attacked, who was their target part 2

Alyssa rushed out of the room like her depended on it. When she got out she was immediately swamped by her friends' worried faces. At first, she was stunned because she had completely forgotten about the near-death experience she had and it was all thanks to that man! 

" Are you okay?" Hannah asked as she anxiously looked all over Alyssa to find any injuries

" Did you get hurt?" Dove asked holding a first aid kit.

" No guys, I am fine. You do not have to worry." I answered. To be honest my thoughts were not here. I mean, he is so confusing. Why would he do that?! One minute he is hot then the next he is cold and I do not even know if I should approach or not. 

" What? What is it? Why are you frowning? See? I told you Dove, she must be hiding an injury." Hannah said as she saw Alyssa frowning. 

" Huh?" I replied unconsciously 

" You seem a little bit distracted, are you sure you are okay?" Dove asked 

" Oh no. I am fine. Just a little distracted like you said." I said 

The girls were so in their own world worried about Alyssa that they did not notice that Dan and his men had entered the room and discussions that involved them and their safety were underway. Dan then exited the room and announced to the girls, " You can not leave the city as planned." 

" pardon?" the girls responded in shock 

" We were attacked and we do not know as yet who exactly their target is so, we need to think about your safety." 

" I am sorry, but do you get what you are saying?" Hannah said 

" Yeah, we have other commitments and canceling..." Dove stated but Alyssa completed her sentence before she could 

 " Would be impossible." 

" How so?" Dan asked

" We have things to patch up at Areela. The deal was to come here accompanying Dove to her meeting with you, aside from that, we did not sign up for any of this." Hannah explained 

" Besides we paid a lot of money for our outfits for the dance ." Hannah grumbled 

" Also who says that the people who attacked were looking for us?" Dove asked,

" We just got caught up in all of this." she added 

" So you are saying that we have enemies and you do not?" This time it was Calix who asked with a chuckle after he exited the boardroom to join the others.

" Well doctor, I can assure you that you are currently talking to the nicest people who are not only nice but innocent." Hannah said as she lifted her head in a proud pose.

Calix laughed and this caught the girls off gaurd especially Dove and Hannah because they found him intimidating. His laugh was so genuine as it rambled through the air and was very magnetic. The two girls found themselves thinking, ' he is handsome'.

 " I see,I could tell from your friend's demeanor over there." Calix said as he looked at Alyssa 

" Oh she is on another level." Hannah said grinning at Calix. She felt that the man before her had some sort of charm that made her wanna keep sharing things and she did!

"She is the baby of our little group. She is the cherry on top and the sweetest one among all of us. she never even dated let alone have her first ki.... mmmm." Hannah said but was then blocked off by a horrified Alyssa because she was shring too much! Dove was not that shocked because it was within her expectations for Hannah to say nonsense in front of strangers just because they were handsome. 

" Aww, you cut her off while she was about to share the best part." Calix teased Alyssa who turned red from top to bottom. She then glared at Hannah who looked at her with puppy eyes and a pouted mouth.

 Dan who was observing the interaction from the side was very shocked at the demeanor this demon ( referrig to Calix) had before the young ladies. He completely looked like a another person, was he possessed or something. He is generaally a very very dangerous person to associate with because of his unparralled skills in and outside of the battle field.

Dan remembered that he met this guy when his family had forced him to go on a mission just because his older brother is a lieutenant at a special division force. Calix was ruthless and very calculative and he made his older brother run for his money because he was always ahead of all them. Since then, he liked Calix not because of his personality(in Dan's opinion, Calix has a twisted personality.) but because he helped him put his older brother in his place. Since then they collaborated on businesses and when they became successful, Dan's family stopped pestering him about military work. 

" In any case, you can decide on what you want to do. We won't stop you." Calix said 

" Really?" Hannah said as she jumped out of her seat

"I knew you were cool from the first moment I saw you!" Hannah said as she gave Calix a thumbs up to which Alyssa and Dove simply rolled their eyes. 

Calix laughed and said, " You have a good eye." 

" Thank you, you are better than my friends over there. They do not value this valuable talent I have." Hannah said as she puffed her cheeks and scoffed at her friends. 

Dove decided that before her idiotic friend decides to share all of their life experiences with the doctor, it is best that they leave. She looked at Alyssa and th both nodded in agreement as though they could read each other's minds. 

" We are leaving. Thank you so much for everything." Dove announced 

" What? Already?" Hannah protested and Dove went to drag her away from the doctor who was bound to know all their secrets if they stayed any longer.

" Yes, thank you for everything only excluding the stuff you guys said in the meeting. To put it properly, thank you for protecting us at the time of the attack and thank you for your concern about our safety." Alyssa said which left the two men speechless.

Dove and Hannah smiled because they knew that although their friend was innocent and all, she knew how to hold a grudge.
