21 CHP21 Consequences
Introducing Malivore, who's physical form was a massive Golem to Freya and Aurora was fun. They both didn't know that his mental age was a lot different compared to his physical form.
Explaining to both that he was just but a child mentally, I don't think really helped.
When travelling back home to avoid any distress from the humans, Freya tried to put a spell on Malivore to cover up his form and make him more realistic to humans. I say tried, because the kid seemed to have a particular dislike for magic, it took some convincing from the greatest, most charismatic man of all time Klaus to finally get him to agree, after explaining that Freya currently wished no harm. I made no promise for the future though.
Aurora was freaked out at first. This was the being that had blocked her memories and she had travelled many of miles, only to find a prepubescent golem that had the mental age of a small child. It would take some getting use to for sure. Hopefully Malivore could learn to shapeshift into a smaller form, one much more suited to human travelling.
Freya was not as weirded out. But she was starting to get annoyed at her brothers insistence at keeping anything he found interesting. They had come here to kill the being that was wiping the memories of the population and killing whole species of supernatural creatures but instead Klaus had decided to adopt the creature, even though the thing could just start swallowing us any second. And what's with the stupid name, Malivore. That would have to be changed, I will not be calling someone Malivore for the rest of my life, not a chance.
"You better change it's name." Freya told her brother Klaus, after first meeting Malivore.
"It's not an IT, dear sister," Klaus said dramatically, "IT is now my child."
"Well IT needs a new name." Freya replied dryly, looking at her brother with the same deadpan tone.
"Fine just because you insisted sister," Klaus said looking at his sister with a resolute face
"IT'S NAME WILL NOW BE," Klaus said proclaiming to an imaginable audience, "Klaus Jr"
Freya looked at her brother with disbelief. "Klaus Jr, you must be joking."
Klaus turned back to his sister, telling her. "I'm deadly serious sister."
Freya just resigned herself, asking in confusion, "Why?"
"Because sister, i though it would be cool," Klaus said annoying his sister even more, "His full name will be Niklaus Malivore Niklausson Jr."
Klaus started to laugh to him self, clearly delighted with his choice. Freya on the other hand was just looking at her brother, pity starting to well up inside of her for the poor now named Niklaus Jr. The previously named Malivore was a destructive weapon created to eliminate supernatural creatures like herself and she was starting to feel pity for it. That's how much she didn't find Klaus amusing.
"You just made me feel pity for him." She said to her brother when he finally stopped laughing to himself. "That's how awful the name is."
"You wound me sister," Klaus said shamelessly. "Ill have you know that Klaus is a fantastic name and I wont be bullied into thinking otherwise."
Freya was looking at her brother with the biggest case of bewilderment ever seen before. Here was her brother, the strongest being in the world acting like a shameless idiot. 'bullying you' she thought at the ridiculousness of the situation.
Klaus seeing his sisters start to explode hr decided to save her some mental strength by saying, "I'm only joking with you sister, But I'm serious about the name."
Freya stopped trying to understand her brother, after a few minutes finally coming up with something to rattle her brother as revenge.
"Good luck getting Aurora to agree to the name." She said to Klaus, who's face dropped before masking his face back up as if nothing happened. But Freya had already seen the slip, going even further to say, "I bet she will also love the idea of adopting 'Klaus Jr' as well."
When Freya started laughing that's when Klaus new that this was Freya's revenge for his little plot earlier.
"You ain't funny sister." Klaus replied to Freya in an irritated tone, "I can convince Aurora." He said trying to convince himself first of all. This caused Freya to laugh harder which for Klaus was a weird sight in it's self. Freya was usually very serious and rarely ever cracked a smile or a laugh.
"I'm glad you find yourself funny sister because your the only one." Klaus said before leaving in frustration to go and try to convince Aurora about adopting his Jr.
I found Aurora by herself looking all sad, so I snuck up behind her and picked her up from behind in a reverse hug position.
"What's up love?" Klaus said softly into Aurora's neck after putting her down.
"Nothing." Aurora replied. The reply worried Klaus as he new that nothing obviously meant something.
"Well if nothings bothering you, why do you look so sad?" Klaus insisted.
She took a while to reply, thinking over if she wanted to vent, eventually doing so letting all her frustration out.
"It's just Malivore. I don't understand why you've decided to take him on. You know what he's capable of, the things he can do. How do you know that tomorrow, he wont turn on us killing the lot of us?" When she finished venting she seemed to look a lot lighter with no running thoughts in her mind, allowing them to finally discuss without any distractions.
"I understand what you mean." Klaus started, having turned Aurora around to looking into her eyes as he spoke. "'Malivore' was created to end supernatural life you are right, but he's also just a child. We cant kill him, the only way we could of defeated him was by trapping him but like I said he's just a child which means he can molded and influenced to our side, if we are to treat him with what all kids want, love and affection."
"That's your plan?" Aurora said in disbelief, she had seen and heard many of stories from Klaus through out the years but this had to be one of his most craziest ones yet. "Treat him with love and affection and expect him to fall in line and be a good boy." Aurora finished ironically.
"WE are the biggest monsters in the world," Aurora said frantically to Klaus, starting to stab her fingers at his chest trying to make him understand. "The fact that Sigr is not completely insane is a miracle in it's self and you expect to raise Malivore to be anything other than insane, is insanity in it's self."
They had moved apart after the arguing stated. Klaus looked a this wife with determination, "This is not insanity Aurora." He said sternly. "We are not insane and Sigr is not either, she may not be perfect, but who is and Malivore, he needs guidance or he will become our most fearsome enemy yet."
"What so you expect me to raise him as my own." She said to Klaus in disbelief.
"Well I didn't want to bring it up again but there is another way," Klaus said to his wife, intent evident either raise him as your own or ill have to find another way. "If you so badly want him dead you know what needs to be done."
"BASTARD." Aurora said swinging at Klaus but missing as he easily dogged out of the way, "FINE IF YOU WANT ME TO RAISE THE BASTARD I WILL." She said barking madly.
Klaus seeing his wife going mad tried his best to calm her back down, as it was mostly his fault she had gone mad in the first place. But he had no look, after countless attempts to attack him from Aurora he decided to snap her neck as painless as possible to get her to stop and let him think for a moment.
Now with just quiet and the time to think things over he realized he had gone completely wrong in his efforts to convince Aurora and now he wouldn't be able to trust her to raise Malivore properly. Not wanting her to treat him like he was treated by Mikael, he made the decision to leave. Just him and Malivore which will give him the time to properly raise him with his set of morals.
He told Freya before leaving, placing the responsibility of Aurora's care into her hands for the time being. He also made sure to tell Sigr before leaving as well.
Just the two of them, Klaus and now named Klaus Jr they headed off across the world, only to come back when Klaus thought his son ready.
