Chapter 4

The next day came and I was so excited to go to school not because I won the elections but because my crush Troy Peterson want to meet me alone just the two of us, the thought of that made my cheeks burn.

'It's been years we attended the same school but we've never talked to each and now he wants to see me?' The thought crossed my mind that this could all be a plan  but I shaked it out of my head.

"Ruth, honey come down for breakfast!!" Mom screamed,

"Be right there Mom!!" I replied before rushing into the bathroom to take a bath.

"Hmm, it smells so nice Mom" I said as I entered the dinning room before giving my Mom a kiss on the cheek. We ate breakfast in peace.

"Ruth, James come I'll drop you off at school" Dad said as we finished eating "Okay dad" I said as I grabbed my backpack and ran to the car. 

The car soon arrived at school, I was excited and scared at the same time. "Bye Dad" I said as I was about to leave "Hey ain't you forgetting something" my Dad said as he starred at me "Umm, no, am not" I said teasing him "Oh, Bye dear have a great day" he said feeling disappointed, then I reached out and kissed his cheek and said "How can I ever forget your kiss dad" he then smiled from ear to ear and I left the car, meanwhile James already left the car a long time ago.

When I reached the school gate, I saw Samantha waiting for me "Hey Sam" I said when I reached her "Hey" Sam replied with a fake smile, I looked at her with my hands crossed over my chest "What's wrong Sammy" I said as I walked towards her "Now is not a good time nor place to talk about it" she said with glassy eyes, I sighed but still respected her decision "Okay, but you owe me an explanation Okay?" She just nodded and smiled.

We walked to the class together before the bell went off. On our way to the class, Sofia and her friends blocked our way "Well if it isn't her highness" she said bowing down before laughing hard along with her friends "Hahaha very funny, what can I say it's hard for a clown to not be funny" I said giving her a bright smile. Sofia stood there angry as I walked passed her.

"Argh, you don't know what is coming for you Ruth, just wait and see" she said angrily to herself. As I entered the class, Samantha said "That was a good one, too bad we left I wanted to see her face" we both laughed together as we walked to our sit. Shortly after the bell rang and the teacher came into the class "Good morning class" Miss Tatiana said as she walked into the class, everyone sat down for the lesson to begin "First of all I want to congratulate Miss Walker on win the election yesterday" she said with a smile on her face "Thank you Ma'am" I said returning her a smile "And secondly, I'd like to introduce our exchange student Mr. Cross" miss Tatiana said as she looked at the door everyone's attention also turned to the door, then a guy came in, he was so damn handsome, he had aqua blue eyes, jet black hair and beautiful lashes he could make any girl and boy fall at his feet well except for me I already have my eyes set on someone else and nothing and nobody can make me look elsewhere.

He walked into the class confidently and stood beside Miss Tatiana "Would you mind introducing yourself to the class Mr. Cross?" Miss Tatiana said and he nodded his head before saying "Hi everyone, I am Gerald Cross from Canada and it's nice to make your acquaintance" a big smile appeared on his face revealing his well structured white teeth.

Everyone smiled back at him with dreamy eyes even Samantha. The teacher also smiled at him before saying "Miss. Walker, would you be so kind to give Mr. Cross hear a tour around the school during your lunch break?"

"No!!" I yelled startling the whole class "Umm, I mean why me, Sofia would be so happy to give Mr. Cross a tour Ma'am" the teacher starred at me for a while before saying "Why? because you're the Class President Miss Walker" Oh yeah I was the class President but I also had to meet Troy during my lunch break.
