1 Beginning after the end ( 1 )

In 2138 AD. and the term DMMO-RPG does not only exist, but has also become commonplace.

The acronym of <Dive Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game>, describes an interactive game where one can play in a virtual world like in the original world, by connecting a stand-alone console with nanointerface neurons - an intracerebral nanocomputer network consisting of the core of cyber and cyber nanotechnology. As if you entered into a real game.

In the midst of the many DMMO-RPGs developed, there is one very shining title.

Yggdrasil.

It is a game that was released by a respected Japanese game developer 12 years ago to be exact in 2126.

No matter what DMMO-RPG game is compared, Yggdrasil is a game that offers players very high freedom.

The number of classes formed at the base of the game easily reaches 2000 when you add normal and high classes.

All classes have a maximum level of 15, meaning that players can have at least 7 or more classes to reach the top of the overall level of 100.

Furthermore, you can feel a variety of classes as long as you meet the overall conditions. although it's inefficient, it's possible to reach level 100 with one profession if you want.

In other words, this is a system where it is impossible to have truly identical characters unless you want to intentionally.

This level of freedom is also applied to visuals. If you use tools to create something that is sold separately, you can change the appearance of weapons and armor, interior data, visual characters and detailed settings of the player's house.

What awaits the gliding players for adventure in such a world is a colossal map. The Nine Worlds consist of Asgard, Alfheim, Vanaheim, Nidavellir, Midgard, Jotunheim, Niflheim, Helheim and Muspelheim.

A vast world, countless classes and fully customizable visuals.

This game ignited the spirits of experts from Japanese players and caused a phenomenon that would later be referred to as "visual popularity".

With the explosion of popularity behind it, Yggdrasil achieved a level of success where Yggdrasil and DMMO-RPG were considered the same in Japan.

- Too bad, that's the story of past.

In a magnificent room, there is a very large round table. The table looked like it was made of shiny white marble that reflected crystal light from the ceiling.

Around it, 32 chairs were lined up, each chair filled with people wearing shiny iron armor. The knights, who have diverse appearances, some use red iron armor, some are gold, and so on.

Each knights has a sword hanging on their waist, they sit with a respectful and upright attitude, as if they were machines that have no soul, even though that is the true form of them.

These knights are NPC or Non Player Character. They are all artificial characters created by players at Yggdrasil. NPCs don't have expressions on their faces because they have no soul or emotions, they will only move and act according to the programs that have been implemented in their character settings.

But of the 32 chairs that surround the round table, there is one chair that is not filled.

Inside the room, there is a stairs that leads to the top and is covered by a red carpet with gold stripes on the edge. The stairs led to a chair that seemed to be a throne.

And the throne is not empty, it's occupied by someone. A woman who is very beautiful, people might be stunned if they see her face, her face is elegant and firm, like carved from jade. The gaze emanating from her green eyes was sharp as if she could cut something just by using that gaze.

She wore a shiny Silver Armor and looked like it radiated its own light, her blue robe flowed from her shoulders to her feet, and her valuable assets could be seen very clearly, it might be at the F-cup level. And the golden crown which affirms its status is placed majestically on her head.

The woman looked like a perfect cold queen from a kingdom, very beautiful and attracting woman.

However, if someone enters the throne room, their first concern might not be the woman, but an object that floats as if it were not exposed to the law of gravity on it.

That thing is the embodiment of the greatness itself. The shape is difficult to explain In words, it's like a spear with a circular blade that forms like a drill, the spear continues to rotate according to its axis so as to produce a slow spin that emits light.

The bar are silver and the handles are gold and blue, the light emitted by the spear makes anyone who sees it can only admire its existence.

The woman looked towards the time column at the top right of her view, it could be done because the woman sitting on the throne was not an NPC, but a Player of Yggdrasil's DMMO-RPG.

'He is late ...'

The woman thought and right after she thought like that, a light appeared on the empty chair surrounding the round table, even though Yggdrasil did not allow it player to express emotion or something in the game, there was a hint of happiness and longing from the woman's gaze.

The light then gave rise to the figure that had just arrived, it seemed to emerge from empty air, and he was a player.

"Sorry for being late, Esmeralda-san."

The figure has the form of a human even though the truth is not like that. The races inside Yggdrasil are divided into 3 division categories: classical, humanoid races such as humans, dwarfs and elves; a half-human race with ugly faces like goblins, orcs and ogres being chosen because of their physical strength; and the Heteromorphic race which has higher monster abilities and status than other races, but there are limits in other aspects. If a high-level race of the three is included, the total reaches a total of 700 races.

And the player who was sitting in an empty seat right now was one of the players who had a high level of race in the Heteromorphic division, namely Phantom race.

A mixed race which, as the name suggests, has a true form as a shadow ghost race, whose special characteristic is the union in shadow.

"You're late Nash, didn't you promise to arrive at 11:00 p.m.? You're 30 minutes, 41 seconds late."

"I'm sorry Esmeralda-san, my mom woke up from her sleep earlier, you already know my mom's condition and I have to take care of it for a while, so I'm a ' bit ' late."

"Ah, is your mom's condition gotten better? How about the chemotherapy?"

"Well, it's not better or worse, it's just like that and there hasn't been any happy development."

"I see, I'm feel pity for your mom, I hope she can successfully face the cancer and return to normal activities"

"Um, thank you."

Although they chatted with each other from a considerable distance, but their voices were heard clearly because of the quiet room.

After that the atmosphere became quiet between the two of them, no one spoke and let out a word, not because they were in awkward situation, but because they were rethinking the various things that had happened in this room, in this place.

Nash and Esmeralda were not in the same guild actually, not from them, Esmeralda the Camelot Queen was the leader of one of the Famous Guilds in Yggdrasil, Glorius Pendragon.

A large enough Guild that has dozens of LV 100 player members in it. Esmeralda from the start was an King Arthur Otaku. Someone who is obsessed with the legend of King Arthur himself, that's the real truth about Esmeralda.

That's why she also imitated the Legend of the Round Table Knight in the story of King Arthur into Yggdrasil in the form of an NPC. The character arrangement, appearance, background, and all data from the NPC was inspired by the story of King Arthur.

Meanwhile, Nash is a solo player. Did not have a guild and was not affiliated with any party, before he met with Esmeralda.

The relationship between the two is a friend in the game, but not a normal friend, they are joined in a party with 3 other members. The Legendary Party contains 5 High-level Players that are even included in the 30 Strongest Players in YGDRASSIL.

The party that can kill World Enemy only with the five of them, that is the relationship between Nash and Esmeralda. They both and 3 other people have shared joy and sorrow together in this party.

Even though they didn't clearly name themselves, the players in Yggdrasil called them the Five Pillars of the World. The name is quite embarrassing according to Nash.

Members of the Five Pillars of the World are, Esmeralda, Nash George Faust, Kirameki Man, FireisHot, and JackLock77. The five players belong to the top 30 players in Ygdrassil and each class is based on different weapons, Esmeralda is a Spear user, Nash is a Dagger User, Kirameki Man is a Sword user, FireisHot is a Magic Caster, and JackLock77 is a Bow user.

Initially, none of the five of them started making NPCs and so on, but at one time, the Guild that Esmeralda led, Glorius Pendragon experienced an internal conflict that caused them to disperse. Assets such as territories and guild items fall into the hands of Esmeralda. Only players' personal items are returned to their previous owners.

These assets include the headquarters of the Glorius Pendragon guild, a castle-shaped dungeon, the Holy Castle Camelot.

In addition, the Guild Weapon also fell into the hands of Esmeralda, and it was a spear floating in the throne room before. The name of the spear was taken from the legend of King Arthur himself, the Final Spear that radiated the light of destruction to the world, Rhongomyniad.

Other assets are in the form of several world items, and guild items which are currently stored in the Camelot Treasure Room.

After the guild broke up, Esmeralda was a solo player and finally she met Nash at a Certain Quest, that's when their friendship began. The two of them then meet with JackLock77, then Kirameki Man, and finally FireisHot.

Holy Castel Camelot and all the assets of the Glorius Pendragon guild's money fell into the hands of Esmeralda and later became an asset to their party.

They began to build and develop the Holy Castel Camelot, then made an NPC together. Although Nash did not do it because he was not at all interested in it, he was even more interested in developing the palace structure and its contents.

Then 31 NPCs were formed which filled a unit of Camelot's guardian knights, whose name and structure were re-inspired by the legend of king Arthur. Knights of Round Table.

And Esmeralda was the one who made the most NPCs among the four of them, in total she made 24 Knights, more than half of them, maybe because she was an Otaku King Arthur.

Nash then glanced at his queen, and then said.

"How about we go outside for a moment to breathe fresh air, even though the air is only an imaginary reality generated by micro waves that are sent to our brains."

"All right, it's boring to be here anyway."

Esmeralda then made a queen's posture asking for her guards' hands, her gaze quite cruel to Nash, because even her attitude was very embarrassing if Nash thought about it, it was like a child playing a game of king and queen.

However, Nash could not blame her. The realistic feeling inside Yggdrasil is extraordinary, it is already at another level from other DMMO-RPG games. So it's only natural that there are some people who can't distinguish between the real world and the virtual world.

"Be well, your majesty."

In an instant, Nash had appeared in front of Esmeralda, it was one of the skills he got from his race, Phantom. [Embodiment of Shadow] is a skill that allows Nash to move as he pleases, such as instant teleportation to a place that has a shadow as long as it is still within Nash's visibility.

"What about the view from the top of the castle?"

"That is your will, my queen."

Nash took Esmeralda's hand, then in an instant, they both disappeared from the throne room, leaving only 31 Knights who did not budge and remained seated in their chairs.
