2 Ghoul Encounter!

Lin Yi really dislikes pointless talking, especially when enemies waste time chatting instead of fighting.

The old man was surprised by Lin Yi's boldness and didn't defend himself much.

Most of the humans he had hunted would be scared when they saw him like this, so they were easy to control.

With a quick kick, the old man's body twisted and his bones broke.

He flew backward and rolled on the ground a few times.

After the tail attack, it quickly went back inside the old man's body and supported him as he lay on the ground.

Although the old man's neck was almost twisted, it shifted back to its normal position after a few moments. The sound of bones cracking could be heard clearly.

This should have scared Lin Yi, but instead, it made his heart beat faster. He remained surprisingly calm, more composed than ever before.

There was about twelve meters between him and the old man now, so the element of surprise was gone.

Lin Yi got ready to face an angry Ghoul.

Suddenly, the old man burst into wild laughter. He was excited and everyone could hear it.

"Amazing! Truly amazing! Did you know that you smell so temptingly poisonous? It's almost intoxicating! I can't wait to make you a part of me."

As he finished speaking, the tail behind him grew rapidly and reached Lin Yi in an instant.

'A true predator.'

Despite the old man's deceitful words, Lin Yi cursed silently but reacted quickly. Taking the attack head-on would be too dangerous, so he rolled and crawled on the ground to avoid it, even though he looked disheveled.

The tail hit the ground hard, breaking the park's marble flooring.

Meanwhile, Lin Yi ran towards the old man. Based on their previous encounters, the old man wasn't very fast in reacting, and close-quarters combat gave Lin Yi the best chance of winning.

As he sprinted, Lin Yi felt the advantages of his current body. He could do almost anything he wanted.

The old man didn't expect Lin Yi's speed, so he quickly retreated in panic.

The tail went back and thrust towards Lin Yi again. However, Lin Yi could now see the tail's fast movements clearly.

With a quick dodge, Lin Yi bent his right arm and used his elbow to create an opening in the tail's attack. He clenched his left hand into a fist and delivered a strong blow to the old man's stomach.

With that punch, the old man's eyes widened, and blood and fluids sprayed from his mouth. But it didn't last long. The old man's eyes showed a fierce look, and he grabbed both of Lin Yi's arms quickly.

Then, with his mouth wide open like a beast, he bit towards Lin Yi's shoulder.

Lin Yi screamed as a piece of flesh was torn from his shoulder, causing intense pain. But once again, his brain released hormones that calmed him down quickly. Instinctively, he lifted his foot and kicked the old man away.

Lin Yi's eyes flickered with ferocity, shining with a blood-red light.

The smell of blood filled his nose, and the sense of imminent danger thrilled him like never before.

Lin Yi closed in again, and the swinging tail attacked him once more. But Lin Yi had gradually figured out the tail's movements and pattern of attack.

Dodging the attack once more, he used his uninjured left arm to grab the tail and stepped on the old man who was trying to get up.

"Ah!"

With a roar, despite the injury to his right arm, Lin Yi tensed his muscles and exerted force with both arms. Roars and screams echoed one after another. In the next moment, Lin Yi forcefully pulled out the entire tail.

Blood splattered, staining his shirt red.

The old man gasped for breath and struggled frantically, but Lin Yi simply threw away the tail and pinned the old man beneath him, punching him with his fists.

Lin Yi thought he heard the old man begging for mercy, but he couldn't make out the words clearly. In that moment, he simply followed his instincts.

When he finally stopped attacking, Lin Yi felt somewhat numb. It was only when he couldn't hear the old man breathing anymore that his whole body suddenly relaxed, and he collapsed to the ground.

He had lost a lot of blood and felt dizzy. Exhaustion and pain overwhelmed him completely.

"Damn it, is my journey through this world going to end before it even started?" Lin Yi murmured to himself.

Suddenly, he thought he heard some movement, but this time he didn't have the strength to respond.
