9 CHAPTER 9

(The next day)

-Mikael Pov-

I woke up and went to the bathroom for a shower. I put on my usual clothes, a black T-shirt and black trousers. Then I went to the kitchen to make a cup of tea. I sat down on a chair near the glass window and enjoyed the view.

"Hm?" I noticed that my internal energy was not as it should be. It felt... happy? Then I noticed that the sky corresponded to my internal energy and it looked like it was cheering for something or someone.

Hmm... is it me who is adjusting myself to the world or the other way around?

~ To this day it remains a mystery~

Last night, I had been working on a mental barrier, but not an actual barrier like Bella had. It was just surface thoughts. I have some pills in my storage ring that can block mental assaults. They are used when a cultivator goes through tribulation and to block mental demons, but they only last for about 12 hours. I didn't want to use them because I only had a limited amount.

Anyway, I stood up and prepared to go to school. I coated the guitar with my internal energy just in case something happened. I put on my black coat and plain black shoes, nothing special.

I let my hair loose as it should be, I went to the bike and put the guitar case on my back, and the school bag on the handle. "Alright, here we go buddy, our first day of school," I said to my bike and immediately took off.

(A/N - Well, brace yourself, prepare your cringe barrier or spell, and here we go)

"HAHHH..." It honestly feels good cycling through the country road. Fresh air, breathtaking view, the vibes are just right. Wait... I'm sorry, but I couldn't help myself.

*Smirked*

I couldn't but chuckled and continued humming the song.

"Country Roads-" I was interrupted.

*Wee Woo Wee Woo* *Beep Beep*

I was startled by the sound and almost fell off the bike. I looked behind me and it was a police cruiser, and I think I know who this is. So I pulled over and waited for the officer to come over.

"Name?" the officer asked.

"Mikael Godfrey, but you can call me Kael," I answered while looking at him and it was indeed Charlie Swan. I have some nicknames for him such as Warden Of Forks, The Heimdall Of Forks, and The First Checkpoint Of Transmigator.

"Alright Kael, do you have any idea what you've done wrong?" Charlie asked again.

"No, I don't, sir," I replied.

"Well, you're cycling in the middle of the road and not paying attention to the road," Charlie explained.

"Sorry, sir, I'm just way too excited as this is my first day going to my new school," 

"Alright, I'll let you go this time because I'm in a good mood as today is also my daughter's first day of school," he said.

"Well, thank you so much, Mr..." I pretended to ask his name.

"Charlie Swan," he replied.

"Alright, I gotta go, and welcome to Forks, kid," he said and went on his way. And I continued cycling until I reached the school.

(At School)

"FORKS HIGH SCHOOL - HOME OF THE SPARTANS"

I arrived at the school, and it looked like I was late because the parking lot was only full of cars. So I saw Bella's truck and Cullen's cars, the same as in the movies. I went around the lot for a bit and decided to just park my bike near the sign. I'm not afraid of losing the bike because who in their right mind would steal a silly-looking bike, surely?

'Well... here we go,' I thought before I went up the stairs and entered the school. As I was walking through the hall, I checked my schedule and the map. The first class of the day... Math. I checked the map and quickly went to the class. I arrived in front of the class and knocked on the door three times.

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

"Please come in," a voice could be heard from inside. I opened the door, went inside, and greeted the teacher.

"Good morning, sir," I said, greeting him.

"Oh yeah, Mr. Godfrey, can I get the pass?" he said, and I handed him the pass.

"Thank you, welcome to the class. You can sit beside Mr. Hale there, Mr. Hale, please raise your hand," he said and pointed to an empty seat beside the one and only... Jasper Hale. I thanked the teacher, ignoring the students' curious gazes, and walked up to sit beside Jasper.

"Hey, I'm Mikael Godfrey, but please call me Kael. Nice to meet you," I smiled and extended my hand to introduce myself to him.

He smiled back and returned my hand, "Hey, I'm Jasper Hale, and nice to meet you too."

The class went by pretty fast because I just didn't pay attention, and it was math. Jasper sometimes asked me about myself, such as, are you new here, how long have you been in Forks, and how I like Forks. I answered them all, and before long, the bell rang. And I said goodbye to Jasper before I went to the next class.

The next class is History, nothing special happened here, I just saw one of Bella's 'friends,' and that is Mike.

Mike... Mike... has a similar name as me, should I kill him? I stared at him, and I made him scared, so he asked the teacher to go to the toilet. I chuckled a bit and decided to just let him go as he is nothing but a horny brat.

Currently, I'm ignoring the class again and began thinking about what song I should write from my original world. Hmm... this is Twilight, obviously the vibe is mostly cringe and romantic. Romantic, huh... Right, I've decided to write romantic songs as this is probably the best genre for Twilight. Before I could write anything, the bell rang, and it was time for lunch.

- Jasper POV -

I entered the class and waited for the teacher to begin his class. As he was about to begin, there was suddenly knocking coming from outside the class. The person entered the class and I widened my eyes.

'He is Alice's mate.' I knew it was him because this morning, Alice showed us her paintings of her mate and Edward's mate. She asked us to inform her if one of us met him.

"...Mr. Hale, please raise your hand." I was broken from my thoughts and raised my hand. I saw him walking up to me and we began to introduce ourselves. I asked him questions and he answered.

He seemed pretty chill, easygoing, and calm, just as Alice said in one of her visions. He looked very... lonely. I could feel his calm emotion and loneliness. I could sense from him that nothing in this world could pose a threat to him, maybe it was just his ignorance. And I was sure that he was only human, as I could feel his blood flowing and his heart pumping.

Before I could ask more questions, the bell rang. He said goodbye to me and went to his next class. 'I need to inform the others about this!' I immediately walked out of the class while texting Thea and Alice to meet me at the locker section.

- Alice POV -

Alice could be seen skipping her steps excitedly. We could see her wide smile and giggling across her face. Alice finally reached the locker section and met with Jasper and Thea.

"So... what's his name? Is he handsome? What's his number? How is he?" I bombarded Jasper with questions and he just chuckled with Thea and began to explain what he saw.

He said that my mate's name was Mikael Godfrey, but he liked to be called Kael. He was handsome and looked the same as the one in my paintings. His personality was chill, calm, and easygoing.

But he said that my mate was also feeling lonely, though he didn't show it outwardly. I began to feel sad for him as I made a promise to myself that I would always be there for him. Jasper didn't get his number, which was unfortunate, but he said that I'll have my chance when we go to the cafeteria after this class.

(At the Cafeteria)

- Bella POV -

Bella could be seen sitting with her new 'friends' at one of the tables in the cafeteria. We could also see from her face that she didn't enjoy her current situation at all. But fate always has other plans for her.

"Who are they?" I asked.

"The Cullens," Angela replied while smiling.

"They um... Dr. and Mrs. Cullen's foster kids. They moved down here from Alaska a few years ago," Jessica said.

"They... kinda keep to themselves," Angela said.

"Yeah, because they're all together, like together-together," Jessica said again.

"The blonde girl... that's Rosalie, and the big dark-haired guy is Emmett. They're like a thing. I'm not even sure if that's legal," Jessica began explaining them one by one.

"Jess, they're not related," Angela said to Jessica.

"Yeah, but they live together. It's weird," Jessica said again and continued her explanation. "And... okay, the long light brown-haired one is Thea. I'm pretty sure she is the smartest in the medical class, and she's with Jasper, the blonde one who always looks in pain."

"Okay... the next one is the little dark-haired girl named Alice. She's weird and always seems energetic, so people tend to avoid her. And she's still single," Jessica said.

"Dr. Cullen is like this... foster dad/matchmaker," Jessica said again, followed by Angela, "Maybe he'll adopt me."

"Who's he?" I asked about the last one.

"That's Edward Cullen, totally gorgeous obviously... but nobody here's good enough for him. Like I care, you know..." Jessica replied. "Seriously, like, don't waste your time."

"I wasn't planning on it," I said, but I couldn't seem to take my eyes off him, and he was staring at me as well. But before I could stare any longer, Jessica said something, and we looked at the door again.

"And that's... a new student like you, Bella. He's Mikael Godfrey, and he's from West Virginia. But Mike told me that he's a scary guy, and we should just avoid him and mind our own business. The rumors have already spread, so yeah..." Jessica said while lowering her head, I just glanced at him for a second and turned my attention back to Edward.

-MC Pov-

I put on some surface thoughts, then entered the cafeteria and glanced toward the students. They seemed to be lowering their heads. What's going on... anyway, I just ignored them and went to pick an apple, planning to just leave the cafeteria because I needed some focus to write the songs. But before I could go out, I felt a certain group staring at me.

I looked towards them... The Cullens. But wait.... who is that sitting next to Jasper... She had a pale complexion same as the rest of them, long light brown hair, green eyes, and the same height as Jasper. So my crazy theories are true... things changed, she's here because of me and this is an alternate universe.

(A/N - There are a lot of pictures on Google with this description, so pick whoever you want. I don't mind.)

Then Alice... Suddenly, I locked my eyes with hers. The world... seemed to be frozen, everyone was not moving, no sound, and total silence. But suddenly, there's a warm feeling surging from both of us and the world returns to its normal state. I saw the rest of the Cullens' surprised faces, and I just left the cafeteria with my apple.

'Hmm... so she's the chosen one for me.' I lightly smiled and thanked God for this unexpected gift. Suddenly, I got an idea about what song I wanted to write, so I went to the next class and waited for the teacher while I was writing the song.

-Alice Pov-

I finally saw him! My long-awaited mate! He is so handsome! But I heard Jessica calling my mate scary and why the other students should avoid him. I glared at her and she lowered her head. Anyway, why is he leaving after picking an apple? But before he left, he turned his gaze towards us. He had a confused gaze towards Thea for a second. And suddenly, he looked towards me and our eyes met.

The world around us seemed to freeze, but I didn't pay attention to my surroundings as I was drowned in his glistening crimson eyes. Then I had a vision, me and him... lying down, laughing at each other in a beautiful field full of flowers. After the vision ended, we felt a surging warm feeling and everything went back to normal, and after that, he left the cafeteria.

"...lice... Alice!" Thea brought me back from my thoughts.

"Are you alright?" I could feel my family's concern towards me, but I just smiled. And I saw Edward smiling too, perhaps he reads my mind and sees my vision there. After that, he just stared back at his mate.

"Why don't you go after him?" Emmett asked, and I replied, "No... as long as he knows that I'm here... and I have a feeling that I'll meet him in the next class!" I giggled excitedly.

"We need to report this back to Carlisle and Esme about Alice and Edward's mate. They're humans and we can't risk it!" Rosalie said, and Edward nodded in agreement.

"C'mon, don't be so tense... ha ha ha." Emmett hugged her shoulders, and she just rolled her eyes. We continued our conversations until lunchtime's over and went to our class.
