Rumors part 1

"Alyssieeeeeeeeeeeee! Dove! Guys wake up. You need to see this." Hannah said as she ran to knock on both Alyssa's and Dove's rooms.

" Go away," Dove said. 

" I second that," Alyssa mumbled. They slept very late last night because it was their monthly game night date night.

" No like you guys need to wake and see this before we get calls from home. Gosh! Father is gonna kill me!" Hannah shouted while standing in the hallway across their bedrooms. 

" Gosh! How could things go astray just when we were about to return home?! Are you guys listening, wake up right now or I swear I'll fetch cold water for each of you!" Hannah anxiously shouted 

Rustling and steps could be heard from inside Alyssa's room. Alyssa opened her door, " How can you be so energetic so early?" Alyssa asked while still half-asleep. 

" Sober up Alyssie. Look, look at this. We are all over social media. The most searched hot topic right is, "Areela rumors about the 3 pearls, Falls's heiress, Kim's only Heiress ( Hannah) and the Andrews youngest hieress ( Melissa aka Dove)". 

Bam! Dove fell off her bed. 

" Are you okay Dove?" Hannah asked after hearing the sound but instead of answering Dove rushed to her door opened it and read the article herself. 

" It is rumored that the three hieresses who departed six months ago for an exchange program ended being tangled with male doctors from the hospital they are volunteering at which is the biggest military in the world, Areela military institute." Dove read softly.

" The ladies were spotted with doctors from the different departments they were working in during the six months..." She continued 

" It's from a publication in this country." Dove concluded after she was done reading the article. 

" What in the world are they talking about? An affair? A rumored relationship? What? Where we get the time to do that? Are they kidding?" Alyssa said totally flustered 

" Uhm, they are ridiculous rumors." Hannah added, 

" Yeah, the question is how did we catch fire like this?" Dove said as she scrolled to the bottom of the article.

* gasps* 

" Guys, look. There are pictures at the bottom." Dove said 

" Look, this was me when I went to the malnourished children drive with Dr Yus ( Dr Ace's intern). This is a picture of Alyssa at the Toshe Rock restaurant and Dove, who were you with here?" Hannah said as she recognized the pictures that were used to support the rumors about them on the internet. 

" He is also an intern from the department. It is nothing serious." Dove said as she averted her eyes.

Hannah crossed her arms and looked at Dove and said" Lies! You are hiding something. What is it?"

" I am not lying." Dove said 

" Hannah is right, when you lie you unconsciously bite your nails." Alyssa said eyeing Dove 

Sigh 

" Well, he tried to know..." Dove started but felt embarrassed to finish her sentence. She exhaled deeply then said, " He tried to show his interest in me." 

" What? So he hit on you?" Hannah said more bluntly 

" Language Hannah." Dove reprimanded.

" It is the same thing. Why did you not tell us?" Hannah asked Dove 

" I did not think that it was relevant since I refused anyway," Dove said as she shrugged her shoulders.

" We are friends nothing that happens in your life can ever be irrelevant to us," Hannah said sounding very offended and sad that Dove said that. 

" Sorry Han. I thought that since it was not important there was no reason to mention it." Dove said once again

" But you do not share important stuff with us as well. Remember you have a fiancé we did not know about until a few weeks ago." Hannah said 

" Han, we spoke about this." Dove said 

" No but it is true. You hardly share anything with us nowadays. Don't you trust me anymore? You used to come home late and we did not ask because we thought you would say something but you did not." Hannah exclaimed. Hannah was overwhelmed by the sudden news of her rumors and she knew that she was going to be in trouble because of them. 

" That is enough guys! Hannah this is not the time. We need damage control.How many views does that article have?" Alyssa asked 

" Million or so." Hannah answered

" Dove can you pull this one off? Can you remove the article from there?" Alyssa asked Dove. 

Dove shook her head. "There is not much I can do about the article since it has so many views. If anything we might need to depend on our families to get it removed from the site." 

Alyssa who was pacing up and down the hallway said, " No that is not an option for now. Hannah's family is very strict and we should try to get out of this without making anyone think that the rumors are true." 

"What should we do?" Dove asked as she leaned against her bedroom door. 

" How dare they?!" Hannah sa=uddenly exclaimed 

" What is wrong now?" Dove asked as she rubbed her temple

" they are trash talking us." Hannah said then continued to read the article.

" I bet they did not even apply for those spots in the exchange programs." 

 " Yeah, they got those from their disgusting affairs." 

 " Have they got no shame, our country welcomes them and this how they repay us? How disgraceful!" 

 " Go back to your country! You are smudging our Areela with your bad reputation." 

 " Can't believe that young ladies nowadays are like this!" 

 " Please do not compare fine young ladies in our country with the likes of them!" 

" That is enough, Han. Stop reading that." Dove said as she took the iPad away from Hannah to prevent her from reading the comments below the article. 

" There is no proof but they are already attacking us." Hannah exclaimed as she was frustrated with the situation. 

" Okay, Who is the journalist who wrote that article?" Alyssa asked 

" Rosaline Matthew." Dove said, " Why?" 

" Because we are suing, that is why." Alyssa said as her eyes turned very cold. To this both Hannah and Dove were initially shocked then their shocked faces turned to smirks. 

" Okay, I will get it done since I have attonery connections that won't risk our parents finding out." Hannah said. 

" I will contact some of my hacker friends and see if we won't try and interfere with the traffic the article is creating on social media." Dove said. Dove was a secret hacker and she used her skills to help her friend s out as long as it was legal and not against the law. 

" Alright, then I will deal with the institute because I am sure they are going to give us problems." Alyssa said 

" Alright! Damage control is underway!" Hannah said as she pumped her fist in the air.

Alyssa and the girls did not have the luxury of going anywhere because of the damage control they were busy with. Alyssa was busy answering calls from reporters, friends and colleagues from Areela and denying the rumors. 

" Hello, the rumors are not true." Alyssa said

Laughter could be heard from the other end of the call, " You are lucky this is all we are doing to you. This is just a warning." The caller with an unknown caller id said. The caller had masked his or her voice that it was difficult for her to identify who it was.

" Who are you?" Alyssa said coldly 

" Just be sure to not implicate him or else I personally make your life a living hell." The caller said 

" What? I do not have time to play mind games so I will end the call." Alyssa said and immediately ended the call. 

Ding, seconds later her phone message notification went off. 

Alyssa read the message which was written in bold, " STAY AWAY OR FACE THE WRATH OF THE YSH." The message came with images of Alyssa and Calix at the fountain, amusement park and outside the restaurant.

Alyssa scoffed and said, "They even stalk him? They are bold. So the mysterious caller is from that groupie, huh? " 

" Dove has diverted the traffic the article was getting and I have ffound us a good lawyer." Hannah said as she walked into the Tv room where Alyssa was.

" What? What is it? Why do you look like you are going to murder someone?" Hannah asked curiously because it was the first time she saw such an expression on Alyssa's face

Sigh. 

" Dove can you come in here quick when you are done?" Alyssa shouted

" Sure. I am done." Dove shouted back and w[made her way to theTV room

" What's up? Why do you look like you are planning something you shouldn't even be considering?" Dove asked

" Hey! My point exactly! High-Five." Hannah said to Dove who ignored her.

" I am sorry guys. It seems like I have implicated you guys because the rumors might have been started by Dr Evans's groupie." Alyssa said all in one breath 

" What The YSH or YHS or something group?" 

" Yes, I received a call from an unknown id and then a message directly from them so I assumed they did all of this." Alyssa said 

" Are they kidding?! They are ruining our reputation and the livelihoods of the doctors we were rumored with all for some petty childish group? How old are they? Urgh!!!" Hannah raged 

" Don't worry about it. We fought back against those who trash talked us and neutralized the situation on social media. Has the school called?" 

" No, not yet. Please send our regards and appreciation to your cyber friends." Alyssa replied to Dove. Dove simply nodded in response.

Ring ring ring 

" Hello?" Alyssa answered her phone

" It's me Bianca. Girl, be on your toes because you stepped on someone even I can not afford to offend. Be careful. I was not supposed to tell you this but I will anyway, She has inside help because you know, you are a non-M (military) student. I am telling you this because ai could keep it to myself after I investigated and found that you guys are innocent. " Bianca said all in one breath

" Thank you Bianca. It means a lot." Alyssa said 

" Do not worry, we Non-M must stick together. And don't worry I will speak to the rest of the exchange students so that we can help you guys in any way we can." Bella reassured Alyssa and the other two overheard the conversation leading to Hannah saying this, " Put her on loudspeaker." 

" What? No, that is rude." Dove exclaimed 

" It is okay. She is Hannah Kim, right? I would Like to speak to her." Bianca said to Alyssa while answering Dove's exclamation.

"See, she is cool with it," Hannah said to Dove while sticking her tongue out. 

" Whatever." Dove retorted uninterested 

" And that must be Melissa Andrews, heiress to the best jewellery line company in Country C." Bella said proudly \

" YOu know, what you are doing is very creepy." Alyssa said as she put her on loudspeaker 

" No it is not. You are amazing. How do you do that?" Hannah shouted excitedly. 

"See, Alyssa. There are people who appreciate my research." Bella said 

" Yeah because she is your kind." Dove replied unconsciously and then covered her mouth. " Sorry, that was rude of me. I am used to doing that to Hannah," she explained 

Bianca simply laughed and said, " No worries. I am glad to have met someone of my kind."
