2 Chapter 2)

As the sun peaked over the water Ryan woke up, looking to the side he saw Leah was cuddled against him with a soft smile on her face. Raising a brow he stared out at the water, sighing he knew he didn't need to go home just yet.

See Ryan and his parents weren't from Forks, no they were from New York where his parents were corporate Lawyers, they were on assignment in Seattle at the moment. Ryan only agreed to come once they bought a house in Forks and allowed him to go to the school here.

Mainly because he wanted to be in a small town, after learning what was really happening in this world he was regretful of it but stuck with it.

Because of this though his parents weren't around much, maybe they came in on weekends but since it was Monday morning they wouldn't be here at all. Ryan only needed to go home and change now before heading to school, which from the time that was on his watch he had about twenty minutes to be there for first period.

With him needing to shower and change he wouldn't make it there in time at all, but he shrugged not really caring at all, after all he hardly made it in time for that class as it is. Yawning he reached over and shook Leah awake, who was determined to sleep in from the way she swatted his hand away.

"Leave me alone mom, five more minutes." She said while pouting.

Ryan laughed, "Leah wake up! I need my jacket and need to get to school, also you probably need to get back before they send a hunting party looking for you."

That seemed to break through her sleep riddled mind as her eyes snapped open, looking around she realized they were still on the beach before sighing, "Shit! You're right, I need to get back before my first class. I will see you later.....and thinks for listening Ryan, you are a really good friend."

Ryan waved his hand away as he tried to get all the sand out of his jacket, "Yeah no problem, I was already down here and you are a good friend."

She smiled walking over she gave him a big hug before backing away, "No you really are a good friend Ryan," Sighing she looked towards where her house was, "Let's hope Sam is willing to talk today."

He nodded his head, "Well call if you need anything, I have more weed if you want to smoke and get rid of your problems for awhile."

She smiled brightly as she waved before walking away.

Shaking his head Ryan brought out his keys as he got on his bike a drove away, he didn't need to look out for Leah as he knew she was safe. If she wasn't then someone would have come and gotten her last night, from the little she spoke of last night he knew that Sam had shifted.

So Sam could smell if any nomads or anything were around, since they allowed Leah to be out so late that meant that nothing in the area was a danger to her.

Getting on his bike Ryan made his way back into town, he was driving at a normal pace now seeing as he would get pulled over for anything else. He waved to some of the officers he knew and they waved back, especially the two who bet on him the night before.

As the took a turn he came down a lone rode, it was the path leading to the house his parents bought, what turned out to be a coincidence is that the Cullen's owned the one next door. He didn't know that until he took a good look at it, the house being the same he saw in the movies, though a little more beautiful.

"I'm home." Ryan shouted as he walked in from the garage door that led into the kitchen, smiling as he heard pattering of dog paws coming to him.

Eventually a grey husky ran into the room and right up to him, "Hey girl, who is a good girl, you are, yes you are." He said kneeling down and tussling her fur with a smile.

This was Ryan's dog Meredith, it was the only companion he had at the house with him, he usually didn't need to let her out since there was a dog door. Although he was a little worried about her getting out and being attacked in the woods, but he didn't worry to much since she only did it while he was gone.

After refilling her bowl he made his way through the empty house, he didn't stop as he went right to his bedroom and took out clothes. As he did so he looked out his window, looking down he raised a brow seeing the house next door.

Where it use to be empty he saw that people were moving into it, from the looks of it, it was none other then the Cullen's they were apparently here. He knew that just from moving that they could hear him, but they seemed to coordinate the next part that happened.

Alice, well who he assumed was Alice, she was the smallest, turned around and smiled at him before waving. It would have been weird that she noticed him but at that moment she was turning with a box in her hand so it made it look natural.

He could see that a blonde asked her something before Rosalie was looking over too, that just caused a domino effect making them all wave at him. Without even responding he turned and walked away, he didn't want to be to close to them, mainly cause other then Leah and her brother Sam, he wasn't close to anyone.

After his shower Ryan took off downstairs heading to his green house, grabbing some buds off his plants he left. On his way out he put it all into his backpack before he went out to his motorcycle, as he pulled away he saw the Cullen's still moving.

Ignoring the jumping and happy Alice he took off, thankfully it was a long stretch of road so he could let himself speed as fast as he wanted.

----

It only took him another five minutes to get to school, by then they were already in second period and Ryan was really late. Though from the way he was walking slowly inside no one would really think that he was actually late.

He took the long route as he did enter the school, he was stopping by first period to see what homework he had before he headed to his current class. "Yo Mr. Crash. I wanted to see if there was any homework or anything that I needed to pick up."

Sighing he looked at Ryan as he collected some papers, "You know if you actually showed for my class then you would know these things already. Also there will be a test on Friday so be here for that please."

Ryan saluted as he took his trigonometry homework, the reason he wasn't given detention or told off is because he was second in his class. The thing keeping him from first was the simple fact that he had to many tardies on his record so he couldn't be placed first.

Some people laughed while the girls giggled while winking at him as he walked out of the room, he ignored them all, as he mentioned he didn't have friends here. While whistling he made his way to his next class which is history, which he was going to sleep through, even if there was only thirty minutes left.

As he entered the room the teacher didn't even stop talking as he walked over to his seat, people looked between the two of them but were use to the scene so didn't say anything. While taking his seat a note was thrown on his desk, raising a brow he picked it up also taking a look to she who threw it to him.

It was Jessica Stanley, resident popular girl and head cheerleader for the basketball team.

Opening the note he raised a brow as he read it, she was asking him to go to her party this weekend, throwing the note to the side he would consider it. Ryan sometimes went and sometimes didn't, it really just depended on who was throwing the party, cause most were a bust.

Seeing as it was her, and her family was semi rich it should be a good one, he would have to see if Leah and Seth wanted to join him. That is of course if Leah was in a good headspace at the time, well even if she wasn't then she should want to since he might want to let off steam.

It all depended on when Sam would imprint on Emily, if he hasn't already.

Taking his mind off that, he laid his head down and decided to sleep, that is what school was for him after all, with the help of the system and intelligence increase he already had a photographic memory. Being the smart person he was he learned everything he needed for these next two years so he didn't need to pay attention.

The teacher at the front of the class saw this but just sighed, there was nothing they could do when he did all the homework and passed every test all they could do was let him be. They were just glad that he actually came to class and didn't skip like most people would.
