Chapter 11

AN: It has been a long time. Sorry for the long delay, i had a few thing going on. But I'm back now... or not. All i can say is that i will be trying to update as much as i can. Thank you for reading.

Later that day, most of the people around have already left the training ground as it was getting dark. Naruto is making progress in cutting the water fall. Ryu says he will be able to do it in the next few days.

Deciding that it was enough for the day, Ryu leaves the Naruto in the hands of Kakashi and Yamato as he goes off to prepare for his date with Karin.

Teleporting back to his room, Ryu freshens up and dresses up. He walks out of his apartment and heads out to meet Karin.

Ryu soon arrives at the place, Karin was already waiting for him.

"Seems like someone is excited"

Karin blushes at Ryu's word but the smile was still apparent on her face "what do you expect when you being hogged up by Master"

In the past few weeks Ryu was either on a mission or Tsunade want his help in her office making Ryu not to have time to go out with Karin.

"alright I have heard; it is my fault" Ryu says "let go before something else happens"

Karin giggles happily as grabs Ryu's arms. Karin and Ryu decide to take a stroll around the village, enjoying the sights and sound of Konoha.

They have done this several times but they always enjoy it every time they were together. Both of them have {THE MIND EYE OF KAGURA} making them able to feel each other's emotions.

This allows they to have a special type of connection as they don't need to talk much to understand what the other was feeling. Ryu could easily block her some sensing his but he doesn't as there was no need for that between them.

They stopped at different snack shops eating different foods. It was a very eventful night for the two of them.

They decided that to head to 'Ichiraku Ramen shop'. On the way there they meet with some familiar faces.

"Asuma senpai, what a coincident meeting you here, Kurenai senpai too"

"Oh Ryu" Asuma who was also on a date with Kurenai was a bit shocked to see Ryu "A coincident indeed Ha…ha we just came out for some fresh air"

"Same could be said for us" Ryu replied as he raises his eye browns at Asuma who was still acting like that.

While Asuma is embarrassed to talk about him and Kurenai, Ryu and Karin have never been shy about their relationship.

"So where are you guys heading?" Karin asked

"We were heading back am not really feeling to well"

"Oh what wrong?" Karin walks up to check on her.

Suddenly eyes widen in shock. She looks at Kurenai and says "You are pregnant!!?"

"Huh!" Ryu looks over in shock. He had forgotten about that.

"Congratulation Asuma, you're going to be a father" Ryu congratulates him.

"I didn't expect you guys to find out. I wanted to keep it a secret"

"What are you doing? She must be stressed hurry up and take her home"

"Yeah you right we will get going"

Ryu and Karin watch as they disappeared into the crowd. Karin was excited about the fact that they were having a baby as she talks about it till they reached 'Ichiraku Ramen'.

After they ordered, Ryu thought about how Asuma dies to Hidan in the original.

'it doesn't matter I will be able to save him when the time comes' Ryu was confident that he would be able to deal with Hidan and Kakuzu.

Ryu and Karin were able to finishes their date and both went back to their homes.

The next day, Ryu goes back to the training ground were Naruto was still trying to cut the water fall. He had already made progress in his training.

"That it. Keep you keep it up you will be done by tomorrow."

As they were in the middle of their training, Ryu was called by the Hokage.

Soon, he arrived at the Hokage's office.

"I'm coming in"

"Ah Ryu we were just talking about you!" Tsunade said.

There were three more people including Shizuine. Ryu saw two men wearing something that looked like a lab coat.

Noticing that Ryu was staring at the two men Tsunade decided to introduce them.

"This is Tsumugi Kon, he is here to request for delivery." She said "I want you to be the one to take it"

"Ohh! What is so important that you will need to send me out?" Ryu was intrigued

Tsunade rarely ask Ryu to go on a personal mission if it wasn't urgent or dangerous.

"I will explain that to you" Kon says

It turns out they were from the Tsumugi Clan, who live on a small remote island off the coast of the land of Fire. They don't have any chakra users were they came from.

They were one of the top leading in technology development in the world. Most of the technology that is used around Konoha that doesn't look like it fit in the same Era came from the Tsumugi.

It turns out that a few decades ago, the Tsumugi clan was exploring an ancient site that their ancestor had found which was fill with some type of technology. Thanks to the ruin they were able to develop in term of technology.

As they explored deeper into the ruin, they had discovered a device called 'Chakra Eater'. This device had the ability to devour chakra around it and turn it into a different type power.

The Tsumugi clan though that the device was something that could be researched on and they were right. Thanks to it they were able to make batteries that are used to power the 'Chakra transmission Communication Device'.

It was considered a very successful and a lot of people were happy, but not everybody was satisfied. Some part of the clan wanted to weaponize the 'Chakra Eater'.

They wanted to use it for their own benefit. Of course not everybody agrees with them. this cause a civil war within the clan.

After the battle was over the part that wanted to weaponize it, lost. Determining that it was too dangerous, the clan leader at that time decided to seal it away.

Then a few weeks back, there was an attack on the Tsumugi clan. Someone of the name Kira had stolen information on the location of where the 'Chakra Eater' was.

It turns out he was a descendant of one of the war faction clan member who had escaped. They had stayed hidden and developed weapons that don't require chakra.

Same as before they were planning to use the 'Chakra Eater' to start a War. Luckily before they could get their hand on it, the people protecting it were able to move it away.

They were to take it to another location where it will be sealed again. But there were ambushed on the way. Only Kon and a small number of his guard were able to escape from the attack.

"So now you want me to deliver the 'Chakra Eater' for you"

"Yes, not only are we not strong enough to fight them off. It will take too long for us to reach our destination"

"That where you come in"Tsunade says "form what we know they have a way to track the 'Chakra Eater' meaning they will come for it soon enough"

"We can't let them get their hands on it or it will mean absolute chaos"

Ryu raises his eyebrows at Kon Sure 'Chakra Eater' was something to worry about. But the level of threat was nowhere near that of a tailed beast or something like that.

"But can't we just seal it here?" Ryu Said "I sure that I can do something about it"

Ryu was very confident in his 'Sealing Jutsu'. He was sure that he could seal it up without going through all that stress.

Also he was training Naruto and is on the watch for the Akatsuki, as he wants to save Asuma. So he wasn't really on broad with leaving now.

"You think so?" Tsunade had a knowing smile "why don't you try!"

The 'Chakra Eater' was placed in front of Ryu. It was inside a transparent box. "the box is the only thing sealing the 'Chakra Eater' and it is temporary. After a few days it won't be able to seal it"

Ryu studied the box, but wasn't able to figure out what is made of. "can I open it"

"Sure"

The box had a simple looking lock, all open had to do was press a button.

As soon as he opened the box Ryu felt his chakra been drained at a rapid speed. Ryu reacted quickly and closed the box.

Ryu was a bit embarrassed looking at Tsunade who had a smug smile Ryu said "I don't think I can seal it."

"What!!... the great Uchiha Ryu can't do something" she said in an exaggerated tone.

"What!? I'm still human!!" Ryu rolls his eyes at Tsunade's smug act.

The 'Chakra Eater' was capable of absorbing chakra around it. This will make it next to impossible to draw seals around it.

"Alright it seems sealing it is out of the window" Ryu comments "how about we destroy it or drop it in the ocean or something"

"It would have been easy if we could" Kon answers "but because of its ability to absorb Chakra, one can't use any jutsu on it."

"And material use to make it is so strong that physical attack has next to no effect on it"

Ryu couldn't help but look at the 'Chakra Eater' in its box. 'Was there really something like this!?'

He had a lot of doubt as there was nothing of this level of technology when he had watched Naruto. At the same time, Ryu could easily accept thing like this. Because since he started exploring the world he had discover that there was a lot of thing that were not explained in the anime.

Like, there is actually a large population of animal that can use chakra. Also that there other continent apart from the Ninja continent. It was just they aren't as prominent when it comes to military strength.

"Fine, I will take it!" Ryu decides to take the mission.

"I knew I could count on you" Tsunade smile happily.

"I will go get ready now"

Ryu left the office to prepare for his Mission. He sent a clone to inform Naruto that he won't be around for a while and that Kakashi will help him finish his training.
