29 Ambush Cap 27

June 13th, 2006

"Sam, I'm going out to buy groceries, I'll be back soon."

"Oh Henry, take advantage of the fact that you're already going to buy stuff, bring me a spicy potato."

"Dean, I've told you several times that you need real food, man, it's going to kill you someday."

"Samy first of all, that's real food and secondly, go read your little girl books."

Watching the brothers discuss their daily quarrel, Henry sighed wearily and left the inn in the direction of a nearby mercenary.

The last three days after the hunt had been spent waiting for Dean's wound to improve. Surprisingly, the wound had practically healed, perhaps thanks to his physiognomy or his half-supernatural lineage.

Taking advantage of this break, Henry meditated on his new ability almost all the time.

Sometimes he ended up overdoing it, closing his eyes on the table, pretending to be asleep when he was actually circulating his spirit and mana throughout his body.

His strenuous efforts paid off handsomely, as he managed to accumulate two hundred points, for a total of twelve hundred mana.

His spirit also increased by ten points during his meditation, but unfortunately his performance slowed down when he hit a bottleneck.

After driving along the highway for a short while, Henrique spotted the mercenary that had been buying groceries for the last few days.

Curiously, today there were no customers, a strange situation, as normally the place would have five or six people shopping every day.

She only realized that something was definitely wrong when the lights began to flicker strangely.

"Demons or maybe just power problems...I hope it's the latter."

Taking a pistol from his inventory, he moved forward slowly, peering into the place where his spirit felt most present.

Next to the cashier was Jerry, the former attendant now completely dead and full of warm blood.

"The blood is warm, he probably died a few minutes ago..."

Henrique cast a brief glance at the body before feeling a sneaky blow to his back.

"Bullet time"

As if he had extra eyes, he leapt with a somersault, slowing everything down with his skill as he summoned a melee weapon in his hand, pulling the trigger while still in the air.

The sneak attacker had no time to dodge, by the time he saw Henry pass over him it was too late, a flight-like movement with a pitch-black barrel in his eyes was the last thing he saw.

"Impossible..."

Bang bang

[ Congratulations on killing the low XP+10% demon ]

After two well-aimed shots to the skull, special pure white bullets penetrated fiercely, spreading red mucus all over the surrounding shelves.

"So it was a demon... I think this is my record for the fastest kill, I think I owe it to my attributes and this weapon."

[ Holy Spirit Gun Rank C+ (Taurus Gx4) ]

[ Summary : A pistol baptized with the blood of the holy spirit, its bullets deal lethal damage to low-level demons, superficial damage to medium-level demons and zero damage to high-level demons].

[ Item Value: 2,500 soul coins ]

This was one of the items he bought after selling Freddy's glove, he urgently needed something efficient since exorcising demons took too long, if it was a battle of numbers he would be at a disadvantage.

Henrique thought, bending down to search the cardaver for any useful information, after all it was very strange for a demon to be in a random store for no reason.

"There are five more of them and they're not hiding their presence."

Henry, who was pondering the previous attack, sensed five presences entering the store, unlike the previous stealthy ones, these were not hiding and were advancing brazenly.

There were a total of three men and two women, all of whom had black pupils, characteristic of their race, perhaps in the hope of intimidating the human in front of them.

Unfortunately, his efforts were futile, as Henry felt no fear of beings weaker than himself.

As he watched, he was greeted by several white lights, causing a large, mocking smile to appear on his face.

"What do a bunch of crawling worms from hell want with me?"

The largest of them took a step forward, probably the leader of this group. Feeling the contempt of the human in front of him, an expression of anger rose in his stomach.

"Hello humble human, I see you've managed to kill one of our people... As Mr. Alaster said, it seems you're really special..."

"Alaster? The great torturer from hell?"

"That's right, human. The Great Lord has taken an interest in you, even if I don't know the reason for such nobility, as he ordered, I'll have to take you away..."

The first words out of the demon's mouth didn't surprise Henry, but the next ones really made his heart race.

He couldn't understand why the great torturer, one of the strongest demons in hell, would send his servants after him, after all, Alaster was supposed to be on vacation in hell until Azazel's reign was over.

A great thought came into Henry's head, perhaps his powers had been observed by Alaster or one of his minions, the most likely option at the moment.

Maybe Azazel sent it because he got too close to the brothers, there were too many options and most of them didn't have a good result.

"It's not even a month since I got my powers, I'm already being targeted by one of the top ten demons in this world, it really sucks!"

Henry's mind began to spin rapidly, he knew that being targeted by Alaster would bring huge changes to the rest of this world.

Even though he tried his best not to change history, in the end it was a dead end.

"It looks like you're not good enough, so I'll have to break a few of your limbs before I take you to the lord!"

The demons, already impatient with the silence, decided to act. Three of the demons advanced in a triangle with the aim of immobilizing Henry.

"It's no use moaning about it now... I'll end this as quickly as possible, I'll go on a journey later, only with greater strength will I fear no one."

Observing the attack of three demons, Henrique knew that this was no time to fight lightly.

So far he had only shown his illusion and reality magic, but fighting five demons, he would need to reveal some cards.

Realizing that his weapon would be of no use in hand-to-hand combat, he holstered his pistol and advanced at high speed.

He blocked the cross coming towards him with one hand, while dodging the kick aimed at his legs with a slight jump.

The remaining demon's attack came down hard on his hammer-shaped ribs, but Henrique, who was already in the air, managed to pull off an impossible move.

He threw the demon in his hand towards his companion, tossing them both like bowling pins.

Throwing the "human" who easily weighed eighty kilos as if he were a doll, Henrique sent the two demons flying, who came into close contact as they were thrown into the shelves.

"How the hell does a human have so much strength? Maybe you're not human?"

"To your misfortune I'm completely human... maybe with just a few differences hehehe."

After the brief exchange of blows, the leader of the demons commanded everyone to advance together while he himself shot towards Henrique with a knife, beginning to exchange dozens of blows.

Consuming a hundred mana, Henrique summoned a pair of blue energy gauntlets over the demons' gaze, firing with his maximum active speed, his momentum building around him.

The nearest demon was unable to react when his head felt a huge impact, his body rising from the ground and being launched like a bullet towards the ceiling.

The other demons went into tupor, looking up they saw their colleague with his head planted in the roof, looking like a lamp.

"How do you have so much strength, you wretch? Shit, all of you move together or we'll die here!"

His abilities made the numbers seem less than advantageous. With his bullet time active, Henrique could see all the blows coming at him at reduced speed.

His strength and speed were already out of the ordinary, and with his skills active he had a physique similar to a super soldier, easily able to exchange blows with low-level demons.

After a few blows reinforced with the blue energy gauntlet, the demons were already out of breath and breathing heavily.

Those with minor injuries were bleeding heavily, others with more serious injuries had limbs distorted or missing after receiving Henry's attacks.

Even with skills superior to normal humans, they were a few points below Henrique, who kept reinforcing and attacking, with a two-ton punch force and ghost-like speed.

His fighting skills at maximum level made Henrique look like a Bruce Lee, his blows aimed at embolization sites, so only the leader remained in front of him when the rest were scattered on the ground.

"I can't accept it, how can a humble human easily defeat demons, who the hell are you?"

The demon, now full of wounds, exclaimed, his life story making it clear that all humans were as weak as ants.

He couldn't accept that his group had really been defeated, looking at the human who hadn't shed a drop of sweat, a huge rage rose from his stomach and choked in his throat.

COF COF

"DAMNED HUMAN! LORD ALASTER WILL TORTURE YOUR SOUL ENDLESSLY!"

"I'll be waiting for him right here, by the way, send my regards to purgatory."

Bang bang bang

[ Congratulations on killing 5 demons low XP+50% ]

"Looks like it's over, I hope Alaster is busy torturing souls in hell and won't be seeing me anytime soon after this..."

Henry muttered worriedly, the possibility of facing a Lilith-level demon sent shivers down his spine, he had no confidence at the moment, since high-level demons possessed many powerful abilities as well as surreal attributes.

Alaster, for example, possessed abilities such as immortality, high-level telekinesis, superhuman strength and speed, immunity to bullets and anti-demon knives, as well as being able to fight one-on-one with Castiel, the lord's combat angel.

Remembering that Castiel, with his full grace, could easily handle shotgun blasts without shaking his suit, punches and kicks from normal humans didn't even leave a mark on his face.

Ready to leave, Henry threw the bodies of the demons into his inventory.

Removing the cameras from the scene so as not to be filmed, he soon erased all clues to the crime scene, preparing to open the door and leave, but he heard a voice that he swore he thought was a hallucination from his mind.

"Actually, I've scheduled a little time to see you, my little wizard."

He swore at Chuck, preferring to hear Amara's voice in his ear than the cold, playful voice that sent his body into a state of maximum tension.

Sweat began to form on his hands and forehead, and his mind began to spin, looking for a way out of the situation.

"I'm so fucked, so fucked!"
