Chapter 3

Not hesitating for a moment the intruder tried to turn around and slash at Dawn but he grabbed their hand and then their neck

"WHO ARE YOU AND HOW DID YOU FIND ME!?"

He looked the intruder up and down and his grip tightened around her neck.

"A woman?"

She was wearing a mask that covered her face up until her nose.

Much to Dawn's suprise she had dark skin and her eyes had no white in them.

They were black like he was staring in to nothingness.

Shock came over Dawn's face as he recognised what the woman was.

"Wait you are a-!" but before he could finish his sentance a gust of wind blew him through the wall and in to the woods.

With Dawn no longer gripping her neck the intruder has fallen to her knees and began gashping for air until a voice called out for her.

"SISTER!"

Then a child revailed themself from the shadows.

They had white hair and bright green eyes.

Their skin was white as snow and wore a white cloak that was paded with thick fur from the inside.

He rushed to her side with a concerned look.

"Are you alright sis?" Asked the little one.

But he didn't recive an answear instead the woman with the void like eyes was still gashping for air.

Her mind was racing and didn't even notice the little one standing next to her.

"He recognizes my kind!"

No matter the race or world there is a curse that affects every being.

The touch of the abyss.

This curse affects those mortals who gazed in to the abbyss where the light of the twin suns do not reach.

It does not matter if you did it by accident or on purpose the abbyss WILL leave some kind of mark on you.

The most common is the skin becoming darker and the eyes becoming fully black.

While it is most known as a curse some consider it a blessing since it not only increases the persons affinity for the dark arts, but also gives a boost to every aspect of ones self.

The only down side is that the cursed is weak to holy magic and weakend when staying in direct sunlight.

"This man encountered cursed beings before! And the scars on his body."

Fear slowly crawled its way on to the cursed womans face as she realised that they made a grave mistake assuming this man would be easy to kill.

"We need to run NOW!!" Shouted the cursed woman.

The child next to her was startled by this and responded in a shaky voice.

"B- but I took care of him, see!"

He then pointed to where the man was sent flying.

They both looked in that direction and as the smoke cloud faded, they didnt see the man, only his axe.

Suddenly Dawn came bursting through the roof with a loud roar.

The intruder grabbed the little boy next to her and dodged to the side.

With a loud bang Dawn landed and slammed his fists at the wooden floor of the house making the whole thing collapse.
