11 There's Bishojo too?!

|| What is a Bishoujo game? ||

|| It is a dating sim and a type of Japanese video game centered on interactions with attractive girls. ||

I did not set an alarm but my clock rang nonetheless.

The kring sound is like a high-pitched drill in my ears.

My sleeping cells were shook by it.

It felt like vibrations to my body that is shaking me awake.

I groan and I grope for that ringing clock at my bedside table.

I couldn't find it. My bedside table only has a wet and sticky top.

The alarm continued to sing and not stopping to catch for breath.

It annoyed me to the point that I threw my blanket aside to find that bloody clock.

To my dismay I see Kate holding the clock on her hand.

A mischievous grin plastered across her face.

It's the kind of grin I avoided as much as possible when we're at school.

Because it means something that amuses her awaits me.

"Good morning, Mr. Carson." she greets.

"W- Why are you also acting so formal with me?"

"Because this is Humphrey's job. But he went out to buy groceries so early." she explains.

I try to reach for the clock on her hand but she backs away with it.

"At least turn that darn thing off! It hurts my ears!" I say, irritated.

"Not until you get out of bed."

I groan in frustration. I want to sleep in some more.

I'm the boss. I'm supposed to be the one in-charge.

But they are not listening to me. It's like I'm just an heir who isn't boss yet.

When I slap my hand to my face to do a facepalm, I realize that my hand smelled of fried bacon.

Then I peek at my bedside table to see a wonderfully cooked breakfast.

Pancakes, butter, syrup and toasted bread dipped in egg.

"Breakfast?" That is a delicious looking breakfast. "For me?"

"Yes it's for you."

On second thought. Maybe they really do care about me.

To some extend at least.

She turns the clock off and it disappears from her hand.

I would be itching to steal that item from her and destroy it.

"Before you eat you should take a bath." she tells me strictly.

"But the food is right here!"

"Bath!"

"Okay okay!"

As I run to the bathroom, I couldn't help but notice a new pop-up that appeared before me.

Another red icon.

There is this constant itch to open it when I see that little red dot.

But I first head to the bathroom and lock it before I access my Panel.

< Good morning, Nicholas. >

Artemis greets me, and I was startled.

"Don't scare me like that."

< Your Panel has been upgraded by the System while you are asleep. >

Oh so like a game. There are updates going on.

"Right, so now I get a supply gift for the maintenance?" I try to joke.

< Yes exactly that. >

She just ruined my joke.

I see now a [[MAIL]] Tab and a [[RELATIONSHIP]] Tab available in my Panel.

"What is this?"

< After you died, most of your Tabs are disintegrated by the System. >

"Why? I mean I was revived."

< You were revived approximately 12 hours after your death. >

12 hours?! That long?! But didn't Kate mention that she arrived just in time to save me?

What am I missing? Does time run differently here?

< Every time a player dies, their Panel slowly disintegrates into tiny particles that becomes one with the System. >

That makes sense why some Tabs weren't there before but now they're here.

Even if my HP and Mana have recovered fully, the rest of my Tabs aren't fully here yet.

What an amazing and generous gift. I'm surprised that this is very, very close to a real game.

But at the same time it has been turned into reality.

"Does this mean I have like unlimited Wi-Fi in my brain? How was all this downloaded or sent to me?"

I am surprised to see another long list of women that I am acquainted with.

No wonder the Mail earlier... it apologized to me about losing my investment.

What does that mean? I invested in them? In what way? What kind of acquaintance did I even have with them?

The only names I'm familiar in this list is Kate and Jensen.
