Selina was a country with magnificent landscapes and breathtaking seascapes, Nature had blessed the country with spectacular views. Not only was Selina famous for its beauty but also for its mineral-rich mountains and fertile lands. But these blessings brought a great threat to the lands, Selina had to face its share of battles throughout the ages only to save its resources from the attackers, Many wanted to take over the lands and sabotage their mines but were never truly successful. Still, the threat was not over but the country had prepared itself for any kind of intrusion.

King Jude, the beloved ruler of the nation, was one of the greatest rulers Selina had ever seen, took over the kingdom at the age of fourteen after his family was brutally assassinated by his Uncle, The kingdom was in dire need of a ruler, the country was on the verge of doom. Though he was not the King in line, He had to take up the responsibility because his elder brother was dead. After he became the king he was very flawed but he didn't give up, he sacrificed his comfort, emotions, and feelings, just to hold the KIngdom in one piece. And at the age of twenty, Jude became an ideal for everyone in the kingdom. The people of the kingdom followed his footsteps to build a prosperous nation.

The winter festival was celebrated at the end of every winter, it was the day when Jude became the ruler of the Kingdom.

The Royal Palace where the King lived was located in the central city of Valbeach, The city was well known for its lakes and other water bodies. And in the lake of Dorcoat, on an island, the Royal Palace of the King was built,

The grey-blue rough stone wall stretched throughout the Island, it was a huge landmass. The walls were circling the great Darton Fort protecting the Royal Palace, which was situated in the center of the fort. The entrance of the gate was heavily protected with iron portcullis.

The walls were guarded by the inbuilt watchtowers. the external walls were the first line of defense followed by another series of walls, the beauties of the palace were protected by the second walls, Inside the gates of the internal walls were lush green gardens and flower fields, the polished rock pavements had perfectly cut hornbeam trees leading to the Huge Palace in the midst of the magnificent building, The sun shined over the cobblestone walls, Bugle Weeds creeping on the walls making it look like a painted scenery. The wooden door that leads into the castle was carved skillfully, the floor of the inside hallway was carpeted with scarlet rugs. The sidewalls of the hallway had countless ornaments, The multiple chandeliers with hundreds of candles brightened up the hallway.

The palace at this time of the year was heavily decorated with flowers and ribbons, The Arorabia WInter Festival was in its full swing, the festival lasted three days, At the end of the festival, everyone in the kingdom would write their wishes on paper lantern, and release them at the same time. This tradition started with King Jude, as he was the first one who did it after becoming the king. He was unsure about his skill so he wished upon a lantern and released it into the sky hoping that the skies would help him, he did that every year at the same time and just like that, it became a tradition.

At the end of the hallway were two heavily guarded doors, the outside of which had gold shield glue to them, the scent of gold and riches was in the air,

A man in a black tailcoat walked hurriedly towards the grand Throne room, he wore a displeased expression on his face. The guards that were on the patrol opened the doors for him allowing him to enter the room. The heavy doors were pushed open revealing a spacious room. With white polished marble reflecting the ceiling, where a massive bronze medallion decorated it. A central Swarovski Crystal Chandelier, giving the room an extinguished look. The off-white walls of the room were skillfully engraved with golden roses and bronze-green leaves. The most spectacular thing about the room was the throne of the king. That was an elevated stage, the stairs that lead up to the throne chair, That was guarded by knights in silver chain armors and a navy blue west with a proud stag sown into the fabric.

On every step, there were Golden fire stangs giving out a warm light. And in front of the heavy navy blue velvet curtains was a bejeweled chair, though it was aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, The cushion covering the seat was also of utmost comfort.

The Envoy fixed his coat and looked up at the King who was in his late forties, he had a few strands of white hair but except for that, there was nothing that made him look old. He had sharp features and a handsome face. His pair of keen hazel eyes looked intently at the envoy.

"Reporting to His Majesty," He said, the envoy was breathless as he had run all the way to the palace.

"You may proceed," The KIng spoke in a clear voice, "WHat brought you here,"

"Your Majesty, This servant has bad news for you," he said, with his head hanging low.

King Jude's eyebrows twitch, "What is it? " He asked.

"Your Majesty, According to General Grandgrim of the north, The Krazi tribes are attacking the villages on the borderline, The General suspects some criminal activities during the festival." He stated, still looking down. He was waiting for a response from the king.

"Hm… Send the Snow Ranges to the borderline, Keep the news hidden from the people, let them celebrate the festival in peace," said the King, his eyes staring into nothingness.

"RIght Away, Your Majesty." said the envoy, and looked up directly at the king, before leaving he bowed one more time and left the room.
