15 Chapter 15

Friday.

It's been days after that conversation on the classroom of the Section – 0. It's been days after Chess knew the truth behind that class.

'Why are you here?' that was Cale's last words and it kept on repeating inside his head.

He, himself, can't find the answer to that question.

He had kept his record clean. He's also got nice reputation. He even has good grades, so why? Why is he a part of the Pawns?

Pawns. In Cale's words- disposable pieces. They are actually just a group of people who are used to clean the university's dirt. They are just referred as the Section – 0, but they're not students at all. They do receive privileges, but those privileges aren't even enough for all the dirty things that they have to do for the university.

They are a bunch of black sheep that the university had forsaken in order to keep their secrets in place. So why is he there? Is it to pay for the free accommodation? Or is it because of something else?

Chess had his eyes fixed outside the window, drowned into his deep thought.

Angela, who was sitting beside him, had a worried look on her face. She had observed this behavior from Chess for the past few days and it was bothering. She is used to a smiling Chess, so she can't calm down now that Chess is acting differently.

Hans, who decided to tag along with Chess after their first encounter, had fixed his glasses before parting his lips to speak.

"Rival, what are you thinking?" because Chess is his proclaimed rival, he had also observed him for the past few days. He noticed the restlessness on Chess's eyes much earlier, but only decided to ask today.

Chess just tilted his head and smiled in response. Then, he turned his eyes back towards the window and was ready to go back into thinking when he heard their soft conversation.

"What happened to him?" Hans had leaned towards Angela, his eyes darted at Chess.

Angela also leaned and whispered, "I don't know either. Let's just treat him to a meal later. Maybe that'll make him okay."

What he heard made him lift the corners of his lips. He then heaved a heavy sigh before turning to look at them. Angela and Hans stilled like they were caught in the action.

"I'm fine. Don't worry." Then he flashed his bright smile.

That made Angela and Hans smile as well, thinking that Chess had finally come back to his usual self. While Chess was actually just suppressing the urge to think of that topic again.

After a minute of waiting, their new professor had entered inside the room. Their new professor is a woman with a stern look on her face. She had stopped in the middle before crossing her arms below her chest. She looked like a strict teacher, but she is undeniably pretty.

"Today is Friday. Freshmen and sophomores are to join the Section 1 – C, while their section's juniors and seniors are to join our class. Everyone, get ready."

Her instruction ended with that.

Most of the freshmen had weird look on their faces, while the seniors released a heavy sigh. They looked problematic which made the freshmen knot their foreheads.

"Ah! It's that time again!" Angela complained while Hans just fixed his glasses.

He had a smug look on his face as he looked down on Angela and Chess.

"Muwahaha! It's your turn to experience hell!" he had grinned so wide he looked like a villain.

Chess was confused and Angela noticed it. She had sympathetically patted Chess's shoulder while shaking her head.

"You'll know when we get there…"

Every single freshmen and sophomore had stood on their feet. The sophomores guided the freshmen outside the room, wearing those pathetic looks on their faces. They looked like they've been sentenced to death penalty, making the freshmen sweat in both nervousness and excitement.

They are excited to meet other seniors.

They travelled from a building to another, their heads tilting from left to right. The freshmen had enthusiastic looks on their faces, making the sophomores crumple theirs. They had been like that too, but it was definitely a mistake.

At last, they reached the gymnasium.

Inside, there were already several students. All of them had toned muscles and strong auras, completely different from their gloomy and weak presence. The freshmen were amazed by their routines.

Some were stretching, some were sparring with their PE uniforms on and others were running in circles.

Cool… they all thought.

However, the moment those people noticed them, their faces had turned smug and displeased. That very action made our freshmen take back their amazement.

They gulped at the sudden rise of tension.

The students of Section 1 – C had stopped all their activities to look at them. They all felt like preys under predators' watch.

"Well, well… if it isn't the nerds." One student wearing a PE uniform had crossed his arms around his chest.

He had his chin lifted, looking down on our Section B students. The others around had softly chuckled while giving them scrutinizing gazes.

"What are you waiting for? Hurry up and change into your uniforms!" that muscled person had clapped his hands, signaling them to hurry up.

The sophomores stared at them with disdain while the freshmen had lowered their heads in nervousness. It wasn't what they expected… They were excited earlier because they thought that this class would be a new experience, that they would make new friends, but it turns out to be different.

The Section 1 – C seems to dislike them.

"The uniforms are in your lockers! You have 15 minutes to get ready, anyone who comes late will be given a punishment!" it felt like they were in the military.

They hurriedly moved and went to their changing room. Everyone moved so anxiously, most of them bumping against one another. Angela was one of the anxious ones, looking so restless while wearing the PE uniform.

On the other hand, Chess was just normally taking his clothes off. He was so lax that some of the sophomores turned to warn him.

"Hey, if you don't hurry, you'd be punished. They're not kidding on that part." He said before taking his uniform out of the locker.

However, before he could even open the folded clothes, someone from the other locker had suddenly cursed so loudly.

"What is this?!"

Almost all of them turned to look at the same time. Even Chess had lifted his eyes to look at the person, fixing the glasses on his eyes.

"What? What happened?" some had asked while peeking.

The man who cursed had his hands balled into a fist, the veins on his head were almost popping. He's one of the sophomores and he looked so mad.

"Take a look at the uniforms." He said in a low voice.

Everyone turned to look at their uniforms. Chess did the same.

By the time he unfolded the clothes, he stilled.

"Isn't this… the girls' uniform?" someone mumbled near Chess.

He glanced at that person before looking back on the clothes he's holding.

There was no problem in the shirt… However, the shorts were too tight and too short. It's just like the female's uniform. For males like them, it was uncomfortable to wear those kinds of shorts. It was too fit. But if they don't wear it, then what should they wear? They can't wear their school uniforms because it would be more uncomfortable.

What should they do?

"I'm wearing it." One of the males stated. He was one of the sophomores, so he already had experiences in this class.

Ever since his freshmen days, things like this would occasionally happen. Either their PE uniforms or their equipment, something wrong definitely happens. It's clearly intentional. But because they are the Section B or what you call the geeks, they can't face against the Section C who is also known as the Class of Beasts.

They had no choice…

But before he even said that, Chess had already started to put on the uniform.

It was uncomfortable, but it was not impossible. At least the fabric is stretchable, unlike the school uniform. It's better to wear these than to wear those.

After that statement, others had followed. Until almost all of them had already worn the uniform. Most of them were shy, but what can they do? It's helpless.

They took glances at one another but was stopped when they saw Chess.

Their eyes had suddenly faltered at the sight of his back. The shirts are long so it reached halfway down his thighs, almost covering his shorts completely.

They stared at that long and slender legs, slowly running their eyes up to his face.

"Hey, that's cheating…"

"He definitely slays in that outfit."

"Am I the only one who sees him as a girl?"

They knew right from the start that this person is pretty, but not to this extent.

The clothes definitely fit him. He definitely looked like a normal high school girl on her PE uniform. No one would've expected him to be this pretty. Not even Angela.

The moment she saw Chess, she felt like the heavens had discarded her. Why did they not make her this pretty? Why did they have to make a man this pretty? It was all so frustrating that she can't help but to pull her hair.

If that was the reaction of his classmates, then what more of the Section C's?

They were left with hanging mouths as they watched Chess come out of the changing room. But because they have pride and dignity, they were only startled for few seconds.

The man who was the leader had cleared his throat as he averted his gaze. He secretly scratched the back of his neck while thinking, 'It was a bad idea to give them those uniforms.'

It was really a bad idea because all through out the class, everyone had their minds occupied. They all think of the same thing…

'This person's beauty is so distracting. They can't focus on the activities at all…'
