"You know," every head turned to Ryan who was looking at Leah, "I can't tell if this is the best first date or the worst? Where would you put this on that scale?"

Everyone around them was stunned as they looked at him like he was an idiot for a second, Rosalie even shook her head, "Really Ryan?! You ask that now, when we are surrounded by all of them?" Leah let out a sigh as she looked at him with a helpless expression.

"What?! I mean seriously is there a better time to ask? Because I am sure it would be something lame to ask at the end of the date." He said shrugging.

"I swear, I do not know why I date you, can you not take this seriously?"

"I could, but what fun would that be, smoke?" He offered as he took out a joint and began to smoke seeing as the date was basically over.

This time she sighed but she did smoke when offered to calm her own nerves down, or at least that is what he assumed as he saw her take a huge puff of it before she laid her back on his chest. Ryan meanwhile looked at everyone around them, he saw that they were all just watching them with various expressions, well other then the wolves which were just glaring still in full shift.

"Alright so, who is first?" Ryan asked wanting it out the way.

"Ryan, are you the wolf that fought with us?" Rosalie asked coming right out of the gate asking the question she had been wanting to know.

He knew she would be the first to ask it she was the most comfortable asking him stuff after all, "Yes, I am."

"Then why did you run? Why did you ignore me when I called out to you that time?" Rosalie asked her face concerned as she thought over the possibilities, "Is it because I am a vampire?"

The worry in her voice was obvious to everyone, Leah was calming down a lot as she was just high at this point, everyone else though waited for his reaction, Meredith kept an eye on Sam and Paul as they were still primed to attack. Which made sense as they were both alphas, two couldn't be in the same territory and not fight for the dominate one, which is why him and Jacob never got along.

Sighing Ryan rubbed his forehead, "No, nothing like that. I just didn't want to fight Sam here."

"WHAT SAM!??!" Leah shouted while looking at the giant black wolf that he was pointing at.

"So, you don't mind me being a vampire then?" Rosalie asked hopeful as she looked at him.

He shook his head, "Nope, could care less about it really. Don't really see a point in that, but I'm not really into the whole cold skin thing."

She looked heartbroken but nodded her head, "Oh, okay."

"Anything else?" Ryan asked as he watched Alice go over to comfort her sister who looked as if her whole world was crumbling in on her.

Sam growled at him and he sighed, he might not have been in his wolf form but he could understand what was going on, "What's wrong?" Leah asked noticing his look.

"Sam wants to fight him," Edward answered no doubt hearing his thoughts, "He doesn't believe there should be two Alphas in the land, so he wants to fight Ryan to have him submit or Ryan needs to leave Forks."

"WHAT!!" Leah shouted as she turned to Same glaring hard at him, "He better be joking."

Ryan laughed shaking his head, "It doesn't matter Leah, he won't be fighting me anyway. There is someone else who wants to fight him."

They all looked to Meredith who was growling ready to pounce Sam, it was a funny sight to see French Fries behind her trying to look threatening, the size difference was not helping him. Sam made grunting noises, Ryan chuckled at them, "Please, you don't deserve to fight me if you can't even take down my Beta, I am not hiding behind her."

Paul couldn't control himself as he pounced at Meredith, Ryan smirked never looking away from Sam who was also trying to hold Ryan's stare. It was a alpha thing that they both trusted their Betas, neither would jump in but ultimately it was a test to see who would really be the winner between the two.

(Leah POV)

She watched in awe as Meredith took down who she assumed was Paul, he was the person who spent the most time around Sam after all, so she had to assume that he was his Beta. She saw how Meredith's mouth opened and clamped hard around Paul's neck, who let out a whimper trying to scratch her off of him.

Next thing she knew Paul sent flying in the air, her jaw dropped as she watched it not believing that this was actually happening in front of her, though maybe she is just high. Not that she could really tell herself that because Ryan had changed before she had gotten high, so this was really happening.

It actually wasn't to bad having her world shift like this, at least now she knew about him before everyone else.

She watched as Meredith stood growling at Paul who was pinned under her, it wasn't even a fight to be honest, it was more like Meredith playing with a toy that she kept wanting to throw around. A giggle or two might have escaped as she watched it all happened, she always did hate Paul, the asshole.

+++++++

(Ryan POV)

He knew Meredith had won the moment he heard the whine, Sam's eyes ended up breaking away first too as he knew that his beta had lost, he growled bit could do nothing as Paul was pinned under Meredith, "Just stay to your side Sam. I won't change anything here, and I won't make you work under me.

As long as things stay the same of course." Ryan smirked.

Sam growled his paw digging into the dirt, the tension was high, like a spring he struck though but Ryan didn't move an inch as Meredith tackled him before he could reach him. This fight was a little harder for her though, with their bloodline her as a beta was the same as a normal Alpha.

He watched as Sam tried to gain control of the situation but couldn't, he was able to get in some lucky bites in Meredith, but they weren't enough to actually take her down just leave minor scratches. Finally she stood over him and howled to the sky, everyone around them just watched, no Cullen moved forward as they knew not to interfere in the fight.

"Finally realized it now then? Keep this as a reminder if what will happen if you try something like this again, next time you may lose someone though."

Every eye whipped to Ryan but he stared at Sam, days ago he was scared of the man since he was a hulking wolf that could kill him, now he was just someone who was beneath him. He was smug about it, but at the same time he still knew to stay humble, it was just that Sam didn't know when to stay down.

He didn't want to repeat this either so he knew he needed to get his point across, his heart stayed steady as he let the threat hang in the air, he would kill Sam if needed so this didn't keep happening.

"Ryan..." Leah said grabbing his arm.

Ryan shook his head, "No Leah, this is a pride thing. I am already doing a lot by not killing him now, if this was truly the wild I would. He is lucky I am allowing him to leave at all."

Leah stopped speaking as she heard the seriousness in his voice, though she wasn't really telling him to calm down, she was more thinking about her cousin Emily. If Sam was stupid enough to push Ryan, well they both knew there was nothing that could be done.

"Alright, well we can talk more if you want later, but I need to take Leah home now." Ryan said as he took Leah's hand and ignoring everyone else, he knew it was approaching the time to get her back.

Leah waved at everyone giggling some as her high was back again, she practically skipped next to him as they made their way out of the woods, no one tried to stop him as they walked away. Ryan made sure she was buckled in the car before they took off to her place.

"Would you really kill Sam?" She asked on a whisper.

Ryan kept looking forward but nodded, "I would but he would need to do something extreme for it."

"Just...at least let me know first before it ever gets to that point." She asked while reaching over and grabbing his hand tightly.

He nodded, "I will."

The rest of the ride was silent before they made it to her house, he laughed as he saw Sue pull back the drapes trying to act like she didn't watch them drive up to the house.

"God my mom is so embarrassing." She complained happening to catch her mother.

"I find it cute." Getting out the car he opened her door and then walked her to the front door, "Other then the end, I think this was a good date. Sorry I couldn't take you out to eat."

She shook her head in response, "No it is fine. I really liked it all, we should do it again."

He nodded as the porch went quiet, leaning over he kissed her softly, but she didn't want that as she began to devour his lips, which he had no problem with. Lifting her pushed her back against the wall as he deepened the kiss, their soft moans were the only thing heard at the moment.

"Alright!" Sue announced opening the front door, "Time to call it a night kids, school tomorrow and all that."

Ryan chuckled as he set Leah down, "Well I am glad you had a good time. Goodnight Sue, you all call me if you need me."

Waving he took off, he could hear Sue badgering Leah the moment the door was closed, he couldn't help but laugh all the way home, but that also could be from him being high too, who knows. Reaching his house Ryan parked and paused, sighing he got out and opened the door leading to the kitchen.

Standing there was a beautiful woman, she had long flowing blonde hair with light blue eyes, she honestly didn't look like a middle aged woman but Ryan knew she had just hit forty years old. A smile grew on her face as he walked further into the room, "Ryan!" She said her voice excited.

"...Mother." he replied naturally nodding his head.
