CHAPTER TWO: YOU THIS WITCH

AT THE MORTAL REALM IN SHADY VALE

"Mom!! Mom!! Verda is at it again", 15 years old Allanon complained to his mother. "Mom I didn't do anything to him Allanon is just being a cry baby", Verda his twin sister said to their mother. "You this psycho his dare you lie to my face", Allanon yelled. Verda sneaked behind him and slap him harshly on his neck. Allanon held his delicate neck from the stinging pain that courses through him. "You this WITCH why did you slap my neck?", Allanon said with tears pooling In His eyes. "That serves you right you dimwit", Verda maliciously. "Verda I told you to stop playing pranks on your brother, when are you going to stop all this bad habit of yours? Why did you always bring shame to this family? You are always the talk of the town,Verda this Verda that , when will you get tired ?", Samantha their mother scolded Verda. Verda kept quiet glaring daggers at Allanon, while Allanon was looking at ghee apologetically. Their mother placed their foods on the table and urged them to eat quick. "Quickly finish you food I am sending the both of you to the market we are running low on groceries", their mother said. "Mom the money you gave to us is not enough for what you ask us to buy", Allanon Said. "Yeah she knew that you won't be needing money because those dumb villagers tends to give you free goods"Verda said sarcastically. The both of

them stepped out of the house into the busy street. Everyone who was passing would always stop to admire the two ethereal beauties that was walking among them. The two siblings are identical twins, Allanonis a shy pretty boy with ocean blue eyes, so deep that if you gaze into them you will see twinkling stars. Long lashes that can captivate anybody and pink rosy lips. He has raven black waist line hairs that cascade down his back touching his waist and fluttering with the wind. He has a lovable character and always put a smile on his face where ever he goes the aura around him makes people feel loved. Verda on the other hand is a complete opposite of her brother. The only thing she has with Allanon Is her physical appearance, the only way to tell them apart is Allanon Is the one who always wear a smiling and gentle expression, while Verda is the one who always wears a menacing and ugly expression on her face with a deep scowl pulsating her fore head. The both ofthem walk toward a flower shop, Allanon bent down and pick up a snow drop flower and took a sniff. "You should smell this sister it will calm your mind", he said pointing it towards Verda. "Get that trash out of my face right now moron", she said and smashed the flower in her palm. The shop owner smiled upon seeing Allanon and the smile varnished when she saw Verda with the crumpled up flower in her fist. "How may I help you?" she said with a strained smile. "Uhm ma'am I will like a

banquet of roses and two pieces of primroses and chrysanthemum to go please", Allanon said with a polite smile. She arranged his order and hand it over to him, "here is your money", Allanon said giving her the money. "Oh no dear keep the money it's okay", she said. She turned to Verda, "miss you are paying fir that

flower you crushed", she said "you wish, never in a million years will I pay for this

trash that smells like dog poop", Verda snapped and walk away. "I am so sorry, thanks for the flowers anyway but I really need to go after her",Allanon said

"okay dear", she said.Allanon ran after Verda and they both went to different stalls and each person giving Allanon gifts. "Mom we are home", Allanon said once they entered their house. "My darlings are back, oh bring them to the table", their mother said. "Mom, I didn't use any money every just gave it to me as a gift", Allanon told their mother while handing her the money. "What aboutyou Verda? didn't you get any gifts? I am so sure you went out there causing

trouble doing the opposite of what I told you to do", Samantha their mother said. "Mom,she didn't cause any trouble she was with me the whole time", Allanon

defended her. "You shut up okay, just shut up", she snapped. At Allanon. "Why are you so innocent? I am tired of all this, I am tired of living in your shadows,

there is never a time I did something right, I am always wrong", Verda shouted. Allanon gasped "Verda why are you saying this? I never wanted any of this for you", Allanon said tears glistening his eyes. "You never wanted anything good for me,I fucking hate you", Verda exclaimed. "Verda stop saying nonsense!!",

Allanon yelled. "I've always seen the best in you, I've always tried to get close to

you, but anytime I tried you fucking push me away. Remember every time you

always ring it in my ear that you hate me? Remember the time you said you I

wasn't born? But I still try to please you every fucking time", Allanon said in tears. Samantha gasped loudly "how dare you wish for such a thing?", she said and slapped Verda across the face. The whole house fell silent. Verda held her face as a tear slid down her cheeks. "Mom, you slapped me, y... you slapped…m.m...me", she said in a broken whisper. "I HATE YOU ALL, I FUCKING HATE ALL OF YOU", Verda screamed and ran out of the house. "Verda waits come back", Allanon said trying to go after her but was held back by their mother. "Mom let go of me I need to go after her" he said and escaped from her. He ran outside and was greeted by a horrible sight. Dead bodies lying everywhere, monstrous creatures roaming about killing and possessing people. Titans, giant looking creatures everywhere. "Allanon come back inside now", his mother said.

"Mom, I need to look for her", Allanon said "no come back its too dangerous", she said coming towards Allanon. His eyes widen as a three headed beast creep behind his mother. "Mom watch out!! Behind you", he screamed but it was too

late the monster sink its claw deep into her heart and dug it out. Samantha falls

lifelessly to the ground. Allanon felt the world coming to an end, he crawled to

the slumped body of his dead mother. "Mother noooo, mother noooo please

don't go, ohhh noooo, I should have listened to you, I should have never gone to look for her please come back I promise I will stay with you", Allanon screamed loudly.
