Game Start!

After the confession and the nosy parents. Nyx and Rose spent the day at a local cafe and a picnic. They got food and drinks. They pretty much had their first date on his birthday and it was perfect. When they made it back to the house, Rose's parents and his mom were all waiting for him. They had an ice cream cake with lit candles to sing happy birthday to him.

After his birthday and no more events, Rose dragged him upstairs. The VR pod should have been ready by now and connected to the house," she said. "Nyx, I heard you wanted the game Twilight Online. So, I got a copy for both me and you for the best pod. Also, I made you a streaming account with YouTube and Twitch. I also signed you up for the Starlight site. It has an account where you can sell in-game currency and items and chat with other people." 

Nyx sighed as he heard Rose buy him everything he needed. He was grateful. But, he knows she will not take his money. So, he has to figure out a way to pay her back. "Thank you Rose for the birthday present." I know that you are not gonna let me pay you back with my money so maybe I can pay you back in other ways in the future."

He kisses her on the cheek as he says that to her. Rose blushed and slapped his hand. "You can't say that and not do anything, you jerk. I may take you up on that though pretty soon as my 19th birthday should be next and I know what I want for it. Be prepared for a long night, mister,"

He laughed at her as she blushed at the idea of doing something special on her birthday. She usually teased him. So, this was a nice moment for him. "You don't have to threaten me with a good time. But anyway, didn't you want to leave soon to play the game as well? I heard you were gonna be a warrior build that deals with swords".

Rose giggled at him and hit him on the shoulder. "Yeah, I was going to be a swordsman that could do magic, like a spellblade, in our DND games. So I am gonna head out. I already set up everything and added you to my Starlight account when I was setting up yours. I know you wanted to be a summoner so after you get used to your class we can start streaming and have fun together."

He nodded at the idea and smiled. He couldn't wait to try the summoner class and see many new creatures. They wouldn't be possible to see in real life. "Yeah, I wanted to be a summoner since it seemed like the best fit. I like animals and I heard that the beast type of the summoner would be my best option. Even though no one wants it." He walked her home as they continued talking about the game.

They agreed to play together and start streaming together after the starting town. The game map had the location in the south. It was the nicer part to start the game in, rather than the north. There was a lot of lore that the beta testers leaked. He showed interest in it a lot. After walking Rose back home, he made it back to his house at 6 pm."Well, I might as well hop on the game. It's the weekend and spring break, so we have the week off. Mom, I am gonna be playing the VR game I mentioned. You can watch my stream and message me on there if you need something!"

He walked upstairs to his room where he saw the Vr pod sitting there. He pressed a button and the hatch of the pod opened up. The lights outside the pod and inside started to glow blue. He has never seen something so advanced."Well this is freaking intimidating as hell. Well I already have been to another world so what's one more. At least this time I won't be a baby." He sat into the VR pod and put his headset on.

"Start-Up!"

As Nyx said the command words all he saw was darkness and then light slowly coming towards him. This felt so familiar to him as this felt like the time he was reborn. Then he saw many lights surrounding him, each all different colors. Then the light coming towards him was getting too bright and getting closer so he had to close his eyes. As he closes his eyes he feels wind on his skin and people talking around him."Woah..."

He saw what looked like a town that had so many people walking about. Some people wore armor that looked like Knights. Others wore mage robes. He saw a street performer shaping water around him that looked like animals. The kids around the performer were touching the water and the animals ran around them. It was like in a story book or the old mage legends from his first life. "Hey there, you seem new. Are you one of the travellers that the gods foretold?"

He saw a man dressed in leather armor with a sword on his hip, sporting a scar on his cheek and a rugged look. Also, on his armor was an emblem that looked like a dragon claw with the letter D inscribed into it. "Um, yes sir. I am new to this world. Where can I get a class and see my status, sir? Also wanted to know any information that you had about this new world I am probably going to step into."

The man laughed at his polite response and lost look. Then he slapped him on the back."Well aren't you a respectful lad. I can help you awaken your class and status. After all, I am Jake the Goblin Slayer and I have been slaying goblins for a year now." Jake seemed nice, so he led them to a building. He said it was the Adventurer Guild, the only place that did awakening for free. 

As he walked towards the building with Jake he saw a huge shadow covering the town. Everyone started cheering for some reason. He saw something that would forever be in his mind. He saw a massive red Wyvern flying above the town. A person seemed to be riding on his back. They flew past the town and towards the horizon.

"RWWWRRAA!"

Jake looked at Nyx's shocked face and made a mighty hard laugh."Welcome to the World of Twilight young lad. Countless magic and wonders in this world are waiting for exploration!"
