Twin Soul

There are many universes. Each universe contained countless realms. Each realm contained several planets. Some planets have different races of humans containing different skin and hair colors, different magical creatures, or different types of Demi-Humans. Some planets specialized in martial arts training while other planets specialized in magic spells casting. In the World of Toria Continents, where all humans have blonde hair. Magic casters and Demi-Humans exist. Only one in every ten thousand people was born with an Elemental Soul, which helped them to be able to learn and cast magic spells. There are Fire, Ice, Thunder, Earth, Wind, Angelic, Demonic, and Conjurer Souls. One in every million people is born with a Twin Soul that allows them to learn Blood Magic and another type of magic of their choice, whether it is Fire, Ice, Thunder, Earth, Wind, Light, Black, or Conjuration Magic. However, the magic casters born with Twin Soul were forced to train Blood Magic if they wanted to level up in other Elemental Magic as well. Blood Magic required human blood for training. Animals' blood, magical creatures' blood, or the blood of Demi-humans can't be used. Toria Continents were once greatly suffered under an evil level 100 Saint-tier magic caster that used Blood and Fire Magics. The evil Saint-tier Blood Mage was defeated after a deadly battle between her and another two thousand Saint-tier magic casters. Over eighteen hundred Saint-tier Mages were lost in this battle but they later found out that they didn't actually defeat that Blood Mage because she somehow revived herself after being killed. The history book was written that evil Saint Blood Mage can create two extra versions of herself. As two versions were killed in the battle, the third version escaped and later revived the other two versions.

Chapter 6 (8/8)

Saw an opportunity to slain his opponent, Helm switched from attacking Adela to attack Jaane by wanting to cast his [Chain Lightning] spell on her. As Helm was about to cast it, Adela casted [Holy Smite] on him. Helm was forced to kneel on the ground while receiving minor holy damages. Right after that, Jaane casted [Stonefist] and a Stonefist created from the ground punched Helm in his face while he was still forced to kneel on the ground by the [Holy Smite]. Helm ended up breaking his neck, nose, and several of his teeth. He then died from those injuries.

Juliana casted [Fireball] three times toward Jaane in an attempt to kill her. But Adela casted her [Circle of Protection] on time to help Jaane block those Fireballs. Jaane casted [Healing Vines] to heal herself from the burned injuries. Juliana didn't give up, she casted [Wall of Flame] to stop Adela and Jaane from continuing moving toward her.

"Do you think that I will just give up because my teammate was killed?" Juliana asked while activating [Mana Infusion] and casted [Fireball]. A giant Fireball was created, it flew toward Adela and Jaane.

Too sudden, Jaane didn't have enough time to cast [Stone Skin] on Adela and herself. Jaane decided to save Adela by casted the [Stone Skin] on her. The giant Fireball broke through Adela's [Circle of Protection] but unable to penetrate through the [Stone Skin]. On the other hand, it broke through Jaane's [Circle of Protection] and burned her to death.

"Juliana Bryman had no mana to continue the battle. Helm Cockcroft and Jaane Almos were killed. The winner for this match is Adela Hindergrass of Mages' Academy of Nosh." The announcer quickly announced while the arena master revived Helm and Jaane using his [Resurrection] spell.

After Jaane was revived, Adela asked her in a wretched tone, “Jaane, why did you save me? You could have survived that Fireball if you cast the [Stone Skin] on yourself.”

“I’m sorry. I just don’t want you to get hurt. At that time, I didn’t think too much about it.”

The reason Adela was not happy was that Jaane would have a better chance of winning if it was her that got into the semi-final. Adela is a Light Mage, she is good at healing but her offense and defense spells are rather weak compared to other Elemental Magics.

“And that will conclude all of the Novice matches for today. Next, we will move on to the Intermediate Mages’ tournament battles. Hah, what a coincidence. Student Intermediate Mages of Nosh will battle with Student Intermediate Mages of Malcus. Let me introduce three Student Intermediate Mages of Nosh that have survived the battle of yesterday. First, we have Sofia Verardi, twenty-two years old, a Light Mage. Second, we have Astra Falck, twenty-one years old, a Black Mage. And last, we have Arthur Castillon, nineteen years old, a Conjurer Mage.”

Sofia, Astra, and Arthur walked into the arena after receiving an introduction from the arena announcer.

“Too bad for Intermediate Student Mages of Malcus because they only have two team members left to fight. They will have to win two matches in a row in order to win this match. If one of their team members lost, then there would be no second match. The two team members of Malcus who survived the battle yesterday are Estrid Ingram, twenty-two years old, a Black Mage. And Jandar Tully, twenty-one years old, a Thunder Mage.”

Astra was assigned to fight first and her opponent was Estrid who was also a Black Mage. Their battle ended in two minutes and forty eight seconds with Astra as the winner. There was no chance for Jandar to show off because they have to secure two wins in a row for victory. Since they have one loss, that was game over for Intermediate Student Mages of Malcus in this tournament.

“Intermediate Student Mages of Nosh have secured their places in the semi-final.” The announcer announced while Astra walked out of the arena together with Sofia and Arthur.

There was no Student Master Mages battle on the round two of the second day in the Student Mages Battle Tournament. Any team that won in round one of the second day has made it into the semi-final because each Mages’ Academy can have only one Student Master Mages team. The survivors of Student Master Mages of Nosh were Kain and Merlara Selorn. Merlara eliminated the last two team members’ Student Master Mages of Crowbay in the last match leaving Kain no chance to show off.

Crowbay is the capital city belonging to the Kingdom of Winharfia. The West of the Kingdom of Winharfia is bordered next to the Bifjorkian Theocracy and Tarlakalian Theocracy.

The next day, round one of the third-day Student Mages Battle Tournament. Two out of Novice Student Mages’ teams of Flumen have made it into the semi-final and Adela was, unfortunately, to fight with one of these teams. Needless to say, Adela was quickly eliminated when she had to face three surviving members of the opposing team by herself. Even so, Professor Biersack was very happy as this is the first time a Novice team, an Intermediate team, and the Master team of Mages’ Academy of Nosh have made it into the semi-final. He didn’t expect them to win the tournament, making it to the semi-final alone is good enough.

Half a day passed. Finally, it was time for Student Intermediate Mages of Nosh to fight. The announcer introduced Sofia, Astra, and Arthur as they walked into the arena.

The announcer announced to the audience about the opposing team, “Their opponents are three survived team members of Mages’ Academy of Sinerin. Carmen Lancaster, nineteen years old, an Ice Mage. Dorian Rein, twenty-two years old, a Black Mage. Tegan Coyle, twenty-one years old, an Earth Mage.”

Carmen was once lost to Arthur. That was why when they saw Arthur was the first to fight, they sent out Dorian Rein to face him. Professor Peckgray of Sinerin shook his head as he knew Dorian wouldn’t be able to defeat Arthur. He was right, Arthur had eliminated Dorian in less than a minute. Dorian was smart enough to surrender right before he was killed. Lucky for him, because he would have died if it was Kain and not Arthur. In the second match, Astra was killed by Carmen. In the third match, Sofia and Tegan had a long battle of eight minutes ended with Sofia was the winner as she still had mana while Tegan’s mana pool was depleted. Two Intermediate Student Mages of Nosh have made it into the final.

Another two hours have passed. Finally, it was time for Student Master Mages to fight. Kain and Merlara walked into the arena after the announcer introduced them to the audience.

“And now let me introduce their opponents. Three surviving team members of Flumen are Kris Embers, twenty-eight years old, a Thunder Mage. Raven Agosto, twenty-nine years old, a Wind Mage. And lastly, Aber Hardy, twenty-five years old, an Ice Mage. All of them have mastered the Master-tier of the magic caster.” The announcer announced in a happy tone because Aber Hardy, the genius of Mages’ Academy of Flumen, was entering into the arena.

“Kain Almos, I know you are very strong. However, I am much stronger.” Aber whispered to himself while looking at Kain from faraway when he walked into the arena.

“Hmm… this is gonna be tough. Merlara, let me go first.” Kain told Merlara when he heard all three members of the opposing team are level 30 Mages.
