15 Chapter 14): The Horror!

Ryan smiled as he took a big hit of Moonlight Dream, from one puff he felt it and immediately sat down laughing, laughing at what, he didn't know but he was feeling so good that the laughs were just leaving his body. It was lunch time again and he hadn't been high all day, he needed this and he was happy that this got him going, it was an amazing batch.

A vibration in his pocket had him laughing as he fumbled a moment to grab it, "Hello?" He answered not even looking to see who called.

"Really? Are you high again, didn't you have a drug test today?" Leah asked with a slight laugh as he answered.

"Umm yes, I got something new that is amazing, I mean it is sooo goooood," he broke out into laughter for now reason as he stretched out the word good, "Yeah, this is great."

She chuckled lightly, "Well how about you come to the bonfire tonight and we smoke some together. Or do you have something else to do?"

He thought about it and really he was always free, he had a basketball game tomorrow, the party Saturday, but other then that he was free, at least that was what his mind was telling him. He couldn't think about anything else that he had happening tonight, or if he did it was slipping him at the moment, Moonlight Dream was that good.

"Yeah sure I can be there." He said while looking to the side and seeing an angry glare from Rosalie who apparently had been listening to their conversation. Rolling his eyes he picked up his bag as he placed the phone between his ear and shoulder, opening it he wanted to get started on eating his chips but paused, horror struck him as he didn't have any food inside.

All that was in his bag was his motorcycle helmet, he had been so distracted by the notification this morning and the drug test he forgot all about packing his food, he shuddered as he slumped, "I'm going to die." He whispered but both girls heard him.

"Why is that?" Leah asked laughing thinking it was just a high moment.

"....I have no food. And I can't eat this crap at school, I am sure not all of it is even legal meat. Plus, no chips." He pouted as he threw his helmet to the ground in mock/serious anger about it all.

Ryan was so caught up in his moment that he didn't notice Rosalie leave, not that he would have cared much, the one time a day he looked forward to at school was ruined by the simple fact that he didn't check his bag before leaving. Sighing he picked up his hat and walked into the cafeteria, his shoulders were slumped as he walked over to his table.

"This is all your fault." He hissed into the phone as he took a seat still not noticing the one empty one next to him.

Leah laughed loudly, "And how is this my fault?"

"Because....because you didn't tell me to check my bag before leaving this morning. You just ran away after having breakfast."

"Says the one who rushed off after breakfast." He could hear the eye roll she did after that statement.

"Yeah well....I have no come back." He pouted laying his head on the table and pouting as the phone rested against his ear.

As he was contemplating calling in a pizza order he heard the sound of a box being placed down on the table, along with the sweet sweet sound of a chip bag, looking up his eyes began to sparkle, "An Angel!" He shouted looking at the table.

Sitting there was a large pizza from a place in port Angeles named 'Gino's' the steam was still coming off the box, there was also a family sized bag of cool ranch chips sitting there looking amazing. Following the pale hand holding the box he saw Rosalie Hale, her head was turned to the side but it was obvious that the food was for him.

"I'm not hungry, do you want this?" She asked while taking her seat next to him and pretending to look at her nails.

"Leah, I met and Angel today. She brought me a pizza from Gino's a long with cool ranch chips." He whispered in awe as he opened it up to find a Spinach and Pepperoni thin crust pizza sitting there.

"Oh and does this Angel have a name? How do you know it isn't poisoned?" She asked there was a laugh in her voice but if he wasn't as high he would notice the hint of seriousness too.

"No. Anyone who brings me food like this is definitely an Angel." He reasoned as he ate as quick as possible before someone could snatch it away from him.

He missed the smiled that graced Rosalie's face, and if the phone was on a video call he would have noticed the scowl that was on Leah's face, but because of the food in front of him he missed all of that. The rest of the Cullen family were looking at Rosalie with smirks on their faces, she didn't give them the satisfaction of looking away and held her head high.

"Who got you the food?" Leah asked after pausing for a few minutes to allow him to eat.

"Rosalie Hale, she is part of the Cullens, also my neighbor." He answered not really needing to hide it.

"You sit with them at lunch?" She asked something in her voice made him shudder.

"Actually, it is more of the fact that they are new here. I was perfectly content with having the table to myself but then they came along, now they won't leave." He explained as he finished the pizza and began to open the chips.

"Hmm. My much time is ending, I will see you at the bonfire right?" She asked, he could hear the bell ringing in the background for her.

"Yeah, I will bring the weed and also make my specialty cheese dip." He said with a grin, the people on the Rez loved his cheese dip, they couldn't get enough of it.

"Oh hell yeah!" She shouted right before hanging up.

He chuckled as he finished the chips the bell about to ring for them too, he had eaten faster seeing as he had less time today, he knew his coach wouldn't appreciate it he came to the gym later then ten minutes. Taking his time like normal would have resulted in him being more then twenty minutes late, so today he would at least be there in time today.

Luckily it was a light day since they had a game tomorrow it was more of them running some plays rather then anything else, he couldn't wait until Friday, that was gym day after all.

The bell rang making everyone plus him stand, he reached out grabbing Rosalie who stopped shocked along with the rest of her family, though they had the tact to move away to give them 'privacy'. Ryan looked Rosalie in the eye for a moment before he brought her into a hug, "Thank you for the meal. If there is anything I can do for you, just let me know."

He held her for another ten seconds before moving away, the entire time she had stood stock still and didn't get back to herself until he moved away, he shot her a smile over his shoulder before leaving. 'She did save me from cafeteria food, it's the least I can do for her.' he thought as he walked towards the gym.

(Cullen POV)

'He hugged me. His body was pressed against my own. He hugged me!' Rosalie thought over and over again as her mind seemed to break by the simple act.

Edythe laughed as she heard Rosalie's thoughts, "He broke her. A simple hug and it broke the ice queen. That is hilarious."

Her and Emmett began to laugh while Jasper gave a small smile, Alice was bouncing up and down, he visions of Rosalie and Ryan had gone dark so she didn't know what was going to happen between them. For the first time in years she didn't know the future for someone, and while it should scare her it made her actually excited to see a romance play out in front of her.

Edward the sour lemon of the group had to be the one to speak out though, "That was reckless, you are lucky he didn't ask where you got that from. Gino's is all the way in Port Angeles Rosalie, are you trying to expose us?!"

That seemed to snap Rosalie out of it as she glared over at Edward hissing slightly, "Don't you dare tell me what I can and can not do. I will tear you piece to piece Eddie and leave you at the bottoms of each ocean, don't tempt me."

Edward backed off in seconds as he got the clear and vivid details of what she would do if he even attempted to step in here, he shuddered while walking away not wanting her to act on it.

"Look at you being all possessive girlfriend yet you have only gotten a hug." Emmett joked but coughed as she passed him hitting him in the stomach, a crack was heard as she did it.

Alice giggled taking Jaspers hand as she followed her, "Just keep doing what you are doing Rose, I am sure I will all work out." She encouraged.

"I'm trying Alice." Rosalie sighed, she had waited years for this chance, she could wait as long as she needed to for them to be together, she did have forever after all. Even if it took until he was old and grey she would still wait for him and accept him at that time.

(Ryan POV)

"Alright boys!" Coach Greene said as he blew his whistle, "Our first game is tomorrow, we're playing the Jefferson High Dogs, let's try not to embarrass ourselves out there. First play get to it."

Ryan sighed as the ball was passed into Tyler, the kid might not even be able to play tomorrow and he was still working with the first team, Ryan thought they should have brought in the backup so it would flow better. Edging around his defender he took the ball from Newton and dribbled, he cross the guy up and went for a layup but at the last moment passed to the waiting center who quickly shot.

Ryan sighed as the ball missed, the kids put to much power into his shot, "Torres! Is that what you call shooting! Because if it is then you can sit out tomorrow, run it again!" Coach shouted angry at the messed up play.

Going back into position he waited for the play to be called again, from where he stood he could see Rosalie sitting in the stands watching him intently. He was still high but he was thinking a little clearer, and at the moment he knew it was a bad idea to hug her, she was looking like a creepy stalker now and it sent a shudder down his spine.

Ignoring her he got back into the play as the ball was passed in again.
