14 Nervous

A black-haired boy with a pale face keep clutching his stomach as he walked down the sidewalk. From the Crelidia High School uniform he was wearing, it was confirmed that he was a student. Right now, he's on his way to the school mentioned earlier.

"Uh... Ah..." Strange voices came out from his mouth. "I finally have a girlfriend. It was nice but I felt so nervous to meet her in school," Ilia whispered to no one. His sky-blue eyes that looking ahead couldn't focus.

Yes, that boy's name is Ilia. An ordinary student with a unique setting. The boy was born into this world with memories of his past life. But of course, we're not going to talk about that right now.

We'll talk about the main reasons why he is nervous.

In a brief explanation and as he said earlier, he was nervous to see his girlfriend and… to confront the other matters that will come to him.

In a lengthy explanation, let's start by discussing Jeanne.

Jeanne is a special girl. She is the school's number one belle, she is gorgeous, brilliant, and wealthy considering that she is the sole heir of O'Dea Central Hospital.

She's perfect and beyond reaches.

In his life, Ilia never dreamed... Well… sometimes, he dreamed of dating Jeanne and in fact, he once had an adult-themed dream with the girl as Heroine.

"I was fine in that dream but ugh! I'm nervous, more than normal nervous. Now panic and shy syndrome greets me because I remember that ero dream."

Ilia shook her head to put out the hot memories and the flames that redden his cheeks. He needs to calm down and gather his guts! His life will not be fine if he didn't do anything and remained to be a loser.

Leaving his dreams and miserable act, he focuses on shadow practicing the interaction with her plans he made last night. He should be ready for a wealthy beautiful girl that was too much fortune for him.

As Jeanne's boyfriend, he didn't know how to deal with her. He knew ignoring her after they become lovers was a mistake and a disrespectful manner towards her. He'd love to approach the girl, talk to her, and spend time with her but...

Before all that, Ilia must ascertain whether Jeanne does accept him as a boyfriend. In addition to Jeanne's identity and background, this matter is one of the reasons why he feels nervous. And stupidly, he didn't text her to confirm this matter.

Another cause of his nervousness was, he have to approach Jeanne as she gathered with her elite friends. She was never alone. So, approaching her was kind of a reckless move that will earn him insults from her friends.

And if he asks about their new relationship and she didn't remember it, he will die in shame. He does not literary die but after he does the act, there will be an unstoppable horrible teasing from other students that waiting for him.

Then, the last and biggest cause that make him nervous was Roman. A boy he knows as Jeanne's current boyfriend. From his experience looking at the relationship between other students - or more precisely seeing Roy have to combat the ex-boyfriend of his new girlfriend - he is sure to get into trouble with Roman.

Of course, he knows awfully well, his status as Jeanne's boyfriend will spell so many problems… for him, not for her. He believed he could deal with youths from the middle-class citizen but for the upper-class citizen, just thinking about how to talk normally with them already made his head and stomach hurt.

"I didn't expect that handling issues after dating someone would have huge pressure, more than the one I got when I work on my first mission as a terrorist."

He considers a student's problem to be equal to the terrorism act! He has strange thoughts but well… those unclear problems will come to him whether he wants it or not.

Although he was nervous and had a desire to run away, he still goes to a school filled with soon-coming hell trials. A longing to see, chat, and not want to disappoint his girlfriend becomes the motivation that keeps him moving forward.

After dozens of steps, he along with the other students arrived at the school gates. He did something out of his habits, he stood at the school gate to take a deep breath and look at that, now scary school building.

He was preparing himself to be tough.

Bam!

"Hey!" Said Roy who had just hit his back. "Why stand in here? Not your usual things and it weird me out."

Ilia glanced at Roy then turned his head to look at the distance. He made a serious expression then said, "I'm preparing myself, winter is coming."

"Huh? What are you saying? It's still summer, winter is still far away. Anyway, let's come in, I haven't done my homework, and Ilia-"

"No," Ilia cut off Roy's words. Then, he starts walking. "I won't let you copy my homework."

"Come on, are you still angry?" Roy chased Ilia and walked beside him. "Two weeks have passed since I sent that video to you. Your anger should have gone."

"It's something that can't be easily forgotten."

Roy nodded. "Runa has a sexy body, I understand that you can't forget it so easily."

"That's not the problem!" Ilia snapped.

They continued to chat as they stopped by the locker then walk to their class. Some students greeted them as they trace the corridor. Of course, they gave them replies. Few other students later...

"Look at that," said Roy, who then pointed in a direction using his chin.

Ilia moved his head to find Jeanne.

Her long, silky, black hair glimmered radiantly in the morning sunlight. Flawless white skin, pink lips, shapely nose, and long eyelashes almost made her seem doll-like in appearance. Ilia finds himself mesmerized, but now wasn't the time for absent-minded gawking.

Ilia wants to say hi and talk to her but… he can't afford to do it. The other two wealthy girls circling Jeanne were the cause. The girls were quite famous for their hate for middle to lower-class students. He didn't want their delicious insults as breakfast so he walk into the classroom without saying anything to Jeanne.

"Beautiful as always, don't you agree?" Roy asked, Ilia nodded.

Without you saying anything more, he left Roy to approach his chair. He puts his stuff on his table and then reads a novel to spend time until the first class begins.

Finally, the bell rings, the math teacher comes, and the class proceeds. The time is moving, two classes are over. The bell rang again to tell the students, the lunch break arrived.

Ilia had the desire to invite Jeanne to lunch but... he didn't have the guts to ask her. He didn't even greet her according to his plan and right now, he didn't do anything. The loser was silent and his desire was buried deep in his heart.

I can't keep being pathetic like this, thought Ilia.

So he collects his courage. When he thought it was enough, he moved his head to look at Jeanne. Then, suddenly, the girl also turned her head. Their eyes locked. Seconds later, she smiled at him.

Ilia's cheeks heated up and immediately, he turned his face away. His body lost its strength to move, his hard-earned courage scattered. Like a newborn deer, he trembled in his chair.

Stammering, he moved his eyes to peek at Jeanne. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw that the girl had turned her face away from him, talking with her friends.

To calm his chaotic mind, Ilia takes out his novel and starts reading it.

Moments later… I was so pathetic, thought Ilia as he hung his head. His faint existed courage was gone. He can't help but sit there without doing anything. He didn't even read his novel.

Kreet!

A weird sound caught his attention. He raises his head to look ahead, to the place where the sound came from.

His mouth was wide open when he found out the sound maker was, "J- Jeanne?"

"Yes, and the only one," she replied as she sit at his table.

The boy gulped. Then he gathered again his already scattered courage to say, "good morning," to her with his best smile.

Jeanne raised one of her eyebrows.
