-- Fallen Angel POV: Kuoh Town Abandoned Church --

"Dohnaseek's magic signature has disappeared..." Raynare said to everyone in the church room where she and the other Fallen Angels in her small team grouped up to speak.

"What? How?" Mittelt said with shock and confusion on her face, she knew what it meant when one's magic signature disappeared, it was death.

"I know just as much as you Milly," Raynare said with a thoughtful expression on her face as she ran her hands through her dark black hair, she understood Mittelt was flustered so she wasn't annoyed that she asked how Dohnaseek's magic signature had disappeared despite the fact that she was here with her.

With these words spoken all three Fallen Angels in the room fell completely silent, Mittelt was angry someone close to her had died, Raynare was worried this would affect her plans to extract Sacred Gears, and Kalawarna's feelings on the matter were neutral, she was only here because she owed a favor to Raynare, not because they were friends.

"We need to look into this," Mittelt said with a tone that told everyone present that she would do so even if they disagreed with her.

"I know, follow me," Raynare said before exiting the church and was soon followed by two Fallen Angels.

-- Issei Hyoudou POV: ORC Room --

It hadn't been long since I became a Devil under Rias Gremory but during this time I can't with a sound mind say that I've enjoyed myself. At first, I was excited, the supernatural world had always interested me but it was only a myth in my mind but after the incident, my reality turned on itself, the supernatural was real, very real.

It felt as if my wildest dreams suddenly became viable, if the supernatural was real then why couldn't I make my wildest dreams come true? I felt that I could but my start wasn't as nice as I wished it to be.

It began when Yuuto Kiba, the so-called Prince of Kuoh who was only under Ryomen Sukuna, the so-called King of Kuoh, came to get me. We walked down the hallway in complete silence and while every time I saw him he was usually all smiles and laughs now he held a deep scowl on his face, he was clearly angry and I didn't know why.

We made our way to the building behind the school which belonged to the Occult Research Club and while I found it odd that they had an entire building to themselves I didn't make a comment on it.

After arriving in the club room I was met with the image of a few people I recognized. First was Koneko Toujou, the school mascot. Second was Akeno Himejima, one of the top four most beautiful girls in school. Third was Rias Gremory, my personal favorite of the top four. Fourth was Sona Sittri, the Student Council President who had some friends with her that I knew were in the student council.

"You chose this... over him?" Sona said as she directed her attention to Rias who flinched at her words.

"You know I had t-," Rias said trying to defend herself but was interrupted by Sona.

"I don't care. It's time you learn to depend on yourself instead of others for once." Sona said as her anger continued to bubble and grow within her but currently, it wasn't only Sona who was angered; Akeno, Koneko, Yuuto, and Tsubaki, were as well, though only a few could directly express it.

Silence fell in the room as Sona's words fell but the thing to make note of was that nobody was defending Rias, shoot, even Rias herself didn't retort, it looked as if she knew Sona was right and was feeling a mix of negative emotions.

"I don't think I need to see anything else," Sona said before leaving along with Tsubaki and her other friends.

"Sit," Yuuto said to me a few moments after Sona left causing me to sit down on the sofa free of anyone else while Yuuto, Koneko, and Akeno sat at the sofa opposite of me and Rias stayed in her seat behind her office desk.

"President, if I may, I'd like to say something before we begin," Akeno said.

"...Mhm." Rias hummed in agreement.

"Issei Hyoudou," Akeno said to me with a stone-cold tone as her piercing eyes stared at me.

"Y-Yeah..?" I stuttered in response before feeling like an idiot, I wanted to make a cool first impression on the girls but this wasn't that.

"The sacrifice made to save your life was incredible," Akeno said causing my eyes to widen, I wasn't familiar with what she was referring to but I knew 'sacrifice' was never anything good.

"You will take responsibility for that sacrifice. You will fulfill your role to the T because if you don't..." Akeno said as her scowl deepened and lighting began to pop around her violently causing me to back up more but the sofa I was seated on stopped me.

"That's enough Akeno," Rias said trying to play her role as the King of her peerage, and while Akeno did stop she snorted defiantly while doing so.

Again, silence fell in the room but this time it wasn't broken by anyone other than me, I felt the need to gain more information since I was obviously the only one present who didn't know the situation.

"What sacrifice are you referring to? And what do you mean to save my life?" I asked carefully while paying attention to everyone.

"Suki-nii," The quiet Koneko said breaking her silence.

"Suki?" I questioned confused.

"Ryomen Sukuna, he was the sacrifice," Yuuto said as he sat with his arms crossed and a scowl still present on his face.

"Is that why... nobody remembers him?" I asked.

Today I had asked about Yuuma but not even my friends remembered her so then when I asked about Ryomen who I thought I caught a glimpse of last night I was again left confused because nobody remembered him either.

"Yes," Akeno replied.

"What about Yuma? Was she also a, um, sacrifice?" I asked feeling conflicted inside.

"No, she's the one who stabbed you through the stomach and Sukuna through the heart, we had to choose one of you to save, you were chosen," Rias said before continuing to explain how Yuma was a Fallen Angel and how the Supernatural society existed as well as how I was now her servant.

I wouldn't lie and say this wasn't a lot to take in. I was hurt by Yuma's actions and I thought I was hallucinating when I woke up this morning thinking that I had been stabbed by her but apparently, everything from last night was real and everyone here was Devils who had used magic to make everyone forget Yuma and Ryomen.

'It's about time I'm more special than someone else.' I said to myself happy that I was chosen over Ryomen, I had value in the eyes of Rias, more value than that pretty boy and my being alive proved that.

'Perhaps I'll even be able to build my harem... First I'll start with the girls here then Sona and her friends.' I said inwardly as I began to plan how I would make these women mine but the sight of everyone standing up abruptly and looking out the window all at once broke me from my thoughts.

"A Fallen Angel," Akeno said as she felt the Fallen Angel's magic in the air before opening the window and flying out of it looking as if this was her chance for revenge; and soon enough everyone followed behind her leaving me alone in the ORC room.

"Wait up!" I shouted as I made my way outside of the building and began running after them only to see Sona and what I assumed to be her peerage following after Rias.

Unbeknownst to me, a similar scene was occurring throughout Kuoh town and while the other supernatural beings who decided to investigate had different reasons than we, the Devils, it would all lead us to different conclusions.

-- General POV: Ryomen Sukuna --

Currently, Sukuna could be seen walking down a grocery store isle with a cart full of random things ranging from instant noodles, microwavable spaghetti, and frozen chicken sandwiches, to peanut butter, brownies, and triple chocolate fudge ice cream, Sukuna was grabbing anything that caught his eye and his buggy proved that.

"Hm..." Sukuna hummed with a bored expression on his face as he browsed the isles, he was growing more certain that he had gotten everything that piqued his interest as he continued looking.

Sometime later Sukuna could be seen leaving the store with many bags in hand, he had gotten a lot of things and now he was to carry them back to his apartment and while the weight didn't bother him at all, it was simply an inconvenience that should be left to servants, servants which he didn't have currently.

'Perhaps I'll find some along the way.' Sukuna said to himself as he began his walk home not knowing that soon enough he would have the perfect maid and lover; a two-in-one package one could say.

See, many people wouldn't expect it but Sukuna didn't mind having people close to them but for those people, he had requirements because at the end of the day, Sukuna considered himself to be the prize in every close relationship, nobody was better than he was and nobody held more value than he did.

For example, if Sukuna were to have lovers he wished for them to be strong, smart, independent, and worth his time. These requirements and expectations varied from person to person and also depended on what relationship they held with him but ultimately, the final question Sukuna asked himself was; are they worth my time?

As Sukuna made his way back to his apartment he made his way past the place where he and the Fallen had fought and upon doing so he noted that not only was his body gone but the environment was completely fixed, nothing was destroyed anymore.

"Hm..." Sukuna hummed as his eyes roamed the street for anything else out of the ordinary but found nothing.

Continuing down the road Sukuna found himself wondering if he should have eaten the Fallen Angel, he was tempted at first but decided against it for numerous reasons. One reason was that while he had eaten Cursed Spirits, Human Sorsers, and the like, but he hadn't eaten other supernatural beings that were in this place that clearly wasn't the sorcerers Japan, so it was best to proceed with caution when doing so.

Soon Sukuna arrived back at his apartment and after some time he could be seen seated at his dinner table eating random things that would never go together. Some of the things Sukuna ate were great which he could see himself getting again but other things were disgusting and he would never get again but all in all, Sukuna was pleased with the experience.

'I wonder how the flesh of a God would taste.' Sukunna said inwardly as a chaotic smile appeared on his face; that was something he must have, he was sure it would be simply divine.

For the next hour or so Sukuna snooped around his apartment reading books, snacking, flipping through television channels, and playing the PS5. Sukuna was satiating his curiosity about the average things a person of this era did and how it would feel for him to do so but eventually, he got bored.

Finished with the more fun things of the day, Sukuna soon returned to his room where he began training once again, but this time he would remain there for much longer than before. His goal was to regain his perfect control and he wouldn't stop until his goal was achieved, Sukuna was talented and had a huge amount of experience behind him, there was no reason for him to not regain his control, so for the two weeks, Sukuna didn't move even an inch from the bed.
