1 Ch:1 Two fake people

Year: 2004

Alyssa stood in front of the huge door as she clenched her tiny fists tightly. She was confused and didn't know what to do because they had been waiting for 20 minutes already and her feet were hurting at this point. She was annoyed but still, she didn't say anything.

She wore a pink dress that she hated the most because of how uncomfortable she was in that. Her hair was tied into a ponytail and she wore tiny shoes that looked extremely cute for a 5-year-old.

She looked to her side and then looked up because she was really small. She saw that strong cold figure again, her father; that sight made her bite her lips as she stopped herself from getting annoyed.

She had always felt weird and uncomfortable around him cause he never looked at her with a smile or even a soft look. He would scold her over the smallest mistake and would even beat her cause looking at her annoyed him. His one glare was enough to make her cry. She would long for love but he never seemed to understand that.

Charles had always wanted a boy but his wife, Abigail, gave birth to twins, daughter Alyssa and son Ethan. He loved his son the most but couldn't bring himself to love his daughter cause he never wanted her and that just made him feel guilty. He had always been cold towards his daughter and could never show her any affection.

Due to his job as a bodyguard, he couldn't show any affection or kindness towards the daughter that he never liked. His son, Ethan, also treated Alyssa the same way as him and used to annoy her or even hit her cause he also didn't like her at all.

Charles never really realized that she was hurting a lot by his actions. She longed for affection but still, she kept a smile on her face when she looked at him and it just made him more annoyed.

Little did he know, Alyssa always observed him closely and hated the kind of person he was. Charles was crazy about money and wanted to give all his money to his son. It all made Alyssa realize the importance of money from a young age.

She always stayed quiet and could read people well. She knew that Charles felt guilty for not wanting a daughter but he couldn't help but treat her badly. She had a lot of fun watching his reactions and thus always smiled when she looked at him cause she wanted to make him feel guilty whenever he looked at her.

She wasn't as good as she appeared. She had seen a little too much at a young age, gender discrimination cause of how her father treated her and her mother who wasn't even allied to work, she knew about how much money was important for humans and how humans were double-faced.

She stayed quiet most of the time and observed others' weaknesses and always wanted to find their weakness and pick on them to see their weaknesses. She had a lot of fun playing with others.

Charles loved his son the most so he never let him do any work and just spoiled him the most. But now he was forcing Alyssa to work cause he needed more money to spoil his son. And if Alyssa worked he would get a lot of money.

Alyssa was 5 years old but still, she was to be taken to the third mansion of the Anderson family to take care of the illegitimate child of Mr. Albert, Diana.

Alyssa knew what was happening but she had no right to refuse to cause her father had already beaten her to say yes to the offer and not create any problems there.

She didn't mind it though, she wanted to go there cause then she'd be able to meet more people and she would also be able to get out from the suffocation environment of her family which she hated.

They both were now in Anderson Mansion, standing outside Madam Clare's office.

Anderson family, better off known as the royal family of A city. They had been ruling the city for the past several decades. They controlled most of the trades and other finances for the city and had good connections with other cities as well.

In that country, City A was the most populated and biggest city. So the Anderson family had a great impact on the whole country and they were well respected.

The current head of the family was Albert Anderson and people referred to him as their King. Madam Clare was his wife and she took care of all the family affairs. She was known to be a kind woman and was loved by everyone.

But there were several secrets hidden in the mansion and in the people who lived there and Alyssa was curious to know about them.

They were now at the main mansion as Charles wanted to meet the Madam before taking Alyssa to the third mansion. They were now standing in front of the Madam's office as Charles waited to be called inside.

Alyssa was standing by his side pretending to be terrified and scared to get some reaction out of Charles. She wanted him to comfort her or at least hold her hand cause she wanted him to feel guilty for how he had treated her.

There were numerous bodyguards in that mansion who had the same cold faces and dark auras as her father and that annoyed her even more. She wanted to know more about the mansion and discover more things about the people who lived there.

Her father was also a bodyguard and was the one who the Madam trusted the most and that was also why he was at work most of the time. She didn't like his work and how crazy he was about money. She also didn't like the fact that he always talked about the people from the mansion and she hated all of them because of that.

The huge door opened after some time and a cunning smile formed on Alyssa's face as she was curious to know what would happen next and what new things she would find about the Madam. The assistant told them to go in as she was done talking to her.

When the assistant left, Charles glared at her as he told her not to hide behind him cause he didn't like her clinging to her. Alyssa made a sad face in front of him while in reality, she was really excited to play with him.

She looked at him with a frown and then smiled to make him think that she was forcing a smile for him; as if she was acting to be perfect in front of him. He felt frustrated as he saw her smile.

He just wanted to get rid of her cause she seemed to always be smiling no matter how badly he treated her. He always felt guilty when he looked at her and thus hated her even more. He was taking her to the mansion to work there and didn't want her to come back to their house.

Charles walked in front of her and opened the door. Alyssa was fidgeting with her fingers and wanted to go in quickly but Charles had asked her to follow him and that annoyed her. He left her behind as he entered the room first. She followed him slowly.

That situation usually would be too hard to handle for a 5-year-old but Alyssa was different. She had a lot of hate and anger inside of her which made everyone hate her.

She didn't feel any fear or anxiety cause she had already seen worse, her father's beating, her brother's hate, her uncle trying to molest her, her mother always blaming her for everything. She had already suffered a lot to fear anyone else.

She entered the room and walked in, it was a luxurious room with cupboards that held numerous books, there was a huge window at the end of the room, the floor seemed to be clean as a mirror, and there seemed to be no flaws in that room.

She was impressed and wanted to laugh. She herself liked organized and clean stuff and she had a feeling that the Madam was similar to her. She was getting more and more interesting to meet the Madam.

In the middle of the room, there was a table, and there sat the royal highness, Madam Clare. She sat there looking like the queen that she was. She had put her hair into a bun and had put on a coat with pants and a shirt. She had several files in front of her and seemed to have a lot of work to do but still, she looked elegant as if she knew her way around.

Alyssa admired her cause of how elegant and gentle she looked as she sat there looking through the file. The very next moment, her fair hands that had a few rings on moved as they closed the files and she looked up.

The gentle look disappeared in no time as she stared coldly at Alyssa as if she was looking through her soul, judging her through and through. Alyssa smirked cunningly as she realized that the Madam was a dangerous person cause she could see through anyone and tell what was going on in their mind. They were indeed similar and that made the whole game even more interesting.

Charles glared at Alyssa as he raised his eyebrow. Alyssa bowed to the Madam as she greeted her respectfully. The Madam chuckled as she asked Alyssa to get up.

"You're such a sweet child~" The Madam said in a soft voice but Alyssa laughed in her mind as she could tell that it was all an act. She could tell that the Madam wasn't as good as she appeared and she liked to control everyone whole keeping a smile on her face.

"Madam, you wanted me to find someone to take care of the young mistress. So, I brought my daughter, Alyssa." Charles said in a respectful tone after he bowed to the Madam.

"Oh thank you for the help." The Madam got up and walked closer to them. "You don't have to be worried about her, she'll be in our care now. We'll provide her with everything and she'll work for us from now on." Madam kept a smile on her face as she appeared to be a kind person.

Charles smiled and bowed to her before he left the room. He didn't dare go against the Madam and anyway, what mattered to him was the money that he was going to get.

The door closed as Charles left the room and Alyssa looked at the Madam with a smirk on her face. The Madam was observing her closely as she was standing in front of Alyssa.

"You sure are an interesting child." The Madam chuckled as she was about to sit in her chair again.

"So are you, Madam. You don't have to keep that smile anymore." Alyssa said and the Madam froze. She looked back at her and was surprised.

"What do you mean by that?" The Madam asked and was confused about what she meant as something like that had never happened before.

"You're not as kind as you appear to be. The smile that you have on your face is clearly fake and it seems as if in reality you hate everyone…" Alyssa walked closer to her and looked straight into her eyes with no fear in her eyes.

The Madam smiled cunningly as her eyes were filled with darkness. She was amazed at how intelligent this little girl was and how good she was at observing things.

"And how do you know all that…?" The Madam asked as she squatted down in front of her.

"Because we both are the same…" Alyssa said as she smirked and looked into her eyes with only hate visible in her eyes...
