason other than he's funny.
I have a big chance with her if I play my cards right.
For a while now, my Father asks me more questions to see if I forgot anything else of importance.
Being satisfied that I didn't forget anything else, he orders me to go back to my room and rest more, to be ready to meet the Beifongs tomorrow morning.
It's good that I get to meet Toph this early.
