~Chapter 9~

"~AH Lucian, Nash, Orion, you came, you actually came!!!" A misty like fog appeared moving around the air. The fog soon descended to the men's feet and slowly took shape.

In replace of the fog that was there seconds ago was a naked woman. It didn't seem to both her too much. Instead, she gladly flaunted her naked body at the three men, who looked very much not enticed by her nakedness, instead they felt repulsed.

She came closer to the men, but they immediately took several steps back, feeling completely repulsed by her. She frowned slightly, for a moment feeling offend, but it was just for a moment.

Only a moment.

It was as though it was used to it.

She soon transformed into her fog like appearance, this time swimming towards them. It transformed into a man, standing behind them, he placed his hands on Lucian's shoulder.

Lucian felt a disgusted chill run down his spine, once he felt its hands-on his shoulders. He immediately grabbed his wrist and threw him off his shoulders, landing him harshly on the ground as he stepped hard on his throat.

"Don't touch me casually, you foul existence of a curse" Lucian spat venomously at him.

The man laughed, but it sounded horrifying, it was so disgusting and bone chilling to hear. The man yet again turned into fog, disappearing from under his feet.

"~You are so mean to me, after all we have being through"

"Drop the act. Who released you?"

"~Oh my I can't tell you that"

"JINX!!!"

"~Ah, Orion, the way you call my name makes me very happy" Jinx squealed as it flew very close to his face, invading his personal space. Orion had the same reaction as Lucian did. He was visibly irritated with this figure in front of him.

"~You all are so mean," Jinx sighed pitifully, jumping towards Nash.

Nash, who didn't have the strength nor the pleasure to entertain her antics, and just moved out of Jinx's way, which made it fall into the pool with an embarrassing slash.

"Jinx, don't you know when you are needed and when you aren't?" Nash asked tiredly, scratching the back of his head. He was exhausted. He hadn't being getting much sleep lately and he didn't like it.

Getting called this early morning by Lucian wasn't something on his checklist. Finding out the Jinx had broken free soiled his mood the more. Having to remember its disgusting form, voice, and sound of Jinx irritated him to the core.

"Jinx, just tell us what we want to know," Nash interrogated. He stretched his arm towards the water. It soon began to twirl and seconds later it began bubbling like boil water.

"~Ah Nash stop, it hurts" Jinx moaned on its words "~Ha Ha, I am just joking. Don't take me seriously. " Turning itself into mist, it disperses itself away from the water.

"~sigh, I am tired of being nice to you three. Ever since you came in, you have been nothing but mean and rude to me," Jinx cried out, its innocence.

Changing its form again, what soon appeared in front of them was an Akbash-Bird.

It was a fairly common type of bird. It was about the size of an average eagle. But it had two large wings and four legs, with a long and powerful tail.

The three men were soon starting to get peeved with its nonchalant attitude. It really was getting old.

Breathing out trying to cool his temper, Orion robbed on his temper softly, "So tell us Jinx, Who released you?"

"~Who? Why should I tell you? So you can go kill my saviors?"

"Yes" Nash answered

"Saviors? There are more than one?"

"~My oh My, I made a slip up," Jinx said, flapping its wings around. Out of add annoyance, Lucian, with the speed of lighting, he split the Jinx Akbash-bird in shreds.

"Now is not the time for your lame jokes Jinx" Lucian's eyes blazed with anger as the sword was stabbed on Jinx's back.

"~Lucian, do always have to result to violence?"

"For you, yes I do!" Stabbing it deeper into the ground.

"~That's why nobody visits you at your home"

"I have plenty of guests coming to visit me at Centurion," Lucian yelled, sounding defensive and sensitive.

It was a very touchy subject for him.

"I am not talking about centurion, I am talking about—" But before it could complete its statement, lighting shot down from the sky, through the opened hole in the mountain.

Orion.

Orion was irritated. Jinx screamed with violet pain once the lightning bolt hit it. Jinx shivered in fear as it immediately turned into mist, but it put a long distance between it and the three men.

It was as though it finally realized the men were not here to foul around with it.

JINX didn't change to any physical or tangible form, it stayed in its fog like appearance.

"I will only ask this once, who released you?!!!" Orion yelled in anger.

He was so angry, as the other two men were. How did it get released? Who released it?, What was their aim?. These were the questions that ran through Orion's mind.

It had taken quite a number of them to defeat Jinx in the last Six hundred years, and now a nonsensical person released it.

Of course, he had every reason to be mad at who so ever released Jinx from its prison.

Mad?

Peeved?

No, he wanted them dead, and he was going to do it by himself.

"~Sigh, they were two of them. I will not mention their gender and, to be honest—" Jinx began to confess, it sat on a rock as it transformed into its naked female form.

"~I don't know which one released me tho, the women were strange"

A knowing glint appeared in the three men's eyes as their ears pecked up at Jinx's mistake.

Jinx was really loose lipped Six hundred years ago, imprisonment probably didn't do anything to fix it.

Women?

"Women came here last night?" Nash asked, voicing his thoughts.

"~Yes, very pretty ones, but I didn't get to see their face and—" Jinx stopped for a moment after it realized its mistake.

"~Ah, I made a mistake again. I am not talking to you lots anymore!!" It yelled in annoyance, believing it had being fooled into telling the truth.

"Did imprisonment make you more stupid?, How did you know they were pretty if you didn't see their face?" Lucian asked, clearly believing it was all a lie and a trick to fool them.

"~From their voices"

"You are a fool, you block-head," the men cursed at her at the same time.

"~I will not stand for this insult," Jinx yelled audaciously, like the men would bother to apologize. Nash only rolled his at her stupidity. Orion gave it a hard glare, while Lucian thought on Jinx words.

"But still, who would be so stupid to come to Anly mountain in the night? Not just Anly mountain, but what woman in her right state of mind would walk around in the kingdom at night with the killings going on and about?" Lucian asked.

"~Oh? Are you experiencing pain? Agony? Or suffering?" Immediately Jinx asked,

As its voice echoed off the mountain walls, a chill crept into the room, suffusing the atmosphere with an icy dread. And as the JINX statement echoed into the darkness, the air itself seemed to recoil, as if unable to bear witness to the depths of their depravity.

Chills ran down the men's spine. It was suddenly as if their fright, fight, or flight mode was turned on. The pool rose up six feet high as it began clashing onto the wall. It looked like it was experiencing great turbulent.

The presence and atmosphere inside the mountain suddenly changed into a gloomy feeling. It felt choking. It felt like if one should breathe in the air, they would surely die. The afternoon sun had left the sky, and the clouds had completely disappeared.

All that was left was a clear dark sky that gave off an eerie poisonous feeling, like death.

Inside the dark sky were thunderbolts. Short and long flash of lighting bolts whipped through the air like stripe lights.

"Watch your mouth, mouth," Orion spat venomously.

"~Hey, hey, hey now, I was just joking. There is no reason for you three to threaten me" Jinx spoke nervously.

They were soon quiet after that. All lost in their thoughts.

"So, what are we going to do about this?" Nash pointed towards jinx. Orion scratched his head. This was all messed up.

First, this nonsensical killing that has being driving him crazy. And now this curse has being release, was this some sort of plan from an unknown being?

"Nothing"

Jinx has no gender or form. They can shift from one gender to another, and also from one animal to another. That is why its pronouns changes.
