They were known to be different.

They were respected and well known in the underground world.

Their family were known to be demons and showed no mercy to anyone, whomever stands in their way will be tortured and never see the light of day.

This family was the very definition of darkness.

But in that darkness was a light and a secret.

John felt the need. His eyes are starting to turn to a shade of black again but was completely stopped as the little girl's voice interrupted his dark thoughts.

"I'm sorry for going outside today and disobeying you. I just wanted to play outside. I promise I won't do it again." Violet whispered, eyes still closed as she placed a small hand on her brother's cheek.

John smiled and took her little hands on his and placed a kiss on top of them.

"It is alright to play outside. As long as someone is with you at home. We were just worried that something bad might happen to you." He said as he smiled warmly.

"Even if something bad did happen to me. I know that you would come to my rescue and kick the bad guy that hurts me." She giggled and laid on her brothers chest.

"Hm. You got that right little baby. We won't let anything bad happen to you. I promise you that." John said as he stroked her baby sisters hair until she fell back to sleep.
