187 It's Still Chocolate?

"Some of you were personally taken in by me a few months ago, and now I'm sure each of you can kick my ass."

Airon flashed a proud smile, he wanted to praise these men who were the foundation of his military might. These men would open the door to new opportunities and goals for him, so he wanted to show them that their hard work had paid off.

He was not this type of man, but with the recent discoveries these three hundred soldiers were only the start to something much bigger he needed for the future.

Airon's words were short, it was night and too much still needed to be done.

Everyone slowly gathered around Airon and these mysterious people who for obvious reasons were soldiers, they all came from Atlanta.

"You have all seen how powerful we can become together, society and hard life have made us powerful survivors. You guys get it, some people still don't."

Airon paced back and forth as he looked at these people with absolute authority, he was after all the commander of the entire S.C.T. the community.

"Glory to mankind!"

Making a salute characteristic of the S.C.T. the community, everyone present felt their skin go cold. "Glory to humanity!"

Nodding with satisfaction, Airon announced, "Later there will be a meeting where we will discuss the jobs you need to do, for now set up the tents and unload your things."

"Understood, sir!"

After saying a few words of welcome, everyone started to move following the jobs that should be done next to settle in Alexandria.

"Deanna, it will only be for a while before we expand into this place and see what to do first. We have enough guards now to have the entire perimeter secured, there will be no problems." Airon said as he approached Deanna.

Deanna looked at all those people and nodded, she had no problem so she said, "This is not a problem Airon, we are all from the same community now."

Hearing this response worthy of Deanna Monroe, Airon smiled slightly and nodded. "Good, we will have a meeting in an hour where I will report on everything important for our future, I look forward to seeing you and potential members of Alexandria.

Giving Aaron a look, Airon nodded in greeting and walked towards a special place that had been being curated since he arrived here. Signaling to Raul Mendez and Morgan, they nodded and walked towards Airon along with Daryl.

In a military tent, there was a special box he had obtained from the military camp they had cleared before coming to Alexandria, and in that box was stored the mutated walker's corpse.

"Go help with the resources that arrived boy." Airon said to the young man standing guard at the entrance to the tent.

"Yes, commander!"

After ordering the young man, Airon felt that the depression that had been pressing on his chest for the past few days had eased, which made him feel much more comfortable. Indeed, although he feared that the walkers would mutate in some way that would turn them into worse predators, he knew he had a lot of leverage even if that happened.

Ignoring the stares of the people around him, Airon signaled for them to enter and then after seeing that everyone returned to their homes he went inside. But in the darkness behind some crates, a young woman Airon would recognize as Enid had crept up to where the group entered.

Crossing the tent, Airon saw that everyone was looking at the corpse of the walker that still remained in good condition with shock. Airon raised his hand to look at the time, it was almost 9 o'clock.

After everyone would see this walker with their own eyes, they kept silent and thought about the veracity of the danger this posed.

"How long since he was killed?" Morgan asked as he slowly approached the corpse.

"Two weeks or one? Even if so, this fucker hasn't rotted like the others, he even sent Airon flying like he weighed ten kilos." Daryl saw the corpse from afar and answered Morgan's question.

"Yeah, that's something I don't like to mention..." Airon looked at Daryl and then pointed out, "You know, I was guarding the team.... This walker came out of nowhere..."

"We know you're strong but that doesn't change that it sent you flying..." Daryl didn't look at Airon and a smile secretly tugged at his lips.

"This is bad, if the walkers mutate like the viruses in the movies, if we're going to be in trouble..." Raul was secretly scared, but he just looked at the corpse silently and had no intention of expressing his fears.

Seeing that the other party didn't seem to want to say anything, Raul just sighed and didn't ask any more questions. After all, everyone has their own assumptions and it's not good to rush to conclusions.

"I'm sure they won't be a problem, with an arrow I can take care of it with one of these."

Daryl was still boasting, this was one of those rare occasions where he can annoy Airon, so he was secretly having fun.

"This bastard moved in such a way that he was able to dodge bullets! Daryl, I know you like being Robin Hood but you couldn't handle a walker like this, if it sent me flying, you wouldn't get a chance to load your crossbow."

Airon looked at Daryl and grumbled at this arrogant fellow, like any good man, he should set him straight.

"No, you're wrong..." Daryl didn't want to back down at these words.

Morgan, who was sitting next to them, stopped the conversation when she saw the two of them, hesitated and voiced her thoughts, "If what you said is true, haven't they encountered other abnormalities along the way? We must be prepared."

Airon turned his head to look at Morgan beside him, he looked at his somewhat worried expression, to be honest, he was relieved that he wasn't the only depressed one in the group.

"What we should do is send this special walker with Candace to the central base, see how they differ to other walkers and what are the chances of this one abounding in masses like the others."

"Does anyone else know?" Raul asked with a serious look.

"Does that matter?" Daryl returned the question without waiting for an answer.

"No, it doesn't matter. Raul, go organize the squad that will return to the central base." After saying that, Airon turned to Daryl and said, "I want you to talk to Maggie, it's been a while since they've been back, although we won't be back long, it would be good to ask her if she doesn't want to do it now that the opportunity arose."

"That applies to you too, Daryl..."

Daryl nodded as he listened to Airon's words. Truth be told, they had been gone for quite a while. Then he said before leaving the tent, "You need me or you'll die petting that clown King's cat..."

"Clown King?" Morgan muttered doubtfully.

"It's nothing, go help the others, remember to attend the meeting."

After dismissing everyone in the tent, Airon went outside and pulled a chocolate from his vest. Opening the packaging, he turned his head to the side and said, "Don't you want chocolate Enid?"

A few seconds later, Enid came out from a corner of the tent and stood next to Airon, "I didn't hear anything..."

"I don't care, what are you doing up so late?" Airon asked with an indifferent expression, he really had nothing to say to this situation.

"Do you find it sleepy with the noises outside?" Enid gave Airon a somewhat frustrated look and took the chocolate in her hand before leaving without another word.

"It was nice to see you, though I really don't know if we're on good terms, are we friends? You really are someone hard to read, Enid, remember not to eat all the chocolate, even though it is 99.99% Cocoa."

In the distance, Enid looked at the chocolate in her hand and murmured, "Is this still chocolate?"

Smiling, Airon turned around and walked toward the meeting he was about to have. There were many things and little time after all.
