Hidden truths

"No, but you always scold me. I don't know why whenever I ask you about Mom, you always say it's not necessary. Why? Here my Mom is then why did you hide it?" Hiro asked, almost breaking into tears.

"There, there. Mom's here now." Fumiko pulled Hiro into her lap while glaring angrily at Hiroto.

"I really need to talk to you, Mr. Hiroto Anzai," Fumiko said angrily. Soon, Akie and Hiro went inside their room, leaving them alone.

"How could you talk to your own son like this? Isn't he yours that you're scolding him? See, that's why he feared you so much," Fumiko said.

"Then what would I have said? Didn't you see my situation? I thought you abandoned him," Hiroto lowered his voice.

"You could have said something different. Like Mom went somewhere and she would be back soon. Can't you talk to a kid like this? Oh yes, I forgot you're the cold-hearted Hiroto Anzai. You can't even deal with a child, but you're managing the bloody Anzai Group like a business tycoon." Fumiko said.

"When are you going to stop taunting me? How long are you going to be like this? Is this what you're going to be like in front of the kids too?" Hiroto said.

"I'm not like you. I wouldn't talk about your stupid conversation in front of the kids. And I don't know how to lie to a child," Fumiko said, trying to leave but stopping again.

"What? Is there something you want to talk to me about?" Hiroto asked.

"Yes, there is something else," Fumiko said in a serious tone.

"What?" Hiroto asked.

"I think it would be better to keep the kid's identity hidden," Fumiko said.

"Kid's identity? I don't understand," Hiroto asked.

"I know you won't understand with that stupid head of yours, but I think it would be better if you introduced yourself as having one son, not two. Otherwise, your enemies will take advantage of this situation," Fumiko explained.

"It might arise more issues. I know both kids need the same attention, but I want Akie to be hidden. As my son, he wouldn't attract much attention, so Hiro's safety is needed. What if someone like me again enters the Anzai Group industry to strike a conversation or conduct an interview? It would be trouble if they saw the kids. They would take advantage of it," Fumiko said.

"Are you saying this is what you thought of before approaching me?" Hiroto smirked.

"I didn't know you had kids. Nor do I want to take advantage of a kid, okay? I'm not like you, crossing my limits just for the sake of an interview," Fumiko said while walking towards the exit. She stopped again and said, "Keep my questions in your mind. Because it's not about your son anymore."

"Woah, was that a tuition I just had? Yes, it feels like a tutor just tutored me for some study," Hiroto said, taking a deep breath as soon as she left.

Soon, Hiroto walked out of the room where he found his assistant waiting outside. Chiyo was also there.

"I'm leaving the kids in your care. Someone will come to fetch both kids and Fumiko soon, so keep that in mind," Hiroto said.

"Did Fumiko agree to this?" Chiyo asked.

"Yes, she did. Even though she still has some questions, she didn't decline what I asked for. If you wish, you can move in with her too. If you can't bear your friend leaving you," Hiroto said.

"Oh please, I'm not a child. Of course, I'm used to being with them, but I have my own house where I live. This isn't the place. And if you can ask me this, then I can tell you that you can't bear to stay away from Fumiko either, considering you offered her a place in your mansion," Chiyo said, smirking.

"Enough of this. I'm leaving," Hiroto said, getting into the car. The driver drove him to the Anzai Group of Industry.

Soon, Chiyo walked inside the house. Akie and Hiro came out of their room, running into Chiyo.

"Now, kids, we have to execute our plan. If this goes on, Mom and Dad will only argue," Chiyo said.

"Yes, yes, we need to bring them together. I saw how angry Mom was. I thought only Dad was angry, but Mom was even more furious, so it scared the heck out of me. I hid inside the room without seeing what they were doing," Hiro said.

"They're not arguing exactly, but they're not on good terms either. So, we need to bring them together to create a happy family. You guys want them together, right?" Chiyo asked.

"Yes, yes, so listen to me," Chiyo said, pulling them both closer and whispering something in their ear that made them smile.

"Is it going to work?" Hiro asked.

"Of course it's going to work," Akie said.

"Don't act like an older brother. I know you're not," Hiro said. While they teased each other again, Fumiko went to the director's room in the office.

"Oh, Fumiko, you're back. I thought something happened. Where is she? What have they done to her?" the director asked frantically.

"I don't know, but they stole my work. How could you let her do something like that? Don't you know I was working as the lead journalist exposing Hiroto Anzai's secret? How could you allow her to take and publish such an outrageous story that made Hiroto Anzai file a defamation case against us? Don't you think before approving anything?" Fumiko said angrily.

"How could I know this wasn't true news?" the director stammered.

"It's not fake? Did you really think a business tycoon like Hiroto Anzai would publicly engage in human trafficking?" Fumiko asked, incredulous.

"How can you be so sure it's not the truth? Do you have any proof, Fumiko?" the director asked.

"I don't have proof now, but I have news that Hiroto Anzai will soon hold a press conference and reveal his secret himself. Then you'll know if I'm telling the truth or not," Fumiko said, leaving the chamber in anger.
