End of flashback, rotation departments assigned.

"No, you saw him shirtless?! Unbelievable." Hannah stated as she giggled while covering her mouth. 

" So?" Dove said 

" Yes, tell us, tell us," Hannah said as she stood up to dance happily in circles.

" I do not get it, so what?" I said to both of them

Hannah facepalmed," Is he hot? Like hotter than him with a shirt on?" Hannah said as she went back to giggle like a little child. Honestly, I wonder what is going on in her imagination...it is probably a good thing that I won't find out, like ever. Sigh. 

" I did not look, okay? I turned around the meet I went through the door so I did not see anything." I stated. " Besides, what's there to be since when the guy is so annoying, I do not get his on-and-off vibes. It is exhausting." I said and slouched over and supported my head on my hand. 

" How disappointing, you do not want to tell us but that is okay. It is totally understandable that you want to preserve some memories for just the two of you." Hannah said with a knowing smirk and looked at Dove and said, " Right, D?" 

Dove who was playing with a pillow said, " I told you that there was bound to be something." 

They are infuriating. 

" Uh-huh, did you guys forget the part he said all those awful things?" I reminded them because seemingly they forgot certain details of the story I relayed to them just now.

"Of course, we cannot forget his offenses but his other actions overwrote all that." Hannah said with a grin. "Like he is young and a surgeon already and he is even "very handsome". " She added as she wiggled her eyebrows at me. 

" Now it makes sense. You were emotional earlier and I bet it is because of the conversation you had with the surgeon, right?" Dove stated. 

" No, absolutely not." I promptly refused, how could I allow a stranger to affect my emotions particularly him? No way.

" That is suspicious." Hannah said in a low tone but we still heard it. I bet she said this because I answered way too quickly. I gave her 'the look' because they were just messing with me right now. I do not know what they are seeing. 

" I still can not believe he said that." gushed Hannah as she averted her gaze from mine and quickly changed the topic to the previous one " I mean, he called himself handsome and he gave you his first name instead of his surname as per the norm of a military institute." she added then she almost caused my ears to burst " Ugh!! This is so exciting, catching a sweet romantic story on a school trip." She screamed 

"I am so excited, we need to go shopping and show him a different side of you," Hannah said as she completely ignored what I had just said. She is a hopeless romantic.

" No, on a serious note Alyssie, you were emotional because of him right?" Dove said as she brought back a topic I thought we wouldn't discuss again not because they were but because it was just plain offensive. I met the guy a few hours ago! Whatever it is they saw developed faster than any love-at-first-sight scene I've had the horror of witnessing in all the movies I've watched.

" I thought Hannah buried that topic, "I said eyeing Hannah

" Ignore the idiot." Dove retaliated 

" Hey! Now that's offensive right there." Hannah exclaimed with a proud grin which made it hard to believe that she was 'offended'. 

" Well?" Dove asked completely ignoring her friend. 

Sigh. "No," I said firmly

"Really? You are not the type to be roped in by stray emotions but you seemed a little all over the place today," Dove noted.

" Hey!" We were both startled when Hannah exclaimed loudly looking like she had just discovered something.

"Dove is right, Alyssie you are just like your older sister only without the poker face, you do not show your emotions a lot." She said with a sheepish smile, " So tell us the truth." She added.

Alyssa exhaled loudly. " I mean it, If it is anything then it is probably that I am tired and tiredness and keeping emotions in check do not go hand in hand," I stated. 

Both Hannah and Dove only looked at Alyssa and did not say anything because they saw that Alyssa actually believed her own statement. 

' It does not mean it is true though.' Hannah thought as she sighed 

'I will let her be for now because I won't the argument.' Dove also concluded in her thoughts.

Beep, beep. Dove's phone beeped. The phone interrupted the two ladies who were in deep thought.

Dove checked it and looked disappointed. 

" Hannah, come look." She said in a sad tone

" Aww, come on. They are ruining things!" Hannah said with a pout. 

" What is happening?" I asked while habitually touching my forehead.

" The rotation list is out already." Dove said as she waved her phone towrds me. " You are in pediatrics, Hannah is in Orthopaedics and I am in the emergency department. " Dove said while going through the list they had just sent her because she is one of the group leaders we chose. It was a silly way to elect a leader but we did it anyway, we played rock-paper- scissor. 

" Oh, is that so? Then why do you look disappointed?" I asked curiously.

" What do you mean "why"?!" Hannah exclaimed yet again. " The surgeon is not part of the list of our instructors and we thought you would be a part of his team." Hannah said as she sat on the bed and covered her face with a pillow. 

" And why would you guys think that? " I asked

" Because you guys have chem...ahem, I mean synergy. Dove said which was out of her character. It is Hannah's fault. 

" We have yet to work together, where did you see that 'synergy'? You what forget it, I need to get you guys to the optometrist to get your eyes checked. You seem to be seeing a delusional reality." I said 

" And it is worrying because you are both this way, Hannah you infected Dove," I said 

Sigh, " What a romantic delusion it is." Hannah commented.

Dove facepalmed.
