1 Meeting Alice and the Little Miss

Struggling to just to stay alive. Money runs everything, without money you will be nothing. You need money in order to live, thus, humans struggle to acquire money because money runs life.

Clyde Helsword is one of the persons who struggle to live. Unlike others, he has an unfortunate life. He lost his family due to a car accident when he was still 7 years old.

His other relatives are too far away from him so live all alone. There is a pension from the insurance of his mother and father so he does not have to bother about money at all. He also goes to school because he also has a scholarship.

His life is a lonely one with no family he can rely on. He also has a small circle of friends and some of them are fakes. He had chosen to distance himself away from society and he became a loner.

At first, his life can still be called ok or average but one day something happened that changed his life. The insurance company who gave Clyde a monthly pension gone bankrupted. This gave Clyde a heavy blow. There was no other choice but to engage in a part-time job. And because of the part-time job, he can't focus at school at became the reason why he lost his scholarship. He was already 18 by this time.

|Do heavens really hate me that much?| He asked himself. He has nowhere to go with an empty stomach. He was homeless, no food, no money and he is just nothing in the society.

Money, money, money, oh mighty money, why did you become the god by all of these people? They work for you to the point they forget being a human! They live their happy life, many expensive accessories, too many cars, grandiose houses, and many other expensive things but can't even help a single charity? Can't even help a lone man? Haaaays. Why did money become the center of all things?

This thought keeps running on Clyde's thought. |I need money! I need money!|

Then he a certain lady caught his attention. The lady wore an expensive dress while walking on the street. Golden rings on her finger with a diamond jewel embedded on it, necklaces on her neck with a different colored stone embedded on it, earrings swaying on her ears as she walks that is worth bundles of money and a bag that is totally expensive clinging on her shoulder all caught Clyde's attention.

|I need money to live! I can't buy food without money! I need money to buy a house so that I won't feel the cold nor heat anymore! Money! MONEY! MONEY!!|

He rushed toward the girl and grabbed her bag along with her necklaces. He then ran away.

"THIEF!! THIEF!!" The lady shouted it again and again. Law enforcers rushed to her way. She told them the details and the direction where Clyde ran into. The Law enforcers are pursuing Clyde to subdue him and jail him because of the crime he made.

|RUN! RUN! RUN!| He ran and ran just to lost the Law enforcers but to no avail, they still found him and pursue him.

Until he reached a dead end and way cornered. |SHIT! WHAT TO DO!? WHAT TO DO!? |

"Turn over what you've stolen and don't resist and come with us." The law enforcer said.

His mind turned blank and the devil in his heart said |KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL!|

Instead of returning the things he stole, he grabbed a knife at his back and rushed towards a law enforcer near him. The law enforcers are ready to shoot at him anytime so the instant that he showed the knife and dashed, he was instantly shot at his stomach and chest.

He fell down and blood came out of his wounds and spurted at his mouth. "Call an ambulance!" Said by one of the Enforcers.

|Ahhhhh. I will die just like this. So sad, so sad. Heavens really hated me. I don't even feel pain. In my next life, I will be rich, strong and lucky.| He then lost his life.

"Sir, this man is already dead."

"ARRRGHHH! Where the hell am I jail? It doesn't look like a jail at all. Maybe I'm….. oh shit! I forgot I died." Clyde found himself

He found himself surrounded by trees and bushes. "Ohhhh. Heavens seems so peaceful. Hmm. Hhmm." He nodded, "Everyone was telling the truth, heaven is the paradise of every human." Then smiled carved up in his lips.

|SYSTEM ACTIVATED!|

"WHAT THE FUCK! WHO IS THAT?" He was totally startled. He immediately scanned his surrounding finding someone who talked just now.

|I am the sentience of the system and you can call me Alice. I am just inside you and you can only talk to me mentally.|

"Ohhhhh." He immediately regained his composure after he knew what is happening. Although he was still confused, he got the main idea of what is truly happening.

|Will you explain it further?| Clyde commanded. He is walking down to a path.

|Yes, Master. I am your system. I, the system, activated due to your strong will when you transmigrated.| Alice the System explained.

|Transmigrated?| He was confused.

|When you died, you died back on earth your strong soul entered a strange stage and cause your soul to be transmigrated on the world where a person with a similar name and physical features and you stole his body. You STOLE his body like what you did on that lady's valuable things?|

|You knew that much?| Clyde was shocked by what he discovered.

Clyde blushed on what he heard. Then he said nothing for a while. He keeps on treading the path. |What is this world anyway?|

|This is the world of Slentoia. It is a world where magic exists. Although magic exists in this world, magical beasts also present in this world making it dangerous especially now that you are in a forest.|

|Ohhhhh! This is my ideal world but wait, did you say magical beasts? Especially that I am in a forest?| then a loud roar reverberated in the forest. Clyde felt his whole body turned to ice. Then after the roar, he heard a shout, "HELP!" and it came from the direction where he heard a roar and it was the voice of a girl.

He slowly waded through the bushes. He hid totally. He then saw a large black wolf with a horn slowly walking towards a girl who was wounded on her ankle, incapable of running away.

|You said that this is a world of magic right?| Clyde asked Alice immediately.|

|Yes, it is.| Alice answered him.

|Is this body I possessed can wield magic?| Clyde asked desperately.

|This body is still at Energy Condensation level 2 but it is sufficient enough to kill that Horned Wolf.| Alice explained.

|What are the skills he is able to use?|

|Fireball, Water blast, quickstep, body enhancement, earth wall, and wind blades. This is just the basic skills for Energy condensation level 1. He leveled up not too long ago.|

|Ohhhh. Can you display his memories when he used his skills? Is that possible?| Clyde was a total foreigner in this fantastical world. He didn't even know what are the so-called natural energy and powers in this world along with the way to use the skills.

|Displaying in 3 2 1!| Then images flooded into his brain. How to use these techniques, how to apply power in these techniques and other tricks flooded into his brain.

He then concentrated at his right palm and natural energy gather at his palm and a fiery ball appeared. Then, he also concentrated at the same time at his left palm and a globe of water appeared.

|What the hell! Why am I so unlucky?! I hope someone will save me…| she keeps on falling back until she falls to the ground but still continues to fall back away from the Horned Black Wolf. Despair covered her every being but still refuses to accept what is going to happen.

"SOMEONE SA-" her shout was interrupted and a man with fire on his right hand and water on his left appeared.

Shock appeared on her face and hope replaces the despair she felt. But she was still afraid.

Clyde quick stepped in front of the girl. |Do I look that heroic Alice?| He jokingly asked Alice.

|Hmmmm. Based on your memory, it should be.| Alice answered in full seriousness.

|UGHHHH! Cant this system's sentience cant take a joke?| He lamented.

|hehehehe. It is only a joke master.| Alice again used her electronic weird laugh.

Clyde gaped because of this sudden escalation. He concluded that Alice has no sense of humor at all.

"Don't worry little miss. I am here to save you!" Then he used quickstep and appeared right in front of the Horned Black Wolf and he clenched his hand and the fire in his palm covered his entire fist and he throws an uppercut to the wolf.

The wolf flew backward because of the force. The wolf is still in the mid-air when Clyde used quickstep again and appeared atop of it and he clenched his left hand and water enveloped his left fist. He smashed the wolf mid-air and it came crashing down at a high speed and the ground cracked and a crater appeared.

While he is still in the mid-air, he threw a barrage of fire and water to the wolf and it howled and died. He then used quickstep back in front of the lady.

Quickstep is a sudden burst of energy on the feet that enable its user to move at high speed and allow its user to step mid-air.

"Are you ok Little Miss?"
