A Nightmare on Elm Street

At night, in a psychiatric hospital, a group of teenagers were conversing in a closed room; the young ones appeared pale with dark circles due to lack of sleep. Recent events were pushing the group to the brink of sanity.

They were being plagued by an entity that could attack and kill them while they slept - a man with a fully burned body, wearing a black and red striped sweater. He always carried his black Fedora hat and razor gloves.

There had been three deaths so far.

Today, they were attempting their last plan, which involved joining in the dream world to battle this entity.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Freddy Krueger had already killed two victims before targeting Kaiser, a shy boy who didn't communicate well. It seemed he was a foreigner and didn't master the local language.

Freddy thought he would be the easiest to kill, after all, he was a teenager far from home, unsure of his whereabouts, and unable to communicate with others. He must be in fear all the time.

When Freddy arrived at the location of his next victim, he saw the boy in the middle of a vast field, the sun shining as it should always be.

Freddy tried to change the setting to something darker to begin the show, but for some reason, he couldn't alter the location. After trying for a few seconds, he concluded that the boy had surpassed the other teenagers and learned to control the dream world even more, while the others could only change themselves. It seemed the boy could control the place he was in.

He thought that the boy's desire to go home must have caused this control effect on the location.

So Freddy decided to employ the same tactic he had used with Joey. He transformed into the appearance of a nurse who was closer to the boy and usually responsible for dealing with him, then approached the boy.

However, when he was about to reach the boy and call him, the boy turned towards him, and as he did, his hair seemed to change to a light pink color. Simultaneously, Freddy could see tattoos appearing on the boy, and things got even stranger when suddenly two more arms sprouted from the boy.

Freddy's cold, dead heart seemed to start pumping blood again as he beheld this entity. His instincts screamed at him to flee, and just as he contemplated doing something, Kaiser moved his hands in a strange symbol while saying, "Domain expansion."

Tinkle...Tinkle

 "Malevolent Shrine."

And these were the last words Freddy heard before ceasing to exist.

In a dark place, Kaiser was alone as he gazed at a holographic list.

Kaiser was a programmer; he earned enough to live comfortably. He led a normal life until an unexpected accident took his life.

Fortunately, he was graced by an entity that gave him a choice: he could travel through horror movies, or he could choose another path.

Unfortunately, the alternative path was non-existence, so Kaiser ended up accepting his fate.

Luckily for Kaiser, his pastime was watching horror movies, especially the bad ones. There are certain movies where he roots for the villains to win; it doesn't make sense for such dumb people to survive.

Returning to Kaiser's current situation, he is now in a waiting room where he can select the next horror movie. Unfortunately, there is also a time limit in this room in which Kaiser can stay.

Kaiser had to choose a world from five options on each trip; the list of worlds changed every time. When he first arrived here, his list was as follows:

[List of worlds]

Jeepers Creepers

Scream

A Nightmare on Elm Street

Tremors

The Swamp Thing

These were his choices. Kaiser used his time to figure out which world might be the best. He analyzed the system to see if there were any flaws he could discover.

While tinkering with the system, he discovered something very promising. It seemed that, as long as he chose the world, he could decide which movie he wanted to enter. The system explained that a newer movie wouldn't interfere with an older one.

Therefore, Retcons wouldn't occur, as all the changes in the villains, who seemed to have a different past in every movie, wouldn't take place.

And to conclude his choice, he discovered that upon entering the chosen world, the system would create an identity for him, and not even any kind of telepathic power or hypnosis could be used to see and discover his past life, just like the system.

As for the shop system, it seemed to have many abilities and powers as well as items, all sold for points that could be earned by defeating villains or killing them. Each villain would give a certain amount of points based on the difficulty they represented in their original movie.

Human villains without powers, like in Panic, would yield very few points, so Kaiser crossed them off the list, as it wasn't worth the danger he would be in. As for the rest of the worlds, he could earn many points, especially in Tremors, where he would have many creatures to kill.

In the end, Kaiser chose A Nightmare on Elm Street. He remembered that in the third movie, you could defeat Freddy in a dream battle, and thanks to the system, his greatest fears wouldn't be easily discovered. It was a perfect opportunity. If everything went well, he could earn many points, and if it went wrong, he remembered that in the end of that movie, the heroes still won. So, it was a win-win for him. If he lost the battle, he just had to stay alive until the end of the film.

So in the end, he chose A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, and upon entering the world, he discovered that he couldn't communicate as he should. It seemed the English used in this world was different from what he used in his other life. Some words were still understandable, but he was far from being able to communicate as he wished.

He had seen the translation ability in the store, but it hadn't crossed his mind that he would need this skill in his very first world.

In the end, he could only remain isolated while waiting for the chance to kill Freddy.

When the moment arrived, he used all his power from the start. He chose to use the abilities from the manga Jujutsu Kaisen precisely because they were perfect for dealing with malevolent entities like curses and ghosts.

In the end, he easily defeated Freddy, who didn't even know what had hit him.

This earned him 3000 points, and now he was back in the waiting room, contemplating the store and deciding which world would be his next choice.

[List of worlds]

Scream

Bird Box

Sixteen Stab

Saw

Child's Play

Seeing the Kaiser's list, he became pensive. He had already chosen the "Speech Translator [Basic] " ability, no matter which world he selects, he will need this skill.

Now, he had 3000 points left to spend, but first, he had to decide which world to choose. Only then could he spend his points wisely and survive.

Looking at his list of worlds, he realized that most of the movies were about fighting humans, which would yield few points. That left him with two films.

In one of them, Kaiser would have to fight creatures that, when glimpsed, could drive him to self-destruction or turn him into a psychopath who tried to kill other survivors. So, he skipped that option without a second thought.

He ended up choosing "Child's Play" as his next goal. It was supernatural, which would yield more points, and it wasn't too difficult to kill. Now, he just had to decide which movie to choose so he could devise a proper plan to defeat the doll.
