Chapter 14

~~3rd Person POV~~

"It finally, finished" Tobi said "I know that it's two against one but somethings off about Ichiro" Zetsu said. "Either way, let's just take them. Ichiro's eyes are valuable, and let's used these two" Tobi said as he started to suck the three brothers to his dimension.

He was stop when a kunai was throw at him. "Well I didn't expect you to come!...one of the legendary Sannin... Jiraiya..." Tobi said. Jiraiya was accompanied by a two leaf ninja who was looking intently to the three Uchiha laying on the floor.

"What a bothersome, turn of event... Let's go Zetsu. It's pointless to fight him" Tobi and Zetsu disappeared. When the two Akatsuki was gone. The two unknown ninja approaches the brothers. Two are still alive.

The two look at Ichiro as tears started to fall down in their eyes. Just take a rest now, you deserves it. You've done enough' they thought.

"Let's go, we can mourn later. We still need to take Sasuke and Itachi back to the village" the man ninja said to the woman ninja who is beside Ichiro." They take the body of Ichiro and Jiraiya summon a toad to hold Sasuke and Itachi.

"We'll send Ichiro's eye later, He already send to Lady Tsunade the other pair...Please take care of them" the ninja said. "Don't worry Tsunade and I will take the rest... Danzo is the only one left from his plan right" the two ninja nod "Tsunade and I will do the talking and explaining but will you show yourself and tell them the other truth"

The man shake his head "No, not yet. I feel like it's not the right time, for now we will continue what's we've been doing, until then..." And they both left.

The two brother slowly open their eyes as they regain their consciousness.

"Sasuke.... Itachi...I'm sorry...This is it for me"

The first thing they remember is their brother last word as he smiled at them. They raised from they're laying position. They grunt as they feel the the patch up wounds that they have.

"Big brother...are we?" "We are in the village's hospital" "but how we end up here" Sasuke ask and the door of their room suddenly open revealing Tsunade and Jiraiya.

"It's good to see you two awake" Tsunade said. "Jiraiya was the one brought you back in the village" and the two of them thank the sannin. Itachi then have a sudden realization. "May I know how do you know where we are, I know that only an Uchiha know that place"

Jiraiya and Tsunade then look at each other. "Looks like Ichiro was right about you. Itachi" The two was shock as they heard the name of their dead brother "Is he..." Sasuke said "You did it, Ichiro is dead" Jiraiya said. Itachi then about to ask when Jiraiya stop him again. "Settle down kid, I bet you two have a lot of question...we'll going to tell you the truth behind your brother action"

The room was under a private seal and Tsunade start the explaining. "Your brother...killed your entire clan to protect the village and his brother. Itachi I think you know the suppression that the village put on your clan"

"I know that, the village became warry about the Uchiha clan when the nine tail attack village because of our sharingan that can control the fox" Tsunade nod.

"Because of that, your clan was plan to commit. Coup d'etat against the village well it was mainly because of the elder of this village the same oppression was also mainly because of the village elders. Back then Lord third power have become over power by their opinion"

Jiraiya continue it "Ichiro was able to notice everything at the very start of the planning of the coup d'etat. He observe it on how it will turn out. Since back then you and him are still just a kid" He look at Itachi.

"During those times. He did everything for the two of you to stay ignorant on what happening behind your own clan. He also notice the unusual action that made by the elders especially Danzo towards the Uchiha. And during his investigation he finds this" Tsunade then hand them a folder. When they open it. Their sharigan activated

"All the shinobi from your clan that was reported either die or missing due to their mission was really been killed by the root an Anbu Organization that Danzo created... Well you can already tell why he did it"

"The sharingan, our eyes... " Itachi said "yes, and nine years ago. Your clan planned to initiate their coup d'etat. And Ichiro think that it was not right to put the whole clan and village into useless argument into a useless bloodshed that is why he reported it to Hokage the same and the elders for the sake that they might find a way to stop the coup d'etat"

"The third hokage said that he is willing to talk things through with your clan and ask Ichiro to give him enough time to delay the coup d'etat" "But that doesn't happen, right?" Sasuke said. "After that Danzo approaches your brother and order him to annihilate your whole clan as the only way to prevent the impending civil war in the village.

He said that when that happen. Not just your clan will suffer but the whole village and that you two will die, you two that doesn't know what's happening"

Itachi and Sasuke widen their eyes. They was so shocked that they can't even said a word. "After that he became a spy in the Akatsuki and ever since he's been giving us and the other village an information about the Akatsuki, well you two saw the information he once send. The hidden leaf was after all was the one who was able to defeat four member of Akatsuki" Tsunade said.

"When I become the Hokage. I was able to know the truth from the letter Lord third left. And it turns out that the whole village heads clan know about this too"

"He did it to protect you two" Jiraiya said.

"But everything will not happened if the village doesn't criticized the Uchiha clan,no matter how I looked at it the village is at fault. Ichiro will not be doing all of it if it's not for the village" Sasuke retorts out of his anger and disbelief "Sasuke enough!, think this through...no matter how you look at this, a coup d'etat is also not the great answer, that's why Ichiro try to prevent it" Itachi said.

Jiraiya and Tsunade then smile. "You two are twin after all" Jiraiya said. "We'll leave you and think about everything we said and decide on what your going to do from now on" Tsunade said as she and Jiraiya left the room.

Then slowly their tears fall down as they realize what they've done. All of their hate banished as their strong admiration for their brother return. Until now they're blind to what their brother is doing. It makes them hate themselves.

'Please... Forgive me Big brother/brother' they thought.

"What now big brother...I feel like I'm such a fool" Sasuke said biting his lips "you're not the only one Sasuke... We both fools for not be able to see through all of his lies. We've became driven by our hatred.... Countless of time I feel like there's more to it than meets the eye but whenever time that he did something or I heard something that he did all my doubt disappear and just became hatred"

"We are his brother, I'm his twin yet... thought that I'm stronger than him but I guess all this time I am the weak one. I understand now why he did all of that...and even spared us. It is not just because he care for us but it also...because it's only befitting that an Uchiha should be the one to kill him" Itachi said.

"I've always look up to him... to the both of you. I did everything to make father proud but the only thing I receive is a cold shoulder but the two of you always look at me in the eyes praising every achievement that I gained"

"Back then when you said that father told you that he was proud of me. I was really happy I'm excited to tell Ichiro... Big brother Ichiro that finally I was praised by father but that night is also when father and mother... the whole clan was killed by the person I also looked up to." Sasuke said

The room was filled with silence...as the only thing heard is the dripping tears coming from them.

As the two brother look at each other, they wipe their tears and faint smile slowly form in their lips.

"I've decided Sasuke...we might be the only Uchiha left but I will not let brother's sacrifice for the village be in vane" Itachi said Sasuke then close his eyes and take a deep breath before looking at Itachi. "I...I'll do whatever I can to protect and continue his will" Sasuke said

And the the two trying their best not to cry once again.
