23 - Evil God's Profound Veins

"Hmph, actually daring to snatch my possession, it's like they're simply asking for a death wish!" Jasmine's eyes emitted a glint of malice, and spoke with hatred: "Only after I had acquired this blood of the Evil God, was I able to find out that the power hidden inside was entirely different from my expectations. Even if not, you wouldn't stay as a good for nothing anymore!"

As she spoke, her eyes suddenly flashed and brightened, as she lowered her luminous snow-white wrist. Her delicate fingertips suddenly stimulated the blood of the "Evil God" to float adrift and pierce into Itachi's chest. As soon as his chest was pierced the blood of the Evil god instantly fused with him.

The moment they fused with Itachi, tens of bloodstain-like crimson lines wildly fanned throughout his body, originating from the blood print in his chest. The lines spread across his whole body in an instant. His chest, hands, legs, face, ears, and even pupils were now full of blood colored channels that looked like demonic markings.

'These... are where my profound veins are located... they are being replaced!' Itachi thought as he held in the pain. His entire body felt like they were being stabbed by and endless amount of swords.

'I must disconnect my chakra coils from my profound veins quickly' Itachi thought as he grit his teeth. He had to do so because his chakra coils were practically the same as profound veins, and considering how his were slowly being devoured and since they were connected, his chakra coils in turn would also vanish. As it wouldn't grant him an Evil God's chakra coil, there was no such thing, but instead take away his ability to use chakra forever.

Quickly his hand flashed green as dozens of silver needles appeared. He ignoring the pain as he used the last of his fading profound energyto quickly help speed up the process. A second later after dozens of needles stuck to his body and his chakra coils disconnected from his fading profound veins did he calm down.

Soon Itachi felt his cultivation begin to drop.

Soon Itachi became numb to the pain as he slowed down his breathing. His face no longer contorted but serene and calm despite the unimaginable pain he was feeling.

As the girl forced the Evil God's blood into Itachi's body, her lips curled up, and revealed a very…. gleeful smile at his agony.

Recalling the memories she obtained from this drop of indestructible blood, she knew it would start to forcefully devour the original Profound Vein the moment it entered the body…. And while devouring the Profound Veins, the process would be as if one's profound vein was being cut off.. minced… cut off… minced over and over again….. This was undoubtedly an inhumane torture, an ultimate kind of pain that would even make the world's strongest beings roll on the floor and shriek.

She still bore a grudge because of being trapped in an illusion. His four limbs trembled, his whole body spasmed, and his facial features were more so bunched up together in contortion. Then it all stopped as his face soon became relaxed and calm. Other than the fact that beads of sweat rapidly slid down his face she would think he was relaxing! In fact he didn't even utter a sound since the beginning.

'What did he do? Did he turn off his pain senses? Why is he so calm?' The girl questioned inwardly but little did she know Itachi was in fact suffering unbelievable pain, it was just that he didn't show it.

Soon after 15 minutes the markings all over Itachi's body suddenly started to fade. The Profound Vein's devourment had finished. What had followed, was the construction of the new set of Profound Veins.

Itachi soon felt that where his profound veins use to be, a new set started to grow. The growth speed was extremely fast; over ten times faster than the speed of devourment. The hollowed feeling from just before was quickly replaced by a new feeling of fullness, and the pain he had experienced also dissipated like the ocean's tide.

Soon after 2 minutes his new profound veins were completely developed. He found out that he only had a total of eleven profound entrances opened, though he wasn't worried since he could open them any time.

"How does the reborn Profound Vein feel?" the girl narrowed her eyes that glinted like a star…. During this period of time, she had thoroughly observed him for a while now. He was only three years older than her, and should still be considered a half grown child. Other than his pretty good looks, he had nothing else worthy of note…. But how could he possess such a horrifying willpower? Had he actually experienced hell before?

"It indeed succeeded" Itachi said

"How many profound entrances opened?" She asked

"Eleven" Itachi answered.

Her eyes flashed with a glimpse of disappointment. Though the red haired girl just looked at him without saying a word for a long time. "The Sky Poison Pearl unexpectedly had this kind of ability!"

"...Indeed" Itachi said as he didn't want to explain what he did. "Now what is next?"

The girl looked at him and said "Carefully examine your current profound veins once more."

Doing as was told Itachi inspected his profound veins and felt that in his core position of his profound veins seven imprints similar to profound entrances appeared. "This is?" Itachi said as he gazed towards the girl.

"Those are used to activate the seven realms of Evil God Arts… The Seven Gates!" She said

"Seven Gates... is it used to multiply ones power?" Itachi asked. After all, it sounded familiar to the 8 inner gates.

"You! How did you guess it?!" She asked shocked. "Anyway although the Evil god's profound veins aren't any different from any other, it carries the Evil God's exclusive profound art. The Evil God Art! This profound art has in total, seven big gates; it does not need to be cultivated or anything, but rather just exists within your profound veins. Every time the Evil God Arts have increased by a realm, one of the gates will open… No! It should be said in reverse; every time you opened a gate, the Evil God Arts will be increase by a realm! At the same time, in every realm of the Evil God Arts, there will be a corresponding formidable Evil God's Profound Skill! Do you understand if I say it this way?

The girl paused for a moment before answering "Jasmine... and what of yours"

"Very well then" She said as she went back to the Sky Poison Pearl.

Since she already left Itachi went to a cross-legged position and do what he originally intended and cultivate. He was now a person without cultivation, not even the 1st of Elementary Profound. After re-connecting his chakra coiles to his newly made profound veins he quickly circulated his chakra but at the same time he also absorbed the profound energy in around him with his newly formed profound veins.

Soon he broke through the first stage of elementary profound realm but at the same time noticed that it took more chakra than with his old veins. Although he figured it was due to his old one being faulty. He soon broke through the second stage and didn't show any signs of stopping.

It was the dragon blood pellets he got from Xiao Moshan's spatial ring. Quickly putting one in his mouth it, the pellet dissolved into profound energy and entered his body.

Soon after eating just one pellet boosted his cultivation and he felt that he was already reaching the level of the tenth stage.

10th Stage Of Elementary Profound Realm!

'Not yet' Itachi thought as he ingested another dragon blood pellet. Soon it boosted him enough to get past the barrier and broke through to the 1st of Nascent Profound Realm! Finally his cultivation stopped at the 2nd stage of Nascent Profound Realm.
