After the meeting with Bonnie, I was a little disappointed but I had the idea that she wouldn't accept my offer, even though it was for the common good of all. Now I have looked over everything on my own and I didn't want to do that again. It's quite tiring to be on top. I finally arrived at home and saw that Elena's car was missing so maybe she went home.

I walked inside and I saw Stefan moping around in the parlour for some reason. I walked in and he looked up and asked, "Where were you? You left in a hurry?"

I sighed and poured some whiskey for me and said, "Went to meet Bonnie."

He looked confused and said, "Why did you meet with Bonnie so suddenly? I thought Vicki was important?"

I took a sip and nodded, "She is and that's why I had to go…"

He shook his head and said, "I don't get it."

"She knows."

He looked at me with his eyes wide and said, "And you still went to her?"

"We met at the grill and it's not like she could have killed me." I patted his shoulders.

"What did she say? What did you say?"

"She asked me about being a vampire and all, I asked her to cooperate with us in exchange we would ensure the safety of the town's people from other vamps, you know that kinda deal."

"And?"

I shrugged and said, "She refused…" He looked at me and sighed, "I know, I'm disappointed as well… but I do think she'll change her mind sometime in the future."

"Why?"

"This is Mystic Falls, Stefan nothing is what it seems… I'm very sure that somehow something will happen that would require us to kinda work together."

He looked confused and said, "Are we talking about the same place? Because the last big thing that happened was us and that one… anyways. Nothing happens here."

I chuckled and got up and patted his back and walked out the room. He still doesn't know about the history of this place. I went upstairs in my room and I found Vicki laying on my bed and she was looking at the ceiling and said, "You're back meeting with a girl?"

She turned to look at me and I nodded, "Smell or sound?"

"Smell… I somehow can't hear out of this room?"

I shrugged my shoulders and asked, "So what did Stefan teach you while I was gone?"

"He told me to drink coffee…" She turned her head towards me and said, "Your's is better."

I smiled, "Not the first time I've heard that one."

She got up and asked, "When can we go out?" 

"As soon as the sun sets we'll go…"

She whined and said, "Why can't I get a ring like you?"

I looked at her and said, "Learn to walk first Vicki. This thing is precious, I didn't even have this for like a decade or two."

She tilted her head and asked, "Then how did you… how did you live?"

I sighed and sat down next to her, "When I turned, I was alone and there wasn't anyone that I could rely on, but that's not the case for you and as far as how I lived? I lived in new york for a while living as a saloon keeper and a mortician during the day. Kinda gave me a hunting ground and a sanctuary as well."

She was baffled and asked, "You worked?" I nodded and she asked, "Why would you work? When you can do that weird hypno thingy?"

"It's called compulsion and why not as I said those places helped me blend in within society and it really helped me develop my human side."

She hummed and nodded, "So what else did you do?"

I recollected the professions I've worked in and I said, "I was a barber, mechanic, driver, physician, lawyer and a businessman."

"You must be loaded then?"

"How else am I'm affording to drink a Macallan 12 daily? Of course I'm rich."

She leaned in and asked, "You think, I'll be rich?"

"Yeah… I mean, things have become a little janky now… so I kinda don't know. You could have done some modelling. You definitely have the body for it but you can't."

"Why?"

"Evidence? Even Vlad gets called out sometimes. I mean who told you to be an actor and for that long as well."

"Wait, Dracula is real?"

"Not in the typical sense… and not the one you're thinking about, but yes."

"Have you turned anyone?"

"A few… they have turned some…"

"So why aren't they with you?"

"They are busy with their own things, one's in Peru, the other two are in the U.S. and I don't know what the last one's doing… probably in the UK again."

"You're not close with them?"

"I'm close with them… it's just nice to have some time to yourself."

"Hmm…"

"What?"

"I miss Matt."

I sighed and looked out the window and the sun was just about to go down and I said, "Well, the sun's about to set… get dressed, we're going out."

That excited her a little and she went out of the room and I started to get changed as well. I opened the cupboard and took out an undershirt and a pair of shorts. I wore it and walked outside the room and found Vicki in the same clothes and I asked, "Why aren't you changed?"

"I don't have any clothes." She said with a straight face.

I sighed and said, "Well, we'll have to fix that later then. Let's go."

Both of us went downstairs and we saw Damon and Stefan and Stefan asked, "Where are you taking her?"

"Exercise…" 

Damon looked at me and said, "Sure that's a good idea?" Vicki looked at me with a lot of hope.

I nodded and I said, "She's gonna be fine… what are you two up to?"

Damon looked at Stefan and said, "Well, I'm going to this party and as for Stefan he's doing what he does best… Sulking."

I looked at him and asked, "Why don't you go to the party?"

Stefan shook his head and said, "No… I'm not in the mood."

"You're never in the mood for anything fun." Damon scoffed.

"Can we go?" Vicki asked with an excited look and I shook my head making her sculk.

"Go to the party… not to have fun or anything, to keep an eye on the loose cannon. We can't afford another outburst from him."

Damon looked at me and seemed pretty hurt, "Hey… that's hurtful, but sure. Come along. It will be fun."

Vicki tugged on my hand and I nodded and sighed, "You stay with him and you try to be decent? No more making new vampires." As I said to them I walked out the door with Vicky.

She was excited to go out but I stopped her and she turned around and looked at me and I said, "Vicki." She looked at me and hummed and I said, "This is a trust building process, alright… so don't try and do anything stupid. Because Im older and stronger, so keep that in mind. If you misbehave you'll get some thing worse than the spray. And you don't want that get it?"

She nodded slowly and I smiled, "Good, now let's go."

Both of us started to briskly walk and I saw Vicki and she was slowly starting to realise something about her. I looked at her and said, "Try and speed up." I sped up a little ahead of her and she caught on, I did that again and again and when I looked at her, face was lit with excitement. We were moving as fast as cars now.

I turned to her again and said, "We can go even faster." I sped up a lot and she stopped and looked at me disappearing from her eyes with just leaving a sound behind. "How did you do that?"

I appeared behind her and said, "That's just a little something we can do. Now again." 

She gleefully nodded and off we were, I told her more about our powers and we trained a lot more until she was drenched in sweat, but even then she didn't want to stop. I think she'll take well to the training. I hope I can make her better.
