A Tigress Turned Flustered

"Since when am I your real wife, Mr. Hiroto Anzai?"

"Don't forget, I'm only your wife on paper. Once the contract ends, you'll go your own way, and I'll go mine. Even though we might meet for the kids, it will only be about them, nothing else," Fumiko said.

"Why do you always bring up the contract?" Hiroto said calmly.

"Always? Don't forget, Mr. Anzai, that we just established this contract a few hours ago. So there's no question of me 'always' speaking about it when it hasn't even been a full day yet. Get it?"

"Yes, I understand. Now, driver, drive to the mansion." Hiroto said, giving the order to the driver.

"Wait a minute! I still need to get my bike. You can go on ahead. I'll come with my bike," Fumiko said, trying to get out.

Hiroto stopped her. "Someone will pick up the bike. You don't need to worry about that. But for now, you'll need to come with me to the mansion, where you'll be spending the duration of the contract."

"Why are you in such a hurry?" Fumiko asked.

"Because it's necessary. And protecting the mother of my child is necessary," Hiroto said.

"Humph, as if you care," Fumiko muttered while the car drove towards Hiroto's mansion.

"By the way, I don't know anything about you. Do you live with your parents?" Fumiko asked.

"No, I live by myself," Hiroto answered.

"You live alone?" Fumiko gasped.

"You'll see when we get there," Hiroto said, looking forward again. Soon, the car stopped at the mansion.

"Sir, we have reached," the driver announced.

Fumiko got out of the car and began to stare at the size of the mansion. "You sure you live in this huge mansion alone?" she asked.

Hiroto got down, and the butler came towards Fumiko, greeting her formally.

"I know, Madam. I received the news that you'd be coming here and living here from now on. So, let me introduce myself.I'm the Anzai family butler. I've been serving here for the past twenty years. I will be happy to serve you as well," the butler said.

"Ah, hello," Fumiko said awkwardly, making Hiroto chuckle.

"What's funny about this?" Fumiko asked, gritting her teeth.

"Of course it's funny! A while ago, you were threatening me with the contract. And now, seeing you talk so awkwardly, you seem really funny, you know? How a tigress turned into nothing but a flustered cat? It's making me laugh out loud," Hiroto said, unable to control his laughter.

"Youuu! I'll get you back for this, Mr. Hiroto Anzai," Fumiko said angrily before walking inside the mansion.

"Yes, yes, from now on we'll see each other every day. Let's see how you get me back," Hiroto teased again, following her inside.

"Mom!!!" Akie and Hiro came running as soon as they entered the mansion.

"Yes, yes! What's with the two of you? Running around like that? You could fall! Now, you two go to your room. We have something to talk about," Hiroto said, turning to the mansion's nanny.

"Master, what's all this? You have a wife you never mentioned? And the young master has a mom we just found out about?" the nanny said.

"It's something I myself never expected," Hiroto admitted.

"Madam, where were you? How could you let the master take the newborn child from you?" the nanny asked worriedly.

"I never let anyone take my baby. He's the one who took my son from me. Akie and Hiro were born just two minutes apart. When Hiro was born, a nurse took him to the observation room for monitoring. But soon, my labor started again, so the doctors focused on me as a priority. In the meantime, someone took my older son from me. That's why I only had Akie with me and never knew about my elder son's existence," Fumiko explained.

"Master, snatching a newborn child in the name of an heir wasn't right," the nanny said before leaving for the kitchen in anger.

"What are you doing? You just arrived, and you're taking everyone away from me! Do you have some kind of magic power?" Hiroto asked, shocked.

"No, but your nature is what makes people dislike you and like me," Fumiko said, walking towards the stairs but stopping again.

"Which room am I going to stay in?" Fumiko asked.

"You'll be staying in my room," Hiroto said, walking forward.

"Are you crazy?!" Fumiko shouted.

"Shhh!" Hiroto hissed.

"What 'shhh'?" she asked.

"Because everyone will know about this," he said quietly. "Are you so desperate to tell everyone it's just a contract marriage? Is that what you want?"

"No, I'm not! But do you really think I'm going to be in your room with you all the time? Do you think you can handle it yourself or are you just trying to test me?" Fumiko argued.

"I'm not trying to test anything. It's simply a plan to make everyone believe we're together. We're going to live a happily married life from now on. If they find out the truth, it will affect the children too."

"But I don't even want to breathe the same air as you!" Fumiko said angrily.

"I don't want to breathe in your air either. Do you think I'm dying to have you around? Or are you scared you'll fall for me that you're taking so many precautions?" Hiroto said with a smirk.

"Oh please! Have you lost your mind? Me, fall for you? That's not going to happen even after a thousand years, let alone now! And you think I'm taking precautions for that? Ha ha, you're so delusional, Hiroto," Fumiko said, laughing.

"Then what's the problem? Just live comfortably in my room like this for the entire contract period," Hiroto said, entering his room with a smirk.

"This man has lost it! He keeps saying he doesn't want a woman around, and now he's making me stay in the same room with him?" Fumiko flustered. "I have to endure this for the sake of the kids, nothing else," she muttered, entering the room.
