3 This can't even be called a scuffle

'How did it come to this..?' Dohnaseek said to himself as he laid in his own blood while looking up at a tattooed man.

This wasn't supposed to be anything dangerous, in fact, this wasn't planned at all. You see, yesterday night Dohnaseek, Kalawarna, and Mitteltm, a group of Fallen Angels who were teamed up with Raynare watched as their supposed leader killed two humans.

The first human was part of the plan, they to awaken his sacred gear as one did during stressful moments but unfortunately, the plan failed and the boy died, but the second human Raynare killed was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and that was supposed to be all there was to it but today, Dohnaseek left their base alone and found one of the humans who should've been dead.

The one alive was the random causality who wasn't a part of the plan but he seemed different now. His face was decorated with tattoos and his eyes were a bright blood red reminiscent of some of the Vampires he had met and if one looked closely at his ankles and wrist they could see more tattoos hidden under his clothing.

Now, it was common knowledge that humans didn't just change overnight but this one apparently had broken that rule and to say Dohnaseek wasn't curious about what happened outside of his death would be a lie, so he made a decision, satiate his curiosity before finishing Raynare's job but things didn't go like that, no, it didn't go anything like that.

-- Sometime prior: Dohnaseek POV --

"This... barrier, explain it to me and I'll let you live," The dead man walking said as he slowly strolled closer to me who had for the first time since this altercation began ignored my instincts.

"You'll let me live?" I said aloud as a smile spread onto my face before I burst out laughing, I had never run into a human so arrogant before, he for whatever reason thought he could hurt me let alone kill me; laughable.

As I laughed I allowed the human to approach me until he stood a few feet in front of me, he was the same height as me standing around 6'4" (or) 193cm but despite that, I continued to smirk at him completely ignoring the chill that ran through my spine earlier.

"You're neither human, shikigami, or cursed spirit... what are you?" The man said as his eyes examined my wings.

"I suppose I can let your ignorant self know since these are your last moments," I said which earned me a chuckle from the man but nonetheless, I continued.

"I'm a Fallen Angel," I said and watched as the human's eyes widened.

"As in one of the Christian Gods Angels who fell from grace?" The human said with his head slightly tilted and his hand on his chin.

"Exactly," I replied smugly still feeling as proud of my identity and race as I was in my youth.

"Then I assume-," The man said before I cut him off, something I would regret dearly later on.

"Yes, the supernatural society exists. From the Norse Mythology, Egyptian Mythology, Angels, Devils, and Fallen Angels, to Magicians, Vampires, Werewolves, Yokai, and Dragons." I said before continuing.

"How does it feel human? To know that the world doesn't simply revolve around your pathetic species, there exists so much more than your little mind can comprehend." I said not sensing my own arrogance but the man I believed to be human didn't mind, in fact, he simply brushed off my words as if any comment I made wasn't of any value to him.

"And what of Jujutsu sorcerers and cursed spirits?" The man asked curiously with an expression that told me he was piecing something together, although I was unsure what it was.

"There are no such things," I replied after thinking if I had ever heard of those things but nothing came to mind.

"Heh..." The man released a small laugh before containing himself and continuing.

"And how old are you?" The man asked causing me to arch a brow, this was the last question I would answer.

"613," I replied while watching the human closely, my answer seemed to confirm something within him.

"Kehahahaha!" The man burst into an almost psychotic session of laughter while slouched over holding his stomach.

"And let me guess, you've never heard of The King of Curses either?" The man said after calming down some.

"No-," I said before being interrupted by his laughter which had erupted again, but this time it was much louder.

"A world that has never known Ryomen Sukuna..." The man said with a tone that caused my body to shake slightly but still, he continued.

"It's truly unprecedented but I suppose it's never too late to rebuild my legacy." The human said with a mix of emotions in his tone but the most prominent one I could sense was thrill, he appeared to be thrilled to "Rebuild his legacy".

"That's enough," I said marking the second time during this altercation that I ignored my instinct's blatant warning whilst also letting him know I was done with this conversation, now I felt it was time to end him, so I suppressed my instincts like a mindless beast. I should've just run with all my might but no, my confidece and trust in my ability was far too overwhelming for me to do that even on my worst day.

"Indeed." The man said in agreement which surprised me some, perhaps he was ready for death.

"Now, how will you entertain me?" The man said after appearing at my side with his arm over my shoulder and a taunting smile on his face... I hadn't seen a thing, not him moving from his spot a few feet in front of me, or him appearing at my side.

Instantly my eyes widened in shock but I knew I couldn't allow myself to stay within his reach so with a step filled with much of my power I leaped away from the human before turning around only to be met with a punch to my face as soon as my eyes had met the spot where I was a moment ago.

"Ak!" I groaned loudly as I hit the ground before trying to push myself up with shock evident on my face.

"Oh c'mon..." The man said with disappointment on his tattooed face as he walked toward me who was seeing two versions of him; I couldn't believe what just happened, a human had struck me and done damage in a matter of moments.

"Get up." The man commanded as he stared down at me who was kneeling with my hands on the ground.

Quickly I regained my bearings and got up just as he said and immediately after I stood up I flapped my wings to fly into the air where I planned to bombard him with light spears that I could only use since I was once an Angel, though it wasn't something unique to me, every Fallen Angel could do it as well.

"Die!" I shouted letting my anger overtake my mind before I launched twelve light spears at the man who was standing with his hands in his pocket, the smile he had on his face when he asked how I'd entertain him was gone, it was as if he'd lost hope in my abilities which angered me further.

BOOM! BOOM!! BOOM!!! BOOM!!!!! BOOM!!!!!! BOOM!!!!!!!

The sound of my light spears exploding and destroying the road, houses, and the things close to it sounded through the once dead silent environment until finally, I stopped my attacks and let the dust settle but to my surprise, no blood or being was seen, the man clearly hadn't been hit.

"That energy you use is quite something." The man said as he stood on the top of a street light with his hands still in his pocket.

"Is that the power the God of the bible gave you?" The man said but before I could respond the man took one of his hands out of his pocket and swiped his finger through the air gently but with purpose and the next thing I knew, my ear was gone and the smirk on the man's face widened.

"Ugh..." I groaned trying to hide my pain which seemed to further amuse the man but I wasn't focused on that, I needed to kill him quickly.

With purpose, I darted toward him as I formed another light spear in my hand and stabbed it at him only for the man to twist his body slightly before extending his hand and placing it on my shoulder before lifting himself up into the air with his feet facing the sky and then bringing both of his feet down onto my back proving his flexibility and causing me to shoot toward the ground with enough force to form a small crater.

"You're slow." The man said as he stood on my back before stepping off.

"....Damn human." I groaned as I once again found myself trying to get up from the ground.

"Human?" The man snorted before kicking me in the side of the head causing me to crash into one of the empty houses near us.

Again I tried to get up while ignoring the fear I felt creeping through my body as I watched the man walking toward me with a bored expression that was only growing, but still, his attitude and temperament only served to further fuel my growing anger, though it wouldn't make a difference in the end.

Quickly the man arrived and by then I had just barely managed to stand but immediately after, he again swiped his finger through the air with purpose but unlike last time when I lost something unimportant, this time I lost something I prized, my wing.

"UGH!!" I screamed in pain as I fell to the ground missing one of my most prized possessions.

Wings were something every winged supernatural being adored, they loved their wings with all their hearts and that applied to me as well, I loved my wings and to have one of them cut off was devastating in every regard.

"YOU BAST-!" I screamed completely enraged but my legs being separated from my body at my waist stopped me dead in my tracks; but before I could release a pained scream from my mouth and curse at him, my jaw disconnected from my body as well making it so that only incoherent jibberish sounded from me.

"Nod your head for yes, shake your head for no." The man said as he stood before me who had gone from completely enraged to petrified in seconds; this entire thing made no sense to me from the very beginning, the man asked odd questions and then completely dominated me in the fight with no apparent effort.

"It's safe to assume you're one of the weakest of your kind, am I correct?" The man said as he stared down at me who was now lying on my back in a destroyed home with no ear, jaw, or legs.

His question shook the petrified me and jogged my memory. There was a time when I was a part of Grigori and during my time there I met many fallen who were far stronger than me, a low-class Fallen Angel but for many reasons, I had pushed that knowledge deep down into my mind to forget it.

I didn't want to know that I had already peaked, I didn't like the fact that I wasn't strong and couldn't grow any stronger, so instead, I built up a false sense of strength; I killed humans to boost my confidence, I killed weak normal humans who couldn't fight back to make myself feel better.

Despite my face having no jaw which in turn allowed my bones and flesh underneath my skin to show while I leaked a profuse amount of blood I nodded weakly in agreement to the man's question, I was one of the weakest of my race in terms of class and at this point I was only hoping he would spare me so I cooperated.

"Good." The man said as a smile once again appeared on his face, he seemed pleased that I wasn't considered strong.

"You've been useful in furthering my knowledge so here's your reward." The man said to me as I thought one line 'How did it come to this..?' before being turned into tens of pieces.

-- Original POV --

As Sukuna gazed down at the Fallen Angel he had just cut into many pieces he thought of the information he had acquired from the man who was far weaker than he had expected, after all, the Fallen Angels he had heard of could destroy could achieve ridiculous feats yet here this man was being a complete and utter disappointment.

With the man dead, the world which had taken a purple hue disappeared and returned to the regular worldly color but with the destruction of the barrier, the fallen angel magic that was in the atmosphere from the man attacks was allowed free which in turn would alert all supernatural being in town very soon.

'So the barrier he used doesn't protect the environment... perhaps it's used to ward off anyone normal from entering the surroundings.' Sukuna said feeling it was a plausible explanation for what he was seeing.

Now while the road Sukuna was walking on before the fallen angel arrived was empty it was by no means a road that nobody would use for the entire time they were fighting so the barrier most likely was used to ward off normal beings and the fact that everything was still destroyed after the barrier broke told him the barrier wasn't meant to protect everything.

Giving the fallen angel one last look, Sukuna continued on his way to the grocery store not caring for the fact that everything was destroyed or that he was leaving behind the dead body of a fallen angel.

'I do wonder just how strong those other beings are.' Sukina thought to himself as he strolled casually down the street, he was particularly interested in Dragons and Gods, those two had to be very strong, or at least he hoped so, he wished to fight strong beings after all.

To be continued...
