A Misunderstanding Ignited

Fumiko entered Hiroto's room, finding it more understated than she had ever imagined.

"Who would have thought Mr. Hiroto Anzai, known for his business empire, is living in such a simple room?" Fumiko said sarcastically.

"Not everything that appears from the outside is always real, Miss Fumiko!" Hiroto said, loosening his tie.

"Oh, what are you doing? Are you going to undress yourself here, right in front of me, a woman?" Fumiko asked, continuously questioning Hiroto.

"Why? Can't I undress in my own room now? Do you have an issue?" Hiroto asked, pausing in unbuttoning his shirt.

"There's no issue, Mr. Anzai, but the issue is it's no longer just your room. It's my room as well. You said it yourself, we have to share this space for five years. So change your behavior because you're not living here alone anymore. Do you understand?" Fumiko said, placing her files on the table beside the bed.

"You can take your work equipment to the study," Hiroto suggested.

"No, it will stay here. I have a habit of doing everything on the bed. I don't want to sit on a chair and table to find comfort and then forget what I needed to do," Fumiko declined Hiroto's suggestion.

"You are really stubborn, aren't you?" Hiroto remarked.

"Yes, I am. I've been like this since my childhood. I'm not someone who does what others say; I live by my own rules. Got it? So stop trying to lecture me when I'm not going to obey you at all, Hiroto," Fumiko said, dropping her formal tone.

"Did you just talk to me informally?" Hiroto gasped.

"Yes, are you thinking I'm going to talk to you like this for the entire five years? No way! If I respect you, I might forget what respect even means. I'm not going to respect you from now on. You're not my boss, nor are you my mom and dad. I don't even respect my dad at all," Fumiko said, lowering her voice as she spoke the last sentence.

"What? I couldn't hear you," Hiroto asked.

"You don't need to hear this, Hiroto. You're only the father of my kids, remember that. Don't expect anything else from me anymore because you'll never get anything else from me," Fumiko said, picking up a towel from the cupboard and heading to the shower while Hiroto stood there speechless.

"Did something happen with her family?" Hiroto muttered, then quickly dialed a number and his assistant answered.

"Yes sir, what can I do for you?" The assistant responded.

"Get every piece of data related to Fumiko Suzuki from the moment she entered school until now, especially what happened to her in these seven years. I need to know this," Hiroto ordered, and the assistant agreed.

"As you wish, sir," the assistant confirmed before ending the call.

"I need to know what has gotten into her that she hates me so much," Hiroto said. Soon, Fumiko emerged from the shower, water dripping from her hair, glaring angrily at Hiroto.

"Are you still here? Why?" Fumiko asked.

"It's my room. Why can't I be here?" Hiroto answered.

"I know it's your room. You don't need to repeat it every time. But I'm asking why you're here when you know I'm using the bathroom. Are you trying to peek at me, you pervert?" Fumiko said, covering her chest.

"What are you saying? Why would I be here to peek at you?" Hiroto replied.

"Because of what I said. You're a perv. You're here to peek at me because you still have intentions after finding the one you slept with seven years ago. You might still want something from me," Fumiko accused.

"Oh, so you know my intentions," Hiroto smirked.

"So why don't I do something to fulfill your desire to want something from me?" Hiroto said, walking toward Fumiko.

"Why? Why are you stepping back now? Didn't you conclude that I want to do something to you? Then take what I'm doing to you. Of course, I eagerly waited for you for the last seven years. I couldn't forget about the moments we spent together. I couldn't forget how much you were moaning in my arms. I couldn't forget anything. But since you've returned to me, I keep wanting to do something to you once again," Hiroto said with a smirk.

"Youuu!!!! Stop!!!" Fumiko pushed Hiroto away.

"I know you don't have such intentions. Don't try to act smart with me," Fumiko said, walking out of the room, causing Hiroto to burst into laughter.

"I didn't know you were such a cutie, Fumiko."

"I thought you'd surely flinch. I was sure you'd act timid like you did that night, but I didn't know you'd ignore everything," Hiroto said, laughing out loud.

Soon he calmed down, looked at a ribbon he kept in a drawer, opened it, placed it in his palm, and said, "Of course, I might have lied about a few things, but I definitely had the thought of having you in my arms again, holding you tightly. I want to make love to you again and whisper your name in those moments."

"I clearly remember how you were in the lock of my arms. How you were moaning beneath me until Akane brought Hiro to you and said you had abandoned him. Everything shattered into pieces. I lost the love and feelings I had for you. But now that you've returned to my arms and cleared up all the misunderstandings I had about you, I don't think I can let you go anymore, Fumiko Suzuki, or should I say Mrs. Hiroto Fumiko Anzai," Hiroto said, kissing the ribbon he held in his hand before placing it back in the drawer and locking it securely.

"This marriage will not be just a five-year contract; it will be a lifetime commitment I've made for you," Hiroto declared.

Meanwhile, Akie and Hiro stood outside the room, looking at him.

"Is he really my dad?" Hiro said.

"Why? What happened?" Akie asked.

"He never smiles," Hiro said.
