8 Chapter 8: Perfect Moment

[3 years had passed in the Present Era]

In the Village of Za'astaroz, Rubick just recently turned three years old this year.

Surprisingly in Lebradour they also have a means of measuring the days and years.

They called this as The Gran'dean Calendar, it's quite odd because they are fixed for 365 days.

If they completed the 365 days that's already counted as one year for them.

After completing a full cycle, they'll start counting from number one again.

Rubick was born on the 44th day and 1115 days had already passed, and today is the 64th day.

Yusoph will be having his mercenary tasks and he already finished preparing everything he needed before leaving their household.

Yusoph already headed beside the door while Mary and Rubick also followed him.

"Okay, Mary, I'll be leaving now since I already have a task to be taken care of, and after we finished this task, I will be directly heading home immediately. Of course, I'll be giving you plenty of precious gifts again." Yusoph said in front of Mary and he winked at her. Meanwhile, Mary who was currently holding the left hand of Rubick immediately starts blushing after understanding the thoughts behind the words that her husband had said.

Rubick really desired in punching his father for his very obvious remarks.

"' Really… this man! My Mama doesn't need your wild seeds and your filthy rotten lump of meat!"' Rubick silently thought while wearing his fake smile in front of his father.

"Always take care of yourself, Mary, especially when it comes to our son, I know that this village has some sort of protection but please be vigilant on what's happening inside the village, okay?" Yusoph gave Mary a very concerned reminder in case of a sudden danger.

"Don't worry Yusoph, I am your wife. You only need to protect us financially and I'll be the one who will take care of everything in our family." Mary responded to the concerned conversation that Yusoph started.

"And you, little devil! Don't be too naughty against your Mama, you got it?" Yusoph harshly said to the poor Rubick.

Rubick raised both his hands towards Yusoph and acted like he wants to hug his father and said "Papa".

Yusoph thought that his son wanted to hug him so badly before he leaves so that's why he moves his head closer to Rubick's little hands.

After successfully moving his head closer to his son, Rubick held his fathers' cheeks gently at first and then he grips his hand and squished his fathers' cheeks, after a very quick moment he undo his grip and quickly slaps his father.

Yusoph was angered by what his son directly did to him, and of course, Mary protected his son from Yusoph with a hint of a very beautiful and graceful laughter that can only be seen on her face.

Yusoph sees Mary's face and he stops on initiating what he was doing, instead, he covered his thick and long lump of meat with both hands that had been revived miraculously by Mary.

Yusoph quickly turned around and immediately said "I'll be leaving now Mary and Rubick, I'll be back very soon.".

Mary already knew the reason for his husbands' actions, she knew that his husband wanted to fully regenerate his Forbidden Seeds so that she can enjoy it like a fountain.

"Goodbye Yusoph! I love you so much! Always take care of yourself my love!" Mary shouted these words at Yusoph.

Yusoph immediately turned his head at his wife and gave her a very sweet and handsome smile.

After a minute, Yusoph's presence vanished due to the shelters that covered his walking path.

Mary gently closed the door and went inside while holding the left hand of Rubick.

After arriving at their bedroom, Mary laid Rubick on their bed and she followed him on laying to the bed so that they can both fell asleep.

Before laying on the bed, Mary emotionally said to Rubick "I already missed your father, Rubick" while a shed of tears can be seen on her pale face.

Rubick saw her mother's tears and it's also the reason why he reached his small hands into his mothers' face and he said "Mama".

Even though Rubick had always been against his father, he couldn't really say that it was because he hated Yusoph.

He only did those things because he was already attached to him and he already accepted him as his father.

In the past three years, they truly treated him as their child even though they didn't know that Rubicks' soul wasn't a baby anymore.

Mary's visible tears also made Rubick feel a very sad emotion, he straightforwardly said to his mother "Mama…Rubick… missed Papa", Rubick intentionally made it sound like that even though he already knew how to talk properly, he intentionally did it because his parents would be horrified if their three-year-old child could talk like an adult.

Mary heard what his son tells her and she immediately stopped her tears from falling and instead kissed the forehead of her child.

Mary went closer to his baby and started singing a lullaby song so that her baby could immediately fall asleep.

Rubick liked his mother's soothing voice while singing a lullaby because it really makes his very soul at complete peace until he finally had fallen asleep without knowing.

Mary knew that his son had already fallen asleep and she also decided to fall asleep.

After three hours, Rubick woke up earlier than his mother, and he decided to get up and get out of their bed.

Rubick roamed around their house and led his way into his fathers' mini bookshelf.

On the mini bookshelf, he found an interesting book that makes his heart palpitate rapidly.

He tried reaching out for the book that he was wishing for, he really wanted to get that specific book so that he can start his very own story in Lebradour.

He tried his best but unfortunately, he was very short and it's because he just recently turned into three years old.

After ten seconds of looking at that specific book, he heard a familiar footstep and he knew that these were the footsteps of his Mama.

He was very scared and started to panic at this very moment and he thought that what if his Mama found out that he intentionally went into his fathers' personal belonging?

Rubick doesn't want to be caught by Mary, so he immediately acted like a three-year-old, he runs in a circle and produces a very cute sound of himself laughing.

Mary finally arrived where Rubick had been running around.

She saw her child who had been running in circle and cutely laughing in which causes him to be stumbled and cry.

Mary saw this for the first time and her heart had been melted by Rubick.

Rubick successfully and apologetically deceived his mother.

He can clearly see his mother in his peripheral vision walking in haste on where he had been stumbled.

"Ow, my poor baby." Mary said directly at his son who already had been facing the floor.

She slapped gently and wiped his son's butt to comfort him. Rubick smiled devilishly inside his head.

Mary helped Rubick in getting up and of course they succeeded.
