Chapter 1

" Sensei , we were playing near the beach when we found a small kid .. I think he must have encountered shipwreck and got washed off here alone . I brought him here for now but should we do with him from now on ? "

Kyoshiro listened to his disciple's talk with a smile on his face and after thinking for a while told him to bring the child to his personal room . Kyoshiro had taken some orphans in but it does not mean that he would take in just anybody . He would himself confirm the character of the child first and even let them learn swordsmanship from his dojo is the children have knack for hard training and most importantly good heart.

After three minutes Kyoshiro took a look at the five year old child before him and felt confused because he could feel a calm demeanor from the child which was unwitting for a small child .

" Child , can you tell me your name ? " Kyoshiro decided to ignore the confusion because it was a good thing that the child before him was intelligent. The world was cruel place and it would be good for him if he could understand the truths faster.

" Ahem.. my name is Nick . Thank you for allowing me to live here as I'm homeless now after our ship got attacked by sea king and I managed to survive through luck . " Kyoshiro could tell that Nick was telling the truth because it was simple task to confirm it using his Observation Haki on Nick .

After both of them chatted for an hour , Kyoshiro was completely impressed by Nick and wanted to train this child in swordsmanship. So he decided to directly ask if Nick was interested or not .

" Nick , do you want to learn the art of sword from my dojo ? I guarantee that you will become stronger fast if you train according to my instructions.. "

Nick fell into deep thought after hearing the offer . Kyoshiro thought that Nick was considering his offer but in fact he was only a bit right because currently Nick was talking with someone else inside his mind .

Nick was precisely a reincarnator who had recieved a system from God too . He never expected to encounter a sea king right after few days of his reincarnation though .

Apparently he had been transmigrated into a 5 year old orphan's body who worked on a merchant ship and died from getting hit by heavy luggage on his head . Just after a few days , Nick had been forming plans for future when the sea king came and completely wasted his plans . Fortunately Nick was lucky and got washed off on this island and got rescued by some disciples of Kyoshiro's dojo.

Nick was a fan of anime culture in his past life so he had watched many anime in his free time . Naruto and One piece were one of his most favorites . He had never expected to die early , get Shinobi System and get a new chance at life in One Piece World . He really had to thank the girl he had protected from the terrorists who actually turned out to be earth's best future scientist who invented many revolutionary stuff in future .

When Kyoshiro invited Nick to become a disciple at his dojo , for the first time Nick heard System's robotic voice inside his head since arriving in this world . He was glad that he had really gotten the system and excited because of the future possibilities.

System had issued a Quest and Nick checked the details inside his mind .

Quest : Don't waste the chance to train under the guidance of a Grandmaster Swordsman. Accept Kyoshiro's proposal and secure a place to live for near future !

Reward: Chakra awakening pill

Nick wanted to chat more with system and know more about chakra awakening pill but he decided to not let Kyoshiro wait anymore because it would be rude and Nick can talk with system anytime once he is alone .

" Thanks for the proposal Sensei ! I gladly accept . " Nick did not know the right way to display his respect according to Japanese culture so he just gave Kyoshiro a deep bow.

Kyoshiro looked happy as he had great expectations from Nick because he could feel confidence, calmness and intelligence from Nick which were the qualities required to practice the way of sword. He was sure of the fact that Nick would definitely become a great expert in future as long as he trained hard .

After that Kyoshiro took Nick with him and introduced him to his fellow disciples of same dojo . Nick was polite with them but inwardly he felt no attachment to them because to him these people were just some acquaintances.

The main Hall of the dojo impressed Nick though because it was big and many wooden swords along with practice gear were placed there . Nick was searching for Kuina though because he knew that she must still be alive according to the timeline.

Nick found through newspapers that currently ten years have passed since the Great Age of Pitates started. So considering that his current body is Five years old then Nick must be same age as Luffy . Luffy set sail when he was 17 and it was year 22 in Great Age of Pirates then . Zoro was two years older than Luffy and one year younger than Kuina . Kunai should definitely be alive as she should be just 8 years old currently .

Nick searched for her casually though as he did not want to alert Kyoshiro that he already knew about Kuina . That would be impossible to explain as Nick could not just tell that he knew events from story after all . Unfortunately he did not find her at all but Nick was not disappointed as he would definitely meet her someday anyway. He got to live inside a small abandoned house near the dojo as Nick refused to live with other brats from Dojo .

He never questioned why he could read the language of this world or understand people automatically as it must be one of the perks he got . Nick sat on the old small bed after he finished cleaning the wooden house. It was finally time to see what his System had in store for him .
