The Training Ground

<p>The training ground is a place where it is common to see the the palatial soldiers training and maintaining their top form for when they must defend the large royal family. But the uncommon sight is the 16 year old youth training with them. That is the 4th prince Long Chen. He has become a common sight on the grounds since he was merely ten years old. A decently tall young man shirtless but with a strong physique and black hair with tan skin. Considered to be quite handsome by the maids but never shown any interest in lecherous activity to that point. <br/> If he so desired he could live as so many of his fellow royalty do and simply take advantage of his position to live lavishly and arrogantly. But he has always been an odd one. As the 4th born prince but the 2nd born of the Queen. If he so desired he could make a claim to the throne and attempt to rule the vast and powerful empire. But he has always refused to try and take his older brother's Long Tian position as crown prince. He has never cared for the political intrigue or advantages gained from his royal birth. Instead his fascination has always been with martial arts and the martial way since he was ten years old. That is when he met a man with the cultivation realm of True Divinity and instantly did not like what he saw. He saw an arrogant old man who did not carry himself as what Long Chen believed divinity should carry themselves. He refused to believe the man was truly a divine being. So he started to train, and now that he is 16 he is preparing to travel to the neighboring Blue Phoenix empire to enroll with the famous Celestial Dao sect. <br/> His kingdom is a small one subordinate to the Blue Phoenix empire and is called the Green Oak kingdom famous for the green oaks it gets the namesake from. The kingdom lives off the fruit from these trees which are know to be great body cleansing materials for those who consume too many pills and accumulate pill toxins in their body.<br/> As has become the norm Long Chen is training with the soldiers in the regular Imperial fist style. A basic set of fist techniques which were made by the second generation king to strengthen his forces. It is simple yet effective in laying a solid physical foundation for divine cultivation. Long Chen has practiced in the technique since he was 10 years old and was allowed to train with the guards in the training grounds. <br/> He has also cultivated the basic qi condensation realm technique of the imperial family to the 4th level of qi condensing in preparation for the Celestial Dao sect examination. After doing the set of techniques for the 10th straight time he is called upon by a eunuch "Prince sorry for the disturbance but your royal father has called upon you to see him in the main hall.<br/> " Very well let me clean myself and will go with haste. Please inform father to give me a moment". Long Chen quickly went to his quarters and after a quick cleanse put on proper robes for seeing his father. Taking the short walk from his private quarters the prince imagined the talk would be relating to his upcoming trip to the Blue Phoenix empire.<br/> Upon entering the lavish hall the prince saw his royal father on the throne with his mother to his left and his older brother on the right. Walking up to the throne Long Chen then bowed to his father as was custom.<br/> "I came as called your majesty"<br/>His father the king was very similar to him except for the lighter skin due to being in the castle handling matters of state and being almost 50 years old. His father was a decent warrior but not high in cultivation only being in the 2nd state of foundation establishment. But in return his abilities in government have been outstanding and has maintained a great relation to the Blue Phoenix Empire. Especially with the recent betrothal of his brother Long Tian to the 9th princess of the empire. </p>
