46_Sirius

"Oh hi, it's THE devil.", said the blue-haired boy with an almost evil-looking grin that made them all shudder.

"I didn't say you were THE devil. You just happened to have blue hair too. I mean why should I complain about you when you are such a nice guy.", Lin who was caught red-handed began to ramble about how she never meant him and hoping to survive a day longer.

"I see, I was wrong.", the boy said with a nod. "So… Why did you run away yesterday?"

Lin who had thought she was saved was caught off guard when he asked about yesterday. She really didn't have any other reason than 'avoiding' the demon that stood before her, but she couldn't say that, could she? So, Lin used her special power, bulsh*tting.

"I was in a hurry because I needed to go to the bathroom. You know, it was really important I thought that I'll do it in my pants. You don't want that, right? Me neither, so I was in a hurry. You understand me, right?"

Lucius and the rest couldn't help but want to laugh hearing her answer. They all knew she was talking nonsense because she explained why she ran away just a minute ago. Not to mention that she was ruining her oh-so-special reputation.

But the boy before Lin didn't seem fazed at all. Showing how he already knew her well enough to ignore her nonsense talk.

"I understand. I think you'll be very embarrassed if you had sh*t in your pants.", he said such an insulting thing without showing any emotions at all. He even looked bored at her reason.

It didn't mean that the boy didn't laugh that the others wouldn't. When they heard his reply they couldn't help but laugh out loud. Some with a louder volume and some with quieter. Even Lucius couldn't help but let a laugh slip by.

Lin who was laughed at was looking betrayed to the people she thought as friends: "I thought we were friends. Instead of protecting me, you guys are making me look like a fool!"

Erebus who was laughing silently couldn't help but wipe a tear away: "If someone was in your place, you would definitely be on the ground from laughing so hard. So, don't act like you wouldn't do what we are currently doing."

Everyone was agreeing with Erebus even Lin couldn't help but admit it.

"But this is totally different!", Lin said still not giving up that her friends wronged her.

"No, it's not.", the boy said. "You are noisy, shut up.", he continued.

Lin stopped talking and began pouting. Showing how wronged she was to the whole world. If she could, she would make a banner saying: I was wronged in bold letters.

Only Lucius came forward trying to make her feel better again. He even did like he never laughed with the rest, like he was innocent.

But before Lucius was done coaxing her, the boy intruded. "So, if you were really in a hurry, why didn't you go back home?"

"*GULP* What are you saying? I did go home yesterday.", Lin said forgetting to stay angry.

"No, you didn't. I didn't see you yesterday and in the morning."

"I was there, I swear!", she said while looking around the class.

"Stop lying and come with me."

"I'm not coming with you!", she shouted.

Before anyone could react she was already running to her escape. She was almost at the window but was stopped by an arm that pulled her further from the window.

"You thought I'll let you escape?", the blue-haired boy said while looking down on her. Lin was a small girl, to begin with, but beside him, she looked even smaller.

"I could try.", she said while shrugging her shoulders.

Everyone in the room was looking at the two people who were walking to the door. One was dragging a small girl while the other was resisting with all her might. She even looked at her friends hoping that they would help her, but she was of course expecting too much from them. Even Lucius didn't try to help her out and only mouthed her the word 'Sorry'.

Lin looked at them with a betrayed look that never disappeared until she couldn't be seen anymore.

She was dragged by the boy until they arrived at a place where no one was. He let her go but didn't let her out of his sight knowing she would escape if she saw a chance.

"Be quick, the class will almost begin.", Lin said now calmer than before.

"There's still 10 minutes, don't be so dramatic. It's your fault arriving so early.", he replied while rolling his eyes.

"Yes yes, sorry for being dramatic.", she said while also rolling her eyes. "Are you going to scold me, Sirius?"

"*SIGH* Did you forget your promise with your brother?"

"No, I didn't"

"Then why are you here.", Sirius said now with a bit of anger visible.

"He asked me not to meddle with Lucius's affairs."

"And what are you doing now?", he asked with a bit of anger.

"Nothing.", Lin answered innocently.

"Nothing!", Sirius shouted. "You think I'm blind!"

Lin only sighed at looked seriously at Sirius. She understood what he meant. Lin never broke a promise and definitely not one that they find very important like this one, but she technically didn't break it.

"I didn't break it.", she said and continued talking so that Sirius couldn't interrupt her. "I just happen to come here for recovery because this is the best place for me, you know. And I'm not planning on dying. I know I act annoying all the time, but I do cherish my life."

Sirius knew what she said wasn't total nonsense like 60% when she opened her mouth, but he knew that what she said wasn't the full truth either.

He decided to let it go and just look after her, so she won't do anything stupid anymore. That was the reason why he was here, to begin with.

"I understand, but don't do anything you can't do, you understand?"

"Yes, I do!", Lin replied while trying to look intimidating and failing hard on that.

"But why are you here?", she asked curiously. She had a feeling, but asking never hurts, right?

"Of course, it's to babysit you."

"Babysit me?!", Lin said dramatically.

"Who else?", Sirius answered while not forgetting to roll his eyes.

"Your sisters and Sky couldn't be here now because they were needed somewhere else."

"I was wondering why they still weren't here to bully me till I surrender. I mean when Mang realized that I did something he said not to do, he would come flying to beat me up till I can't help but apologize.", Lin said while smiling when she thought about her siblings, but also shuddered thinking about the consequences.

"You still call him Mang? His name is Sky for god sake."

"Oh, let it be! You always nit-pick at the smallest thing that exists.", Lin said while walking to her class. "I'm going to class. Bye bye!"

When Lin disappeared from Sirius's his sight, he couldn't help but sigh.

"I really hope she wouldn't do anything stupid."
