12 Mr. Prince

Zeus floated above the crew and watched as Ace spoke with Luffy and the crew before he left. Ace smiled and said "Those books are really good! You should read them very carefully." his eyes flashed with an amusing light when he heard the crackle of lightning, he laughed a bit and gave Luffy a piece of his vivre card and explained the functions. He gave Nami a deep look, startling her, before he left with a wave.

She watched him go, puzzled, it wasn't a 'I like you' look, it was more of an inspection type look. She couldn't figure out why and soon enough she forgot about it.

Zeus looked at Ace's leaving figure angrily, sure enough this guy leaves a mess wherever he goes. He sighed and smiled warmly, after he told Ace about Nami, obviously as his brother he had to see if she was worthy. Judging by the smile and his analysis after traveling with the group for a while Ace subtly approved.

Zeus followed the crew and sighed to himself, it wasn't that he didn't like her. He sort of did, but he would never act on it. Thus a subtle atmosphere formed between the two and now resulted in this strange relationship. He shook his head and remembered his mission here, he watched as Luffy and Vivi fought over what they should be doing, he had to say Luffy was quite domineering. He chuckled to himself and followed them to Rainbase.

After a while

The crew finally reached Rainbase, Zeus smiled wildly. The real show was about to begin! He chuckled to himself and shot forward towards the Casino.

He landed in front of the Casino doors and walked inside, what did he need most right now? Funds for his operation, a grand plan was unfolding in front of Zeus and he needed a ton of money to support it.

He walked inside and sat down at the Blackjack table, he slammed 20 million down and said "Chips." the dealer nodded and exchanged his money for chips. Zeus played at the blackjack table, waiting for the commotion to start. Surprisingly he was pretty proficient at blackjack, well, it was pretty easy when he used observation haki.

He was cheating, but he was cheating righteously! That's what he told himself and very soon he racked up 300 million in chips, the dealer was tapped on the shoulder and a woman in a cowboy hand took her place, Zeus smiled at the woman and kept silent as she dealt.

He looked at his cards and smiled "Hit me." he had a Jack and a King, Robin smiled mysteriously and dealt him another card, Ace! Zeus grinned under his mask and Robin flipped her cards over revealing 20.

Zeus laughed and collected his chips before saying "I don't know if this Miss would like to accompany me to exchange my money?" Robin smiled beautifully and said "Not a problem sir." she signaled the dealer to come back and left with Zeus.

The two were walking together and Robin's smiling expression smoothed out into a line as she said "What's your goal." Zeus smiled and said "Maybe I just appreciate a woman with good looks?" Robin wasn't amused and said coldly "I don't think so."

Zeus just smiled and kept silent, since she didn't want to play, he wouldn't force her. She was needed for his plans but not now, he could work on her in the future. She was a friend not a subordinate, he naturally had a clear view on friends and subordinates. Even if she didn't want to participate in the future he wouldn't force her, after all, when you finally get out of this life, you naturally never want to return.

They came to the exchange booth and Zeus traded his chips for beli. He got 300 million in bills and summoned his cloud from outside, it trickled through the window and he threw the money inside it. He grinned and said "Close your eyes, what i'm about to do isn't very marine like." Robin was confused and Zeus zapped the cashier before hopping into the booth and opening the vault door, he controlled his cloud to sweep up everything in the vault and got out of the booth before waking the cashier up.

He grabbed the cashier and said "Hey! You okay!? There was an electrical problem and you just fainted!" the cashier was groggy and said "Thanks! Sorry about that." Zeus smiled and said "No worries man, just take care of yourself." before walking away with Robin in tow.

They got away from the booth and Robin looked at Zeus strangely "Stealing from a casino? Very bold of you." Zeus waved his hand, sending the cloud away before saying "Naturally I have the means to protect myself." Robin was curious now and said "What are you going to do with it all?"

Zeus patted his chest and said "Naturally buy food! They don't pay very much in the Marines! I need to get money somehow!" Robin was stunned and giggled a bit, she was about to say something when the door to the casino exploded open and Luffy shouted "Crocodile! I'm here to kick your ass!" before running through the casino with Zoro, Usopp, Nami, and Smoker following after him.

Zeus chuckled and followed along at a leisurely pace, Robin followed him until they came to the trapdoor that led to the cage. Zeus smiled and said "Here's where we part beautiful, hope you miss me a little." Robin scoffed and spat "Not even a little bit." Zeus laughed and jumped into the cage, stunning Robin.

Zeus landed in the cage and looked around before saying "Oh! Cool! How's it going guys!" Luffy smiled and said "Not bad you?" before getting punched in the head by Nami.

Smoker growled "Why are you here?" Zeus smiled slightly and said "My captain fell into a cage. Naturally I come to save him no?" Smoker's eyes widened "You came here by yourself?!"

Zeus was confused and said "That's what I said, are you deaf?" Smoker was seething with rage and scolded "You fucking retard! Now we're both trapped here!" Zeus shrugged his shoulders and said "So?" Smoker felt all his veins pop at once as he said "YOU!"

Zeus chuckled and sat down on a bench in between Zoro and Smoker, he took out a cigarette and lit it before smoking leisurely, as if the person in a cage was someone else. His attitude made Nami and Smoker angry and they both punched him at once. Zeus smashed into the wall and Nami and Smoker looked at each other in bewilderment before narrowing their eyes.

Zeus separated them and said "Ladies! Please don't fight over me! I can't bear it!" Zoro chuckled but Nami and Smoker's faces turned purple in rage, suddenly there was a cough and everyone turned to outside the cage. A man with a scar across his face was sitting at a table on a chair, he looked over and said "As entertaining as your little performance is, I have places to be."

Everyone stopped and sat down, Zeus stared at Crocodile with shining eyes and a big grin on his face. This was his target, his plan to control Crocodile would come later but for now he was perfect, he would've liked a little less evil but regardless he was everything Zeus needed.

Zeus smiled and exhaled a mouthful of smoke as he said "Crocodile! I see you're doing well?" Crocodile snorted "Better than you." Luffy jumped up and smashed against the bars of the cell "Crocodile! Come here so I can kick your ass!" but when he touched the bars he slumped to the ground weakly.

Crocodile sneered "These bars are made of Seastone, Idiot! It weakens devil fruit users!" Zeus chuckled and dragged Luffy back before saying "Hey you guys want to hear a story?" everyone looked at him and Zeus smiled as he took a drag of his cigarette before continuing "The star of this story is Crocodile himself!"

Crocodile frowned and Zeus started "There was once a woman who hated being a woman. Her biggest wish was to be a man and stop being looked down on, so she made a deal with a certain individual who could control hormones."

Crocodile's pupils shrank as he shouted "Shut up!" and threw a sand blade at Zeus, who shot lightning at it and continued "After a long time, finally the individual granted the woman her wish. After that, the woman abandoned her name and named herself Crocodile!"

He finished his story and burst out laughing as Crocodile trembled with rage, that was his biggest secret. The crew and Smoker were stunned and looked at Crocodile with weird eyes, it only made him angrier. He took a deep breath and sneered "Whatever, my secret will end with your deaths!"

Smoker frowned "You're going to kill marines as a warlord?" Crocodile sneered and said "And? Who can stop me? Who's going to know? My plans are almost finished anyway, soon I'll be the king and nobody will refute my words again." Smoker frowned and said "What does that mean?"

Crocodile laughed and said "Miss AllSunday! Bring our guest!" Robin appeared at the door way with Vivi in tow, she threw Vivi on the ground in front of Crocodile and stood by the doorframe, her eyes were on Zeus, who winked at her and blew out a heart ring of smoke. Nami frowned and Robin looked away in embarrassment.

Vivi looked at Crocodile angrily and attacked him, Crocodile just stood there and her peacock slashers went right through his body. Crocodile sneered and detained her to the chair as he started to explain his plan in great detail. Zeus already knew so he ignored Crocodile, he had to teach this guy to stop being so talkative in the future, it was really annoying.

Nami looked at Zeus angrily and muttered "I thought you couldn't. If you don't like me you can just say so.." Zeus whispered to Nami "I'm just teasing her. It's fun!" his voice got serious as he whispered "I can see everything that happens on your ship. One day you will know I promise. I'm sorry Nami."

Zeus went back and looked at her apologetically, he knew she liked him, how could he not? Otherwise she wouldn't train and just stay the same but it was still too soon. For his safety as well as theirs he would keep being in the dark and keep his identity a secret. Only truly trusted people would know.

Ace was one of them and Nojiko and the old man in the east blue were exceptions because nobody knew that he had relations with him, not even the government. After all, why would they check for people in the east blue? It just didn't make sense, he was there for at most a month and the only thing he did was clean up the E-4 marine base with Sengoku's permission. The only one who knew that he did something was Smoker and he didn't know what Island he was on, Zeus had covered his tracks deeply.

Kureha was an exception because it was an accident but no one knew that he went to Drum island and he was pretty sure Kureha could take care of herself. After all, he didn't even notice her sneaking up on him when he was about to vaporize those villagers, granted he didn't have his observation haki going but still.

Nami looked at Zeus deeply before turning her head in another direction with a barely noticeable smile on her face. She saw the apologetic look in his eyes and although she didn't know what he was hiding, she assumed it was a very important secret, so she was relatively patient with him.

Zeus let out a breath of relief and smiled slightly, this little vixen really wormed her way into his heart. Maybe it was when she trained by herself after he told her that he was worried about her getting hurt because she wasn't strong enough. He didn't really know when it was, or what it would lead to. He hoped it won't be a bad ending.

He sighed to himself and zeroed in on Crocodile's monologue. He sighed again, this guy was really too much, when is his monologue going to end? He just had a whole thought sequence in his end and this guy was still talking.

Fortunately, with the grace of god, Crocodile finally finished speaking and dropped the key into a chamber full of Bananawani before leaving with a sneer. Zeus let out a breath and said "Finally this fucking guy is finished, I thought he was going to talk me to death!" Crocodile almost fell over when he heard Zeus, Robin covered her mouth and turned her head to the side as her shoulders shook.

Zoro chuckled and the rest of the people in the cage laughed or smiled wryly. They had to admit, this guy was pretty funny. Crocodile turned back angrily but a snail started ringing "PuruPuruPuru"

Robin answered the snail "Yes?" Sanji voice came over "Hello, this is Mr. Prince." Crocodile snatched the snail and said "Who is this?!" Sanji said "Oh I know this voice! You're the big boss right?" Crocodile narrowed his eyes and muttered "You sound familiar.."

Sanji said "Welcome to Crap Cafe, may I take your order?" Crocodile's eyes shone with a vicious light as he snarled "It's you!" Sanji laughed "Congratulations! Who said Crocodiles have small brains? I hear you have my crew, I'm coming to save them- Argh!" a gunshot sounded and a different voice spoke "Boss we got him!"

Crocodile laughed and said "Excellent! You'll be heavily rewarded! Where are you right now?" the voice said "In front of Rainbase Diner!" Crocodile laughed and said "I'll be right there!" and hung up the phone, he turned around and sneered "Enjoy your graves." as he smashed a hole in the wall and left with Robin.

Water and Bananawani flowed in through the hole and attacked the cage and Vivi. Zeus climbed on top of Smoker's shoulder in fear of the water, one touch and he was finished. Smoker was annoyed and was about to throw Zeus to the ground but Zeus held tightly and said "One touch and I'm finished Smokey!" Smoker sighed in annoyance and left Zeus alone.

Zeus was naturally afraid of the water, not of dying but of his identity being exposed. It was nowhere near the time for that yet. All his plans will be ruined! He couldn't afford it. He cursed that love-cook in his heart seven hundred times, can't he hurry up? As if on cue, Sanji burst in and kicked the Bananwani away before trying to kick the door open but it wouldn't budge.

Zeus shouted "The Bananawani! You damn cook!" Sanji glared at him and stood still saying "I don't like your tone." Zeus was enraged and said "YOU!" Sanji chuckled and Vivi said "Sanji-kun.. Please?" Sanji's eyes turned to hearts and he said "Of course! Anyway for you Vivi-chaaaaaaaaaaan!" he swooned over to a Bananawani and said coldly "Oi, reptile. I'm gonna have to kill you for a beauty today."

The Bananawani trembled in fear and Sanji absolutely beta the shit out of all of them until one of them spit out a wax ball. The wax ball split open and Mr. 3 popped out shouting "I'm free!" Zeus looked at the water that was up to Smoker's waist and screamed "You wax fuck if you don't unlock this door right now, I'll turn you to dust!"

Mr. 3 trembled as he looked around and gulped in fear. Sanji kicked him and forced him to make a key but Mr. 3 was trembling so hard that it took a long time, by the time he opened the door the water covered the door completely, coupled with the fact that Sanji's carnage destroyed the walls even more, the place was about to overflow.

Zeus paled as he struck his hands and feet into the wall. He obviously forgot that inside the walls was seastone as well. Zeus touched the seastone and felt weak all over, he lost his grip and fell into the water completely as the rest were already leaving the cage.

Luffy signaled Zoro to go save Smoker and Zeus. Zoro brought Luffy up and dived back down to pick up the marines, Nami jumped in right after him and went to pick Zeus up. Zoro came back with Smoker and Nami dragged Zeus up out of the water. Sanji threw Mr. 3 on a floating table with a note before walking over to the rest of the group.

They were looking down at Zeus and Smoker, Smoker woke up and coughed out water before looking at Zoro and saying "Why did you save me?" Zoro pointed to Luffy and said "Captain's orders." Smoker was silent and looked over at Zeus, Nami was kneeling next to him anxiously, hesitating to removed his mask.

Smoker said "What are you doing?" Nami said nervously "He never takes his mask off, even when he's sleeping. He said it's important to keep it on all the time. I don't.." Smoker scoffed and reached out to grab Zeus' mask when Luffy grabbed his arm and said "Don't. It's important to him." Smoker stopped and said "What are you going to do then?" Sanji lit a cigarette and stomped on Zeus' stomach while taking a drag.

Zeus threw up a mouthful of water and sat up immediately, he shuffled backwards and looked around vigilantly. He saw the crew and Smoker looking at himself and touched his face, he felt his mask and let out a breath of relief. He was really nervous right now, hopefully none of them saw, or else he was fucked.

Nami was stunned, Zeus was always so confident and seemed invincible. Now he was extremely vulnerable and scared? She felt her heart hurt as she watched his eyes dart around anxiously, she really wanted to just hug him, but she couldn't and it made her annoyed.

Smoker sneered "Nobody saw, don't worry about it." Zeus calmed down and nodded before saying "Thanks." Smoker shook his head and pointed to Luffy saying "It was Straw Hat that stopped me." Zeus was surprised and smiled warmly "Thanks!" Luffy grinned and stood up before saying "Anyway, I'm gonna go kick Croc's ass, see ya!" and with that, he ran off.

The crew sighed before running after them, Nami looked back at Zeus and smiled before leaving. Zeus smiled as they left and Smoker said "Have anything to explain?" Zeus looked at him and said "I don't know what your talking about." Smoker grit his teeth and snorted, Zeus covered both of them in electricity and dried their clothes.

Zeus cracked his neck and said "Let's go." before walking through the door and leaving the building. Smoker watched him go before following after him, they got outside and Tashigi fell on her face right in front of them. Zeus looked down at her and spoke "What is it Tashigi."

Tashigi looked up in bewilderment, even Smoker looked at Zeus weirdly. Zeus was annoyed by their looks and grunted, Tashigi trembled and stood up saying "Crocodile is-" Zeus waved "Yeah, yeah, Crocodile is going to take over. We heard it already. Go to Alubarna and provide aid to the Straw Hats."

Tashigi opened her mouth and Zeus said again "Provide aid to the Straw Hats. As well as stop the rebels and royal army from fighting. Assume that there are Baroques Works spies in both camps." Tashigi looked at Smoker, who nodded.

Zeus frowned and said "Go, what are you waiting for? Every second you sit here another civilian dies. Keep out of Crocodile's affairs, you're too weak to interfere." Tashigi clenched her fists and Zeus passed by her and said "See you in Alubarna." he jumped on his cloud and flew over to Alubarna at top speed.

Tashigi watched him go and looked at Smoker, who sighed and said "He almost got his mask taken off. He's pretty pissed about it, don't take it to heart." Tashigi pouted and muttered "He didn't have to be so mean.." Smoker gave her a look and ordered the marines to move out according to Zeus' orders, he knew the seriousness of the situation.

Zeus was flying towards Alubarna, he took a deep breath and stabilized himself. He definitely lost his cool back there, he needed to reclaim it nd get his confident and invincible persona back! With a nice plan in mind he sped up towards his destination.

Hey! Hope you liked it! Ehhh I might finish alabasta tonight or tmrw who knows. Maybe I want a break maybe i dont. Anyway yeah! Nami stuff, so now the story changes slightly, it doesn't effect my plans so it's fine. I'll just have to squish Nami in along with someone else, sigh* I really didn't want to but it's out of my hands now. The characters have taken over. I'm being held hostage! Help! Mmffph!
