Chapter 6: Preparation

"You will go down to the Hazizuz kingdom and make inquiries for me. I want to know if they are also planning on going out to war against the Fiko kingdom and one more thing, make sure you don't get caught." Owen ordered one of his warriors.

"We need to make haste in our preparation towards waging a war against the Fiko, but we still need to be very careful in our plot in order not to fall prey to the plans of Lazaro," Owen said, as he was talking to the elders in the council of Ethinora kingdom.

"Your majesty, don't you think we should talk to the Hazizuz kingdom directly? We need them to join hands with us and be victorious over the Fiko kingdom" One of the elders said.

"As I believed, you knew the history of this land and the old Hakadosh kingdom very well, right? So the answer is no, but I have other plans to defeat Lazaro and his warriors" The king said as he smiled calmly.

"This is striving times for all of us and we need to stick together as one, more than ever before... Go home to put everything in order, in as much as we hope for victory, we need to ensure that, peace, unity, and togetherness is a song that flies all over this kingdom!" Owen said to all elders of Ethinora kingdom as they all departed from the palace.

"When do you think we can launch an attack on the Fiko kingdom?" Eddie asked his most powerful warlords.

"The next full moon will be by the fourth night, and I think that will be favourable for us to launch an attack. They won't be expecting it" one of his warriors said in response to his question.

"Good idea, does anyone else have another suggestion different from what he has said?" The king asked.

"No" they all answered in chorus.

Eddie brought out a map to show them the place where they would start the attack. He mentioned that the point of gathering before the attack would be in the woods outside the entrance of the Hazizuz kingdom on the last night of the full moon.

"We need to be flawless with our plans to overcome Lazaro," Eddie said looking straight into the map, as his finger pointed straight to Fiko's kingdom on the map.

Monae woke up in fright after a nightmare, and she called on the guard at the door to summon all the elders and the kingdom warlords at once.

"I had a dream about the Hazizuz kingdom plotting a war against the Fiko kingdom. The place and day of their attack were shown to me. The Fiko's have already declared war against us and other kingdoms, what do you suggest we do?"

"I would have suggested that we join them, but we all know that is impossible and it is suicide to come in unity with any of the three remaining kingdoms or fight them," one of the elders said.

"But we are about to fight against the Fiko's, and that should also be an abomination, don't you think so?" Another elder said.

"We are not particularly fighting against the Fiko kingdom, but against Lazaro, the evil that treads on the land of the living!" One of the warriors said with rage.

"Silence!"

The eldest among them calls out for calmness, as the place is already turning into chaos with their suggestions.

"Your Highness, what do you suggest we do?" The elder asked Monae with a calm voice.

Monae looked up to stare at all of them, as she remained in silence.

"The Hazizuz kingdom will fight blood for blood on the last night of the full moon and their place of gathering is in the woods after the entrance of Hazizuz kingdom" the spy Owen sent to Hazizuz kingdom said as he was bowing down his head.

"Are you sure of the words you speak?" Owen asked.

"Yes, my lord, I was behind the tent where they gathered and I listened through all their conversation. I would have been left out in the plan of where they will be gathering, not until the king of Hazizuz kingdom said it himself."

"Great job you have done, you will be rewarded handsomely," the king said with a pleasing smile on his face.

As the last night of the proposed attack on the Fiko kingdom drew near, Laura, the wife of Owen was crying in the room alone. Immediately Owen stepped into the room, she tried not to let him know what she had been doing, but it was too late for her to get away with it, as tears wouldn't stop rolling down from her eyes.

"What is the matter, my queen?" Owen asked with a curious look.

"I wish you could just not embark on this war between us and the Fiko kingdom. I don't feel right about it" she says in tears holding tight to the hands of Owen.

"Woman, you have to stop this now! Why are you crying like it is my funeral and who told you, we won't come back victorious?" Owen asked with disdain towards Laura's act.

"No, my Lord, I just don't want bloodshed and I don't want to lose you" she cried out.

"I will return to you, I promise, and this kingdom shall be safe forever!" He reassured her, as he held her in his arms calmly.

After the three nights of the full moon, the day of the attack on Fiko's kingdom finally arrived. All the Hazizuz kingdom warriors gathered as planned in the woods. Suddenly, Eddie the king, saw some flashes of light coming towards them and he was shocked by the voice he heard.

"We come in peace and not to fight against thee! But the enemy of my enemy, I can say is my friend and we just need to get rid of the evil disturbing all once and for all" Owen said, as he matched in with his army of both male and female warriors.

Eddie looked around and nodded his head in acknowledgment of what Owen said.

They were about to take a position and start moving when they unexpectedly heard a female voice behind them.

"Where do you all think you are going without inviting us to the feast?" Monae said with a smile on her face as she rode close to them with her army.

"We may not have the physicality as the Ethinora kingdom or the breath of the beast as the Hazizuz kingdom, but we can heal and we can also fight in our ways.

Let us eradicate the evil disturbing the land of the living at once! And if it is for this one time, we shall march together to bring an end to this evil" Monae said as she lifted her hands and her eyes turned blue...
