18 Chapter 18: Evil God of Bone

"Where's Grandell and Rubia?" Yusoph asked the other two.

"..." Tom's response

"I don't know!" Dea replied to his question.

"Phew, since we already defeated the 'Bone Dragon' I think they're just taking some rest within the forest." Yusoph said to the both of them.

"…" Toms' reply to what Yusoph had said to them.

"Well, I think that's reasonable, Yusoph." Dea's reply.

"Okay! Let's also take some rest right here before continuing our way to the Za'astaroz Village." Is what the only thing that Yusoph can tell them.

The three "Flaming Ember" settled down on the soiled surface just to take some calming breaths and also to relax themselves from their previous fierce battle.

Yusoph decided to lay his whole body down on the ground and he said "What's with that 'Bone Dragon'? This is our very first time experiencing that kind of difficulty".

"…" according to Tom.

"Yeah, even I was quite surprised by its strength!" Dea agreed to what Yusoph had opened up and she added, "Especially that Dragon Breath, I didn't even know if sacrificing myself would be even worth it!".

"I think after I reached the Za'astaroz Village, I will be leaving the "Flaming Ember" Mercenary Group, Tom and Dea." Yusoph said this out of the blue, while a little hint of a gentle smile can be seen on his face.

Both Tom and Dea had quickly turned their heads at Yusoph.

"I will be giving my whole time now on my own Family" he added.

"I think Rubia would surely understand you with that one, Yusoph." is what Dea can only say to Yuosph.

Dea redirected her eyes at the clear cyan-colored sky and a sudden gasping from Tom could be heard!

Both Dea and Yusoph quickly looked at their back where Tom had been taking some rest and they can both see the terrifying condition that Tom had been experiencing.

Tom had been levitating in the air while the random bones in his body had been bent unknowingly.

Tom miraculously shouted "RUN!!!!".

Both Dea and Yusoph had been terrified at the words that Tom had shouted at them.

Yusoph followed his instincts and he immediately picks up his staff and other magical items on the ground, the same goes for Dea.

They both hurriedly "RUN" as fast as they could to the Za'astaroz Village which was being led by Yusoph.

After a minute of running, Yusoph and Dea saw a sudden bluish-golden light ray that abruptly descended from the atmosphere into the body of Tom from far away, and it resulted in a shockwave of Divine energy that also pushed Yusoph and Dea strongly until they fell and bumped on the ground.

The two "Flaming Ember" couldn't resist to look at where the light had descended, they can see that Tom had become a bluish-golden elemental that possesses no physical body.

"Yusoph! Dea! Listen to me!" Tom sends telepathy to the two of them.

Both Yusoph and Dea had been stunned at the telepathy but they immediately discarded the obvious shocks on their faces.

"The Goddess of Water had granted me a limited power to hold this unknown being." Tom said to the two "Flaming Ember".

"What being? I didn't see anyone or anything!" Yusoph replied madly at Tom.

"My Goddess told me that it's an Evil God, to be specific it's the Evil God of Bones." Tom said it finally.

"An Evil God?" Yusoph asked Tom while he also started to stand up from the ground and grabbed the left hand of Dea for them to continue to run.

"Yes, an Evil God, My Goddess would not lie about it." Tom's reply to the question that Yusoph had thrown at him.

"The only thing you have to do is to continue heading towards the Za'astaroz Village and evacuate the people there before this Evil God can quickly obliterate them, you got it, right?" Tom commanded Yusoph.

"Please, don't ever look back Yusoph and Dea, even if I may not be alive at that time anymore." He added.

Both Dea and Yusoph's eyes started to shed a number of tears falling down while running.

"Yes, we will never look back, right Dea?" Yusoph agreed with Tom and asked Dea for her approval.

"Yes! I clearly got it, Tom." Dea finally replied.

Dea started to shed her tears heavily because she remembered what she had said earlier before fighting with the 'Bone Dragon', and it's about "Running was never an option for me, I found my true purpose in life when I became part of this Mercenary Group, and it is to protect all of you, even if it cost my life.".

"Okay, that's the only thing that I wanted to hear from the both of you." Tom said this while the tone of his voice can be identified as someone who was quite scared but also happy at the same time.

"Just continue heading towards the Za'astaroz Village, I'll be holding the Evil God as long as I can.

Also, I have a last message for the both of you and that would be "I love you guys, I love "Flaming Ember" Mercenary Group and this would be my last Goodbye." the last thing that Tom said to them until the telepathy had been cut off completely.

Dea and Yusoph's faces finally became messy through their cries from Tom's last goodbye.

Yusoph used a "flight" magic spell on both of them using the mana that he had just recovered, and they continuously traveled towards the Za'astaroz Village.

[In the Forest]

Tom had been battling with the Evil God of Bone.

"Where's Rubia and Grandell?" Tom's thoughts inside his consciousness as a bluish-golden elemental.

"/>E4/>!!" the Evil God of Bone said randomly.

After the Evil God said that, it launched its thousand bone arms at the elemental body of Tom.

The sight of the thousand bone arms launched together was really out of this world, it can be described as a perfect art, but at the same time, it was a very harmful and powerful attack especially when it comes to a God.

Tom had granted a bluish-golden holy barrier in front of him to stop a number of bone arms that had the intention of ending him.
