129 Chapter 129: Revelation XV

Serena saw Charlton halt, but she did not think much about it as her body moved almost by instinct. She stood from her seat and quickly walked towards him. Then, she flung herself to him, held him, hugged him, clung to him almost desperately. Gods, she has already been through so much, but she did not feel as much desperation as she did that moment. 

Charlton who expected Serena's hate and resentment was surprised with the welcome he received. His left brow raised minutely. Doesn't she know? The news was printed on 'the Times' so his involvement should be crystal, unless… did she not see it? In either case, he placed his arms around her instinctively.

"Charlton… what took you so long? I have been waiting here for you for so long. I… I thought you no longer wanted to see me…" she said, her tone reproachful yet pitiful at the same time.
