126 Chapter 126: Revelation XII

After changing to a tea gown and finding her appearance presentable, Serena exited her room with Beatrice in tow. On their way to the drawing room, it was strangely quiet and empty. However, as Serena's mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Leonard's purpose for his visit, she did not notice.

Looking back, her last private conversation with him has been more than a month ago at Parkfield mansion and it did not end in a good note. Admittedly, she was at fault and should have been the one to initiate approaching and apologizing to him, but what to do? He would never agree to her getting back with Charlton again. Well, at least not in the manner she did.

In any case, he was there now so perhaps, him forgiving her, was not far off.
