5 It's hard to become a good person

When the gate was opened, Teshima, Tanaka (another male teacher), and the man, all those three who had become "things," entered the school and attacked those who were closest to them. They opened their mouths wide and then bit down those teachers cruelly as they took a chunk of meat from their bodies. 

"ARRRGGGH!" 

"IT HURTS! IT HURTS!" 

"MAMA! HELP!" 

Those who were bitten cried painfully as they were screaming for help. 

Yet, no one helped them. Everyone stood in a freeze, watching all of this in disbelief. They just stood there, watching what was happening, before they saw those who were bitten also turn into "them" and run in their direction.

At that moment, the whole school was in chaos.

"STOP! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU! ARRGGHH! IT HURTS! STOP!" 

"UWAAAAAAAAAA!" 

"RUN! RUN! RUN!" 

Kyoko wanted to say something, but no voice came out. She knew that as long as she said something, those "things" would come after her, and as long as she stayed quiet, no one would come after her, so she just stayed in silence, watching all of those "things" bit the teachers and students, increasing their numbers further until they couldn't be stopped anymore. 

Watching all of this, Isao thought that it was hard to become a good person. Even if his purpose sometimes was for the good of many, those he had saved didn't understand his sacrifice, and they just let themselves be ruined. Even worse, they would pull him along them. 

Yup, if there was a reason why he didn't say anything, it was because he knew it was meaningless. Some people might say to him that he should try more, but the situation before them was too ridiculous, and it was impossible for them to accept. 

In their minds, the thought of him having an affair with Kyoko was more believable. 

'Even though I didn't even touch Hayashi-sensei..."

So, watching all of the people who were panicked, frightened, pushed, bitten, and then turned into "them," Isao didn't feel anything. Instead, he felt like he had become a good guy. Watching how many betrayed each other pushed those who were close to becoming a target of those "things" so they could run away; it was better that he shouldn't save them since having them gone from this world might be more beneficial for the world.

Isao realized that being a good guy was tough, but he didn't give up! 

Still, when he thought about moving away, as he knew he might be affected sooner or later, Kyoko tightly hugged him. He looked at Kyoko, who didn't let him go and looked at him with a crying face. 

'Don't leave me...' 

Her voice was quiet, but she sounded so desperate since she didn't want him to leave her. 

'Can you walk?' Isao asked.

Isao was helpless, so he carried Kyoko on his arm calmly before walking away from the panic. No one paid attention to them when they walked away since everyone just wanted to stay alive, and they didn't care about the others. Run. This was what was in their thoughts at the time. Those "things" banged on the door several times, but as neither Isao nor Kyoko said anything, they soon left, as there were many loud noises around them. 

Then, when everything was quiet, the two looked at each other and sighed in relief. They knew that they were okay. Still, when Isao thought that he was okay, Kyoko couldn't control her calm anymore, and she went into hysteria. 

"W-What should we do, Iinuma-kun? Everyone had become those things! The vice principal, the other teachers, and even many students! Everyone... Everyone..." 

Kyoko also felt like everything was her fault, and she became even more guilty, making her fall into deeper remorse. But suddenly, her lips were taken. Isao kissed her soft red lips, causing her to be stunned still, and she couldn't comprehend what was happening. Her head was blank, and all she could do was be in a daze. Fortunately, he didn't give her a deep kiss, just a light kiss. 

"Have you calmed down, Sensei?" 

Instead of calming down, her breathing became rapid, and her heart beat so fast that Kyoko leaped into him, using her ripened, mature body to hug this young man's body tightly.
