Allegra stared out the window as her mom drove her to her boarding, she was trying to have a main character moment but the contact her head was making with the window every few seconds was becoming unbearable and she decided to sit upright and turn on the radio photograph by Ed Sheeran was playing.

Her drive to school was peaceful and it distracted her from the swirls of nervousness and anxiety swirling in her tummy.

''Don't worry sweetie, you'll be fine.'' Her mom told her softly, her mom's words, however plain, helped her relax a little.

''Finally.'' Allegra muttered when they arrived. It was huge and due to being the person she was, Allegra had already researched the layout of the school so that she wouldn't have to ask for help from anyone. Smart move, was what her close friend Carly had said. She kissed her mom goodbye and headed straight to her doom room.

Luckily each student had a choice of whether to have a roommate or not and she chose not to have one. Just the thought of it gave her chills, who knew what type of person they were. They might strangle you in your sleep and no- she wasn't going to let her mind wander into the pit of disadvantages of having a roommate.

She spent her time decorating her room dark academia style, once she was done she took a few steps back and marveled at her work, satisfied that she had done a good job.

Jumping into bed she memorized her timetable just incase it got lost. Since today was a free day, she headed to the library determined to borrow a fantasy book because she wanted to try something new.

The library was even more impressive in real life than it looked on the website she spent days staring at before she got here. She walked in and was impressed by the flight of stairs having books at the side she remembered that they were memoirs.

She went straight to the fantasy section where posters and hand written favorite quotes were proudly stuck on each wall. ''Here.'' A voice said behind her it was a boy her height with brown skin and huge doll like eyes which lit up when he smiled.

''I'm sure you have never read a fantasy book before so start with this.'' It was a novel titled 'The cruel prince'. She had heard a lot about that series and it was one of the most hyped up novels.

''If it's not worth the hype what should I do to you.'' She asked him smiling.

''I'll take you book shopping.'' Allegra was taken aback, this guy really trusted that every soul would like this book.

''Deal.'' Allegra took the book from him and headed for the door after borrowing it.

I'm Gabe, Klaus Gabe.'' he told her once he was finally walking beside her. Allegra rolled her eyes.

''Nice to meet you bond, I'm Allegra by the way.''

''See you around Nicasia.'' he said with a goofy smile. ''That's not my name!'' She shouted at his running figure.

He was such a jerk how could he forget her name seconds after she said it, she knew Allegra and Nicasia weren't names that one would mix up. He was definitely trying to be a jerk.

Upon reaching her room she made a bowl of cereal and watched Netflix until 8pm. She heard a loud bang on her door and she froze, the banging continued and she had no choice but to wake up. The door opened revealing a girl intoxicated with some drugs. Allegra was shaking because one thing was clear since she forgot to lock her door she would have been murdered or raped and if this girl knocked on the wrong door, she would have been raped or killed too.
