Chapter 37

Sitting in a chair soaking up the sun in the palace garden, Vlad enjoys his day instead of his boring office. With no shoes on, he gets the grass between his toes, while the maids wait on refreshments. Opening his mouth, a maid puts a slice of apple in, and he happily enjoys peace and laziness. With a satisfied sigh he continues to lounge around until a guard comes in rushing "Your majesty!" he shouts "Urgent news from the border, there has been a clash there with the elves and we have won but the general has only crossed the border slightly. What's your order?" He also handed Vladimir a report.

After taking and reading the report, Vladimir thinks about what to do before giving a reply: "Inform the general on the front lines to hold the position he has captured on the elf's land and defend while preparing an offense in case the elf still doesn't accept our ultimatum." Vladimir has no reason to rush things. The guard quickly leaves. Seeing me leave, he turns his eyes to a maid and says, "Fetch me a messenger with paper and a pen, please."

"As you wish, your Majesty," she answers, and he turns to another, "you get the prime minister, and another gets a chair prepared for him." How can Vlad be a Tsar if he does everything himself? That is why people have subordinates. He just waits for his orders to be carried out as he becomes comfortable in his chair.

First came the messenger; he bowed, then gave him the paper and pen. He then begins to write orders to be sent to the army for two purposes. One is to reinforce the border troops, as they will be split and sent to the south to invade Arcana on the north, and another force to invade from the east. Signing the orders, he hands them to the messenger and sends them off. The prime minister was next to arrive. "Have a seat, my minister," says Vlad, motioning for the man to sit next to him.

"Is this appropriate, your majesty?" The man asks, "You have no socks and shoes on, your pant legs are rolled up, and your shirt is slightly open." The man continues.

Vlad ignores his comments. "My prime minister, I wish to conquer Arcada after the elves." What's your opinion?"

"Your Majesty, is that right in terms of the fact that we just met them and you visited them as well on good terms? What about faces?" Vlad scoffs, "Face? what's that? Can it be eaten? Fuck face!" the young tsar curses, "who told them to be neighbors with my Russia? Just bad luck, honestly," he shrugs.

The prime minister is lost for words, as this isn't something a child should say, not to mention this is bad diplomacy. He then thinks of finding a diplomacy teacher for the young tsar. "If that's the case, then by all means conquer them, and I'll prepare ministers in advance to handle the new lands."

"Thanks," Vlad says honestly, "why don't you stay and relax?" He asks his minister, who frowns, "Your Majesty, do you know how much work there is to do?" Vlad shakes his head. No, I have not seen that much except for a few reports."

"That's because I do most of it, your majesty," Vlad nods, "thank you for your service, then, minister." The prime minister didn't reply back and just left the lazy tsar. "Being Tsar is easy," says Vlad as he lounges back in his chair. The prime minister who heard him couldn't help but stumble at his words as he has spent nights doing paperwork for the young tsar.

While Russia and her people are working for the kingdom and to make it prosperous and also trying to live, the one to rule them all and could decide life and death is lazy and even avoids his work. Vlad has already started to outsource his work like the man from a different world he is.
